His advice and support had an offer accepted within 3days. Then during a problematic sale Tim was brilliant at communicating and providing guidance.

He knows the area exceptionally well, is a consummate professional with a wide experience and provides excellent advice. He communicates on a frequent basis, updating on the progress of the sale and deals adeptly with other stakeholders. He manages "chains" well; getting to the nub of the inevitable problems that emerge and providing workable solutions to them, bringing the sale to a successful conclusion. Sally provides all the back office support to him. All the paperwork and correspondence arrived on time, phone calls were returned promptly and all deadlines were met. In summary, I cannot recommend them highly enough and it was a pleasure to deal with them.

Having moved many times in the past, including an international move (naval family), it came as a bit of a surprise to realise that we'd been living in the same house for 26 years. So moving this time made us feel like first time buyers again as so much had changed . How fortunate we were to have chosen Bushnell Porter to deal with, as Tim Kingsbury guided us through the entire process. We actually sold and bought with him, so we were kept up to date with every step . Tim helped us with how to approach solicitors, when to be firm and when to ease off a little. He is a brilliant communicator, keeping in touch even when there wasn't perhaps much to report, but we really appreciated that personal contact. There were also some dramas going in in the background which we were unaware of, but Tim managed these with consummate tact and professionalism which kept the sale on track. He is good humoured and and friendly, and we enjoyed many a joke and bit of banter with him. We would thoroughly recommend Tim and his team, you really can't do better than using his company!

2021 has certainly been the sellers market but as a first time buyer I cannot recommend Bushnell Porter enough. What was a very stressful experience with other estate agents where you’re made to feel like an inconvenience when arranging viewings, Tim could not have been more helpful. Tim made the whole process from first viewing through to completion stress free, he was always available to help and kept me more informed than my solicitor. Even after exchange Tim even measured up my property for me.

The house we purchased required substantial work meaning we wanted to begin planning the project in advance. Nothing was to much for Tim who arranged access for us on numerous occasions with no complaint.
As we neared completion Tim called weekly, guiding us step by step through the process and helping to chase solicitors for quicker completion. He was super patient with us, teaching us what to say and do to get our solicitors moving. He really went above and beyond to keep us informed and keep things progressing.

After I had my offer accepted, he was able to recommend some local tradespeople to me and picked up on a major error on the survey report. Best of all was how he got me through the tricky exchange not only by nudging the seller's solicitor, teaching me what I should be asking of my solicitor but most of all by being kind and calm to me when the stress of a delayed exchange became too much! He put in so much work to make it all happen.

There were times I thought the sale might fall through due to disagreements on certain aspects but Tim mediated them brilliantly.

Although he must have been busy with the property market as it is currently he always had enough time for me. Having bought my house through Bushnell Porter six years ago, when he was instrumental in keeping everything ticking along smoothly, he has now worked his magic again now that I am the seller. He really understands the Portsmouth & Southsea market and has provided valuable advice from the very beginning. I foolishly was swayed by one of the big agents and their glossy brochures and unrealistic valuations. Big mistake! I should have stuck with my gut and gone with BP from the off. After meeting with Tim Kingsbury (director) in respect of a purchase we decided to give him an opportunity to market our property - our decision was totally validated in that the marketing documentation was far superior to anything that we had seen from other agents and we felt that here was someone that actually wanted to sell our property for us and not just as another item on their portfolio and immediately felt comfortable (laid back style but still giving a professional persona) a relationship that was maintained throughout . When deciding on instructing an Estate Agent I went on house viewings to see what the experience was like from the buyer’s perspective. I wanted to choose a salesperson, not an agency. I chose Bushnell Porter because the owner of the business, Tim Kingsbury, was doing the selling. My judgement was that he was an experienced salesman, superior to the less experienced negotiators dispatched from other agencies.
During my property valuations, other high street agents would over value my property to try achieve my business, but I noticed that the properties on Rightmove for these agents had been there for a long time. Internet based agents with cheap fees undervalued my house, they had no incentive to negotiate higher.
In the end I was delighted with Bushnell Porter’s service. Tim was always at the end of a phone to answer questions and I was confident to let him negotiate on my behalf. My house was sold for 13k more than I expected and 18k more than the value given by a certain internet based agent. I would therefore highly recommend Bushnell Porter Estate Agents.
