Mandy James showed us an apartment we were viewing on behalf of our daughter. Mandy was on time, helpful, and prepared. She told us the attributes of the property, and gave me a detailed fact sheet. The next day Mandy called me to get my thoughts. In my experience, this is unusual (and expected) in Harpenden, so Mandy stood head and shoulders above the rest. As the conversation closed, Mandy suggested an alternative property to view, and gave me good reasons to consider it. If you want your property sold in a good, professional manner, then I rate Mandy highly.

We used the Harpenden branch of Bradford and Howley to sell our house recently. Right from the start we found all the staff to be very professional and very responsive to our phone calls and emails. We had regular phone calls to keep us posted on what was happening, even if nothing was happening, they continued to make contact and stay in touch unlike other estate agents.
Very pleasant and friendly staff, in particular John and Amanda who we saw and dealt with a lot. We will use them again if and when we move again.

I first met Gareth of the Marshalswick Bradford and Howley branch when I was looking for somewhere to buy. He went out of his way to give me hints and tips about selling my place and buying - even though I was with another agent.
The agent I was with made lots of errors and after the contracted time was over, I made the decision to sell with Bradford and Howley and 2 other agents. The other agents, despite all they promised, weren't able to bring many people round to view and I soon made the decision to go sole agent with Bradford and Howley.
Unfortunately the market was very slow and after so much time on the market, the house was not easy to sell. The team at Marshalswick stuck with it though and kept up momentum keeping bringing prospective buyers round, despite me feeling quite down hearted.
When we finally achieved a sale, the team in St Albans took over and the sale was finalised. Both Marshalswick and St Albans were friendly and approachable and didn't ever mind me asking questions, giving me reassurance etc.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them or in using them again.
