Trust pilot reviews says it all I’m afraid. Wish I had checked beforehand. We cancelled our remortgage process after being told our home was £30k less than (confidentially) advised. I am aware this happens, but I don’t know why it was valued so high. I feel like that was to get us on board. On top of that, you have to constantly chase for updates otherwise you won’t hear anything. £600+ lost, but could have been worse.... Read more

Very disappointed with our remortgage process with Connells Wednesbury. We used Connells to get our first mortgage around 2 years ago and the lady Sarah was amazing from start to finish, the process was a breeze. She has since left the branch. We had a representative from Connells come out to give us a valuation for a remortgage. When she gave us the figure (based on other sold properties in the area) we were under the impression is was assured we'd get remortgaged at that value or extremely close. We wanted to proceed and from there it went downhill. We had to constantly chase the person at the branch for updates on lenders. The person we were dealing with from the lender we made many mistakes in documents, which we had to correct him on numerous times. The surveyor that came out (very negative attitude and quite poor customer service skills) was surprised at the valuation given to us, and ultimately valued our house £30k lower than that suggested by Connells. Ultimately we decided not to proceed and feel like we were misled by Connells when given the valuation at the start. Wasted money, time and constantly chasing for updates was a stressful process. Definitely not using this branch again in future.... Read more
