Since being with Acorn for the last 3 years, i have had nothing but trouble. From losing the keys on the way in, breaking the gas tap, to calling up every month for the rent, to paying for a check every 6 months but not getting one for almost 2 years, and then losing the keys AGAIN on the way out, i would never recommend this company to anyone. If you are a landlord, run. The other direction!
I have found rental properties through Winkworth, Blackheath twice now, and could not recommend them more. The genuine kindness, sympathy and quality of service they provide is unparalleled in the area, totally free of sleazy sales-man tactics. It is refreshing to be met with staff who has the 'long-game' view of finding the right property for the tenant and also the right tenant for the landlord.

The rental department is absolutely unprofessional and utter rubbish. The agent and I have arranged a day to view different flats in the morning. I have someone to look after my child because the agent told me he can't drive around to show me flats with a child in it as his insurance is not covered.
So the agent didn't turn up at the end without notifying me in advance and his colleague told me the viewings booked are not on the diary so they can't take me to view the properties because they have are 'short of staff' and 'busy'. I ended up wasted my time and money travelling and childcare because of this very rubbish and useless agent.
Very unorganised, unprofessional and irresponsible. Cannot imagine what kind of service I would receive if I rent through them.
I would recommend people avoiding it unless you want to wast your energy and time. Rent through some other agencies I'm sure you'll get much better service.

This relates to Westwood Property Services, who I believe fall under Hunters at Blackfen/Sidcup. I strongly suggest that you avoid this company. My experience with them was nothing but aggravation. Having rented with them for 2+ years - paying on time and being a good tenant, during which they forced me to suffer through excess property damp - at the end of the tenancy they tried their best to take unwarranted chunks of my deposit, ignoring all logical argument and simply doing what they wished. One example included myself damaging one curtain a little and agreeing for this to be deducted, but this agent, through greed, sought to replace the curtains for all of the windows in that room. Equally, they tried to pin broken things on me that were fully intact and working when I left (as reinforced by the thorough inventory check out) and provided receipts without dates, seeking to deceive. An agent called Pam is the source of this flagrant disregard of reason. You'd do well to avoiding renting with this company and particularly via Pam. Rent elsewhere.
Absolutely impressed with Charlie - a true assets to Anthony Martin. He’s quick, responsive and knowledgeable in lettings. Photos taken and property uploaded online within 1 hour 45 minutes, and I received a call letting me know. Well done Charlie.
So far I've been waiting 21days for my deposit to be returned and keep getting fobbed off by the property maintenance department saying landlords verbally agreed but needs to put it in writing, no further correspondence from them that was a week ago , I'm still no clearer as to when I'm getting this back, I had the house I left completely redecorated before giving back the keys ..quick enough to take the deposit, renters beware!!!!!!

I wouldn't trust these guys at all. I got them to rent out my property but not only did they fail to place a rental payment into my account...making me miss a mortgage payment! Luckily, the bank was OK with it and allowed me to make the payment a few days after. I learnt after that the tenant had actually made the payment in time, it was Christopher Russell that failed to pass this on!
The last draw was charging me for the renewal of a rental contract that had not even happened. Our tenant had never been approached for renewal or signed any renewal contract. They kept the money though and to date still haven't returned it.
Needless to say, we decided to ditch them and deal directly with our tenant, who also didn't like them much either. It's a shame but totally lost trust in them.
