My washing machine started to make a noise and then stopped spinning. The machine was the property of the landlords so i emailed Andrea customer services and Nicki the property manager asking if theyd replace the machine for me and they did with no hassle. Communication was easy and i was so thankful with what could have been a stressful time turned out to be a breeze. Id recommended Chappells to anyone. After months of them now managing the property i live in i have no complaints theyre infact a pleasure to deal with.

Nicki and Andrea have helped us greatly. We have had issues in our rented accommodation and Nicki has been on the case constantly with contractors, our landlord and us to get them sorted in a timely manner. We have understood that sometimes it takes a while for things to be resolved due to other commitments for other clients but Nicki has kept us in the loop and given us updates at regular intervals. Our landlord is also someone who is lovely has never quibbled when we have had issues.

Unfortunately a very poor experience in terms of communication. I would definitely not recommend Chappells for that reason alone. Excellent customer service should be at heart of every business - sadly they have ignored my request to call me back. The owner I spoke to said he'd get back to me regarding an issue but has not bothered which is not very polite or professional. It's the insincerity that gets to me the most. I don't want anything from them now regarding the issue at hand, I'd rather just take my business elsewhere. Good luck to them.

Quite simply Chappells Estate Agents has my highest recommendation. They were the agents for the simultaneous sale of two of my properties. The sale was a stress free, uncomplicated, smooth process and I attribute that in large part to the attention to detail and diligence of Phil Reeve and Vincent Kelly at Chappells. They provided a professional service throughout the sale, were always on hand to answer any questions and went out of their way to ensure I was fully informed at every stage. Even once the sale was well underway they continued to do whatever they could to make sure the sale completed in a timely manner. They acted to actively chase up solicitors when needed and made sure all parties were doing what they needed to in order to gets the sales completed. I'd give more than a 5 star rating if this review system allowed me to and I make no apologies for writing what I hope will be read as a gushing review. It's true and honest reflection of experience and the service I received from Chapplells and I believe that excellent service ought to be acknowledged and recognised. We were advised against using Chappells because they ‘are small’ and the larger agents can sell properties quicker, however my husband and I didn’t like the hard sell we experienced with other agents and welcomed the friendly, more personal approach we’ve had from Chappells. From the first conversation I had with Phil I felt confident and reassured that they were the right agents for us. I’m also a firm believer in supporting smaller businesses. Vincent did a fantastic job of showing people round our home and came to know the property well. The communication we’ve had has always been excellent from Vincent and Phil. It did take a while to sell our house but we were in the middle of a pandemic and we got there in the end! If we decide to move again ( hopefully not!!) I wouldn’t hesitate to use Chappells again. The “Managing Director” Phil met us for the first viewing. After that, he was not interested. So much so that he did not take ID which for money laundering reasons is a legal requirement or in fact proof of funds which is pretty key when buying a property.
He blatantly lied to us by saying that the owner would be happy to break the chain which when we spoke direct with the owner was not the case. Because Phil was so unresponsive, we ended up speaking directly with the owner on most things which was just as well as otherwise the chain would have fallen.
We we’re extremely lucky that we had chosen Richard James Estate Agents in Wroughton for our own sale because if it hadn’t been for them, the sale would not have gone through at all. There was a chain of 10 and Richard James kept us constantly updated on the whole chain because they spoke to each and every agent or solicitor in the chain to know what stage things were at.
Chappells was the other end of the spectrum. They had not got a clue on their own sales (of which they had 2 in the chain) and never updated us as the buyers or in fact their own seller more importantly who we gave updates to.
I have to say that both Vincent and Andrea were a pleasure to deal but because it was Phil’s sale, it was hard for them to support.
I could not recommend Chappells under any circumstances.

Wish I could give negative stars. Long story short they were agents letting our property. No house house inspection in 2 years. Was given notice 2 weeks later after the tenant informed them, they said they sent me an email and it must have not sent.!!! Come on, a phone call would be more appropriate. A friend rang and asked to speak to Phil, he answered and pretended to be someone else working there. Truly unbelievable. We were constantly lied too. I have many scenarios but I'll leave you with one more. We were told à professional oven had been in, so I called Paula to confirm this and she said yes it had definitely been done. At this same time I was on the phone my dad was stood next to the oven! Guess what? It hadn't been done. Choose them at your own peril.
