Please, if there is anything you do, do not go with Black Katz if you are a tenant or a landlord. I don’t care how stunning the property may be, they are not worth it. They are unprofessional, rude, non caring and have no interest in your wellbeing or the state of the property. All they care about is making as much money as they possibly can. Time and time again they let us down as tenant going as far as leaving us without power in the middle of winter for 2 days, resulting in us having to sort out the problems ourselves. Upon exit of properties (as we have been with them more than once) they provide the most pedantic exit checks and do everything within their power to ensure as little of your deposit is returned to you as possible. They have claimed working hours, good luck reaching them within them. They start an hour later and finish an hour earlier, oftentimes emailing you right before they close so you dont have time to respond and end up waiting for days. They are truly, the worst of the worst. Please, avoid at any cost.... Read more

My experience with the Black Katz agency was perfect. I asked Shayla to visit a flat at 11am and got an answer 10 minutes later to visit it at 1pm on the same day. The processing of my documents was fast and efficient, and allowed me to move in within the next week of my search. The team was super reactive to provide details and answer questions, thanks Amy Molly and Rachel. One thing to note : the black Katz website can seem suspicious compared to more recent comparators like RightMove but the level of service from the team is excellent. 100% would recommend, thanks.... They took my safety deposit and then refused me because I’m a Vet in my probation period The lady that took my money “ Shayla Khan “ blocked me directly after , after calling the agency , I was told I’m being impatient and that it will take 3 days to get the money back , 3 days later nothing yet . Disgusting approach to potential customers and terrible customer service , unprofessional. The least to say is that I didn’t receive my safety deposit back and I’m still blocked by there employee , not even an apology for wasting my time .... Read more

The agent was nice and fair, but the administration and following part was awful. The practice was handled with a great lack of professionality, transparency and humanity. The administrator did not even know the legislation (what documents may be provided for a right to rent check), was never available nor reachable the days prior to entering the house, and ultimately left me homeless for the weekend because of the a money transfer not been cleared again (despite an urgent transfer which actually cleared prior to the starting date). But hey: it's the weekend, who cares about leaving a person in the street because I can't bother to peform a double check. - Left homeless for a weekend (in which I was paying the house), because nobody could bother to check the money transfer for the final deposit - Promised unfurnished "as seen", came almost empty - Director of the agency disappearing for days and then telling me the day before the entry "Sorry, you will enter next week" - Fixings and repairs not done as required - I have received a piece of broken key I don't even know what to use for - Lack of technical knowledge of the laws and guidelines (I had to explain the administrator that an EEA ID card is equivalent to the passport, according to the UK 2016 statute on rents) - Lack of humanity and transparency: you are pretty much just a bag of money... Our offer was accepted on May 23rd, for moving in June 1st. We wired the deposit the next day. On May 31st at 3pm, they hadn't signed the contract yet. When I called them on the phone asking what was going on, they said that the background check would "hopefully" be done by the end of the day. My wife and I had given them everything they had asked for, including statements from all of our bank accounts.
