Be careful when renting a property from these estate agents. Despite not sharing a bedroom with another tenant, if they is any damage to their room, you are responsible for it too and it comes off your bond! It is in the contract but I obviously hadn’t noticed or expected this to even be a thing due to me not sharing their bedroom! Also charging £240 for 2 bedrooms to be repainted due to blue tac marks, which is absolutely laughable at the condition they have had me living in it for the past 10 months. After only 2 months of living in the property, there was a pipe leak from the bedroom above me that leaked into my room and destroyed all my furniture and belongings including my own mattress that I had purchased. I had to buy everything again at my own expense, and it’s safe to say I have not been living there since. They did not compensate me for this, I had £50 knocked off my rent for it not been in liveable condition for 3 weeks. The walls was damp and left disgusting marks all over the entire bedroom, this was not repainted and I was expected to live in this condition. Now they are wanting money to paint over some tiny blue tac marks! If I was you, I would run as far away from this company as possible. Nothing but hassle from the minute we rented the property.... Rented with them in my second year of uni, now in the process of booking for my final year (after a year abroad). very helpful, very responsive. Maintenance has always been quick to sort any issues. Wouldn't want to go with any other agency! Cannot attend viewings at the moment so the staff has been very helpful with videos and in answering any questions I have needed via email. Myself and 5 others rented a student house from July 2020 till June 2021. The hassle we had and the lack of professionalism made it unbearable to live in the house. First of all we were each charged almost £600 as a security deposit meaning they took over £3000 from us on top of the £500 rent each month. We moved in to an apparently “professionally cleaned” house but the floors were sticky, there was rubbish everywhere and we had to clean the house before we could even unpack. However when we left we actually hired a cleaner and the house was spotless and yet we were told that money would be taken off our deposit due to a singular stain in the cupboard that clearly couldn’t come out, dishwasher repairs despite never having used the dishwasher the whole year and a mattress being replaced even though that has nothing to do with our tenancy. Throughout the year there was a lack of urgency when it came to household problems and the amount of money the house cost us was vastly out of proportion with the quality. There were consistent issues with the gas, oven, electricity and more and they were all left until we had complained more than once to deal with them. I do not recommend this company to anyone, especially not students as they do not respect students and they clearly take advantage of the fact that students will need somewhere to live and will pay stupid prices.... This is the third year I've rented through this agency, I would definitely deal with them again. My reasons for this are straight forward: 1.Very friendly customer service. 2.They always take the tenants side and never taken a penny from my deposit. 3.Very professional and always available when you require help. 4.The prices are alot cheaper than other agencies and the quality of their properties are considerably high. 5.They listen to what your requirements are, and help you find the appropriate place for you. All paperwork was dealt promptly and they helped us with every step from start to finish even switching utilities on our name , We will definitely recommend these guys specially because of their contractors who attended within 24 hours to rectify repairs even during lockdown.... All the bad reviews are, unfortunately, completely true. Was unsure about getting this property as the estate agent was quite rude, we were told that this house had 3 bathrooms when we signed our agreement and it's in our contract that we should have 3 bathrooms, however our landlord has made them aware that one of the showers has not worked for almost 20 years. House viewings are currently going on at the moment, and one of the estate agents has been incredibly rude and impatient about the fact that some rooms can not be shown due to the fact we are in seminars. First of all this estate agents is very rude, as previously stated in the reviews. Secondly, raza maybe the owner or manager is undoubtedly arrogant and inexperienced in his role. This company would not follow what the law states and if we were to form a collective of customers, this could prove this. Don’t not use this firm of cowboys, they will never get your property let out. If this firm ever forces you to complete a contract or lease, report them for using duress in these documents. If you do have to use this firm for any reason, please always make a recording of what they tell you, because they are not fit to give advice at all and would ruin you in a heart beat.... Read more

Awful agents. Waited outside a property we had a viewing booked at for 15 minutes. When I rang to find out what was going on, I got passed around 3 different agents, none of which knew what they were talking about. Finally, Raza told me that he'd tried ringing me 3 times and sent me 3 texts to cancel the viewing, which he clearly hadn't because if he had then I would've received them. The tenant then came out of the house and said Buraq Estates had never told them there was a viewing, and advised against using them as their service is so terrible. Brian Parry is a horrible, greedy person. Do not rent out rooms from him, unless you want break-ins, electricity issues and hot water running out regularly. 13-17 Longford Place houses are freezing during winter and landlord still charging full £541 pcm for a single room. Absolutely terrific moving out experience, Brian is not a trustworthy person at all. He has charged £40 for cleaning service of clean communal areas. This is not just me, but everyone who came in contact with him, says the same. AVOID IF POSSIBLE!!! I understand this is not direct fault of Buraq Estates, but this agency introduced me to a horrible person like Brian, so if you want to avoid 1-star reviews, stop doing business with him immediately.... After looking at over 6 other houses with different agents ended up signing with Buraq again. These guys are great in sorting out repairs and maintenance. Very unprofessional, got a lift from the agent back to town from the property. The agent was using their phone while driving for the entire journey. Tried to get in touch shortly after about the property with questions about the guarantor process etc. to no avail. After countless emails and phone calls we had enough and went directly to the office. Tried to ring ahead several times to let them know we were coming, again phone went straight to answer machine. When we got to the office a receptionist was on duty, but instead of answering the business phone was sat on her own phone. We asked to speak to someone about our property to get help etc. and the agent we spoke to told us to never show up to the offices again in quite a threatening and rude manner. My short experience with Buraq Estates has been terrible. Arranged a viewing for a property immediately after I had an exam and no one turned up to show me around the house. So I rang them to ask where they were and I was spoken to like I was an inconvenience to them, I'm positive that they wouldn't speak to an older person like this.. Surely, if they want my money, I could at least be spoken to with some common decency. They told me and said they had called me continuously all morning to confirm and I didn't answer (I was in an exam for 2 hours), when I had received only one voicemail. I would expect an established company to call the day before to confirm at least, not 2 hours before the viewing. They then tried to reschedule for 2 hours later when it was only round the corner from their office. It's fair to say that I will NOT be using their services again.... Read more

Friendly staff, however they rented me and 7 friends a house and somehow we ended up having a different agency, not really sure how that works. But they gave us over to an agency called house on Ladybarn lane, Fallowfield, Manchester. This agency has been absolutely terrible and I cannot believe that an established company like buraq estates would switch us to this housing agency, especially as we were not aware.
