I recently had the unfortunate dealings with connells plymstock we instructed connells to sell our late parents home
What a joke to start with over priced it then dropped it when we signed contract The communication was terrible never returned calls or Emails I was constantly chasing them for any information (i live in west midlands) and to top it off connells lost our parents house key but informed us 2 weeks later and blamed it on the girl who had left, very convenient. I could go on but I think you get the idea
I would give zero stars but you have to give one so the 0ne goes to Elannore for getting one of the sals team to get back to me after I phone and Email

The service I received from Connells was great from start to finish. I explained to Jas that I was nervous about if our property would sell in the market but she helped reassure us and made sure we were ok, every step of the way. Reuben conducted the open house on our property and was incredible at getting the house sold on the open day! They filled the open house and communicated before to check the viewings were still ok. Elena also helped greatly when helping with getting the property online and was so polite - a credit to connells. Highly recommend for a quick sale and polite, efficient and quality service.

I sold my property in Plympton in order to relocate to Plymstock. The service from Connels was exceptional, Reuben actively searched for a property for us, even dropping leaflets through houses on roads we liked, in order to find us our dream home. We were starting to panic that we would loose our buyer but Reuben found one that met all our needs and Jazz made sure it went through as smoothly and stress free as she could. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone buying or selling. We also got a better mortgage rate than our estate agent could offer.

We can’t rate their value for money because we were released from contract without them successfully selling our property - fortunately they’ve not had a penny from us. Their communication was so slow - we would often be waiting a week for a reply to an email before sending another one to chase it. They were full of false hope and promises they couldn’t fulfil. We would never recommend them as an agent and will refuse to consider buying any homes they are selling after our own experience of how we were treated as vendors.

If you want nobody to ever call you back, this is the estate agent for you! Do you also want people to be rude, abusive and threatening? Yes!!! You’ve found the perfect agent. Vile threatening people wanting only to give you a mortgage and make you lose your dream home after you’ve paid a few thousand pounds out on surveys etc. and they will keep trying to sell it to someone else. First time buyer that’s saved up for ages? Waste your money and offer through Connells plymstock. If you don’t do your mortgage through them, they will under cut you and sell it to someone who is using their advisor whilst you think it’s going through. Their vile, rude and agressuce behaviour is just waiting for your call. Think it’s just people buying? No !! It’s sellers aswell. All round worst agent in the county and I am a 25 year veteran estAte agent!

We were initially undecided about putting our home on the market so Elizabeth offered to call round to answer our questions. She was very knowledgeable about the local area and the market in general. Her valuation was higher than we had anticipated and she gave us lots of advice about the marketing process. We were delighted with the number of viewings and accepted an offer at the full asking price a week after putting the house on the market. We cannot praise Elizabeth enough, she kept us informed all the way through the process and the rest of the team; Will, Asha and Elena were all excellent. I would have no hesitation in using Connells in Plymstock again.

Connells Plymstock insist on you having a consultation with their mortgage broker despite having a MIP already prior to accepting an offer. They then say they'll encourage seller to go with you if you go with their mortgage broker. They also state that going with their solicitor will speed up process. In reality it speeds nothing up. Their solicitor is ridiculously slow. During my recent purchase the seller did most of the conveyancing for the solicitor and we both had to constantly chase. Only saving grace was one of their employees who did reply to emails and seemed to care. I bought wine for this member of staff as they really did seem to care. Others in branch were slow to respond and made frequent mistakes that slowed the sale further.
E.g. I passed my solicitors details to my initial contact at Connells but they passed on wrong details to sellers solicitors and it was only when I by chance connected with seller that we worked this out and sorted it out ourselves. This delayed things by nearly two weeks and wasted time with emails being sent to incorrect email address and possibly wouldn't have been discovered if seller and myself had not connected by chance.
On the day of move itself calamity connells passed me the keys at 1.30pm after completion but didn't check seller had left. So I ship up outside house that's completed with all my stuff but seller still there with alot of their stuff still there and their keys. Connelks hadn't checked.
The house was left with lots of plants and junk despite me asking connells if this would definitely be moved prior to completion along with minor work which Connells stated would be completed in kitchen.
Poor from outset. Wouldn't sell through them and wouldn't purchase through them either but in current market not alot available.
I never write reviews. But the stress the agent added was so unnecessary.

From the outset I found this branch very communicative, From the initial viewings to the offer process they were ace and very accommodating.. I want to thank Elizabeth in there so much as she made me feel at ease and during the process kept me update at all stages.. I also chose to obtain a mortgage through there advisor at the time Jeff.. who was fantastic from our initial chat to finding the right deal for my circumstances. Also which is rare any issues they highlighted to me straight away as the physical buying process wasn't great.. this was down to the solicitors recommended by there FTB Centre (as we sold a property though that branch and although the property sold very quickly i was dissatisfied with the way we were handled.. and speaking to the buyer of the property we sold to.. this was the same story for them).. But i can say that the Plymstock Branch did intervene and assist where they could to push this process forward.. I would have no hesitation in using the Plymstock branch again and would happily recommend them.

What a great Estate agency if i could give more then five ***** then I would!!! The staff were great, my appointed sales lady was Daania and in my opinion she has done a fantastic job for me!! I had a few problems in the chain below and Daania gave a 110% and helped me all the way through, even in her own time and made my sale as Smooth as possible I highly recommend Connells Estate Agents.

We decided to use Connells to sell our house as they had some very good reviews. So we requested a valuation through their website last Sunday evening and were seen within 48hours. The house didn't even go online before we had a viewing the next day and we had accepted an offer by the following day, which was above asking price!!!
We have dealt with Matthew (mostly) who has been extremely efficient and quick to respond with any queries, and couldn't have done more to help us.
Friendly team and excellent service all round.
An all round smooth and quick process for us and we have managed to secure the home we wanted too!!

I'm thrilled to have just completed on a property purchase now the removal vans have finally left, now time to get unpacking! Matthew Sumner, of 'Connells Plymstock' first showed me around the property in December and was very supportive throughout the offer stage. Personally, I have been fortunate over the last 7-years to purchase properties in the Plymstock area and whilst I've in the main enjoyed good customer service I can honestly say that Matthew's commitment, communication, follow up and genuine interest has been excellent and well above the norm. I want to relay just how impressed with one of your agents from her work and efforts recently.
We had been searching a considerable amount of time and began to despair we would not find a property.
From the onset Gabi sold us on Plymstock as an area, she was warm, knowledgeable and very reassuring. Her patience and the way she listened to our needs was great, nothing seemed to much trouble to her. This was a sharp contrast to other agents we had met.
Knowing we had a short time frame, she got us in to see every property we wanted and a few more.. In every property Gabi was full of suggestions to make them our prefect home.
Without her we would still be looking for our dream home!!

We've used connells in harrow, Bedford and Plymouth and just not had any luck with them. The staff turnover seems unusually high which makes communication difficult at times.

Fantastic service provided by every member of the Plymstock team (and I believe we spoke to every member at some point!) as soon as we instructed Connells to sell our property, they were on the phone to prospective buyers. Really poor service, emailed about a property i was interested in for some more details.. no reply, as they are only down the road from where i live, i popped in to the Plymstock branch to find out some more information, the guy i spoke to apparently, couldn't help me with anything, so took my name and number and said someone would cal me back, which ofcourse, they never did, simply atrocious customer service.
