I’ve had such a wonderful experience looking for a 3 bedroom flat with Black Katz, and most importantly the experience was certainly made enjoyable and stress free with the huge help of the agent Gary, who was extremely friendly and helpful on the phone straight away, and continued to be the best throughout. I haven’t had such a great experience looking for a flat elsewhere, nor have I received much help from other agencies agents, but at Black Katz Gary went above and beyond for me and my friends and we are eternally great full. The whole house hunting experience was super fun and we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Everything was sorted so quickly, and we secured the flat within a week! And booking a viewing with Black Katz for the property was also so easy and quick. I highly recommend Black Katz, and I would also like to shout out Gary one more time! He’s the best.... Read more

They use Target Inventories (ran by Rachel Nerhard who used to work at Blackkatz) who is completely incompetent. She 'forgot' to send our marked up inventory report to the landlord, resulting in a dispute at the end of a tenancy which is what the inventory report is meant to prevent. She will avoid your calls and emails - £125 down the drain for an inventory report that's not worth the paper it's written on. Otherwise letting went fine with Blackkatz . UPDATE 10/08: the 'owner' Rachel Nerhard (who simultaneously claims she is not related to Blackkatz, responds to this review by addressing "Francesca". Not sure who Francesca is???? Rachel also fails to understand that, had she sent the marked up inventory report to the landlord as she should have done, this would have been evidence to help resolve any claims at the end of the tenancy. Instead, we had to rely on other supporting evidence to deal with the landlord as both BK and Rachel washed their hands after we paid the tenancy fees etc. Feel like I'm losing brain cells by engaging with her any further, hope you never have to deal with Rachel Nerhard!!!... I was shown flats by Johnny. He was so professional. When mentioned to him that I reached the first flat he wanted to show me, about 30minutes earlier, he came as soon as he could. He showed us different flats in the areas we mentioned without wasting our time. He really listened to our needs and helped getting the best deal we could in the flat that we currently rent. I rented a flat through Black Katz in 2017. When I moved in, the flat was infested with fleas. The previous tenant had cats even though this was not allowed in the tenancy agreement, but the landlord knew about it. The flat was messy when I had my viewing and apparently nobody had noticed about the fleas or taken proper care of it. Even though Black Katz sent pest control, it took more than 6 weeks till I could live flea-free. In the first weeks it was impossible to be in the flat, since the infestation was severe and I had flea bites all over. I never received any monetary compensation or any apologies from Black Katz or the landlord they represent. In contrary, after a while they acted like I was making all of this up, telling me that the infestation should be gone by now. In fact, there were still fleas around, which I had proof for, but nobody ever attended the property to check. After a while they stopped responding to my emails. I was told that a flea infestation is a risk that the tenant bears, not the landlord. I don't think this is fair in this case, when the infestation was caused by a previous tenant. I would not rent or buy through Black Katz again.... Read more

Myself and 2 others were supposed to move into a property being managed by Black Katz. We paid all of the money (over £5000), showed all of the appriorate documentation, all we had to do was sign the tenancy agreement. The real estate held our money for 3 weeks before informing us, the day before our move in date, that the landlady did not have the appropriate HMO license to let to us. At times they were unprofessional and terrible communicators. Very disappointed and would not recommend this agency.... Read more

She was very attentive, professional and friendly and only showed me properties that fit the description of what I was looking for and within my budget. They are really driven for customer satisfaction, the paperwork and referencing was really fast and straightforward and a lot of it was done online saving some paper and trees! BRILLIANT EXERPIENCE! Aidan from blackkatz was able to find the perfect property for me. He stuck to my budget and location requirements to ensure I was placed in the best available property. As I wasn't living in London at the time and travel was extortionate, Aidan made sure I only made one visit to view properties and also called me once a week with updates on my property search to ensure I was happy with the progress in finding the perfect flat. Horrible experience with Black Katz. All the flats on their website are gone and once you call them they try to sell you something that you did not ask for. Black Katz was great few years ago but it is becoming really bad and their service client is awful. Also all their properties are old and dirty. A lot of friends have mentioned that finding a place in London is a nightmare, so i was uncertain when i popped into BlackKatz by chance after work one day. Met Aidan who very kindly discussed options with me and immediately offered to show me several properties straight away. Being new to the area, he explained where the nearest tube stations/shops were and offered very impartial advice. From viewing one property, i immediately knew that this was the one.
