Alex & David at Harpenden branch gave great advice throughout the sales process, from market valuation, all the way through to the agreed sale.
Once the sale is agreed I got passed to a sales progressor which was Mandy at St Albans branch, she was super helpful with solicitors, the buyers, and progressing the sale. She was always available for any queries or communications. Thank you Mandy!

B&H achieved a good sale price (in a strong selling market) but once the house was under offer, communication was very poor and unresponsive. There was little customer support at this point, I was often left to update them on progress rather than the other way around. I've had experience of buying/selling many times and this stood out as an unwelcome new experience, for this reason I would not use them again

And although our journey through the sale and then through to completion has been a bit fraught, we have been fantastically well supported by both the sales team in Harpenden (Mandy James, David, and Gareth) and by the sales progressor (Mandy Atkins).
Particularly a thanks to Mandy A, who has been exceptional in the way she held everything together, when a buyer further down our sales chain decided to be a bit difficult just before we were about to exchange across the chain.
Highly recommended estate agent. Would use again but relocating away from Hertfordshire.

Mandy James showed us an apartment we were viewing on behalf of our daughter. Mandy was on time, helpful, and prepared. She told us the attributes of the property, and gave me a detailed fact sheet. The next day Mandy called me to get my thoughts. In my experience, this is unusual (and expected) in Harpenden, so Mandy stood head and shoulders above the rest. As the conversation closed, Mandy suggested an alternative property to view, and gave me good reasons to consider it. If you want your property sold in a good, professional manner, then I rate Mandy highly.

We used the Harpenden branch of Bradford and Howley to sell our house recently. Right from the start we found all the staff to be very professional and very responsive to our phone calls and emails. We had regular phone calls to keep us posted on what was happening, even if nothing was happening, they continued to make contact and stay in touch unlike other estate agents.
Very pleasant and friendly staff, in particular John and Amanda who we saw and dealt with a lot. We will use them again if and when we move again.
