Recently transferred my let property to Connells Great Barr lettings and haven't looked back! Cally in lettings has ensured the transition of the fully managed property has been smooth and efficent, from chasing and securing deposits, to ensuring all relevant documents from the previous agent had been obtained and ensuring the tenant has been kept up to date with the transition and rent being paid on time.
I couldn't recommend these lot any more highly if you want to let your property out without any stress or hiccups!!

Worst estate agents ever lack of communication false promises lack of trust and even ignoring my phone calls and never returning calls when thay could be bothered to answer. complete joke had 5 phone calls off these cowboys in 7months so unprofessional reaily dnt know how thay still operate as a business. And even valuing a property then saying it's not worth what they valued it at. Not even worth one star cowboys yeeeh haaa ???? ????

We’ve had a great experience renting with Connells so far. Ajay has been excellent - super helpful, understanding and responsive. We moved in just over a week after we viewed the property (which was an hour after we enquired about it!) so the whole process has been very quick and smooth, and Ajay has put up with all my questions over text and call. Over the moon with the service Tam and her team provided to help me find a tenant for my Lichfield property. I had another agency who wanted to do a home visit to try to up sell their services to me which meant delaying placing my property on right move. On speaking to Tam she appreciated I was an experienced land lady and understood what I wanted. She tailored their services to meet my needs and I have found the perfect tenants. Cant fault the sales team, keep you up to date on viewings offers etc, after property sold I then heard nothing from them unless I rang for update, was advised misinformation and when I challenged it was told I was "confused". Wasnt impressed with connells for their after sales.
Dont use the solicitors they recommend either they dont send out documents and when they do it states wrong names etc, then say they havent received documents resulting into having to pay extra for special delivery so its guaranteed. Not just me read reviews on their community page on fb, lots of other people saying same thing.

This estate agent has a very strange way of working, viewed a house 2 weeks ago put in offer, was told I needed to speak with their mortgage advisor, explained I already had a mortgage lined up but still had to talk to them otherwise my offer wouldn't be taken any further, vendor carried on having viewings despite knowing my offer, had to keep chasing estate agent to find out what was happening, finally 2 weeks later I ring estate agents to see if my offer was accepted to be told vendor accepted an higher offer, so basically the vendor and the estate agent wasted 2 weeks of my time, so any houses being advertised by connells I will definitely NOT be booking a viewing. Time wasters, AVOID AVOID. Not happy. Staff are also very rude at the Great Barr branch, proper attitudes, need to go a customer service course on how to treat your customers. If I could put 0 stars I would , you don't even deserve the 1 star

Absolute trash and dishonest. Last year we placed an offer for a house. We offered the asking price and was told that hey had an offer which was significantly more.
I just checked to see what the house went for and it sold for £10,000 less than what we offered. Something not right there

Bit of a worrying one.
Queried with the branch to view a property. Apparently they give preference to those on their own home buyer scheme and so I booked an appointment to apply to this scheme. I arrived at the branch, there wasn’t any booked appointment as they weren’t expecting me even though I was asked to attend at a certain time.
Anyhow, they were asking things like what’s my max mortgage/ deposit etc. which is ridiculous. I asked why I should disclose what my true max budget is, it’s not in my interest to disclose that, i don’t want them to know my max or else they will just ghost offer me.
So really it’s dodgy practice, they know the law about arranging viewings and what details they can and can’t ask and get away with.

Terrible customer service! Staff are rude and unhelpful, they act as though they are doing you favour by speaking to you!! It’s amazing that they are able to sell anything with the attitudes the staff have.
Inconsistent advice given depending on who you speak to there- one star is generous!!

Purchased our house through Connells. Jess who showed the house was initially unprofessional and unapproachable. Was told 'it'll have to be next week now' every time I tried to organise a second viewing. In the end, we put a note through the sellers door and communicated directly with them instead. She only became helpful at the very end of the purchase process when we had trouble with solicitors in the chain. Overall not a great experience with this company.

I am very disappointed with this company, they are very unhelpful and unorganized. 3 months ago, my kitchen flooded, since then they can't organize themself, send a plumber and maintenence.
When we contact the Connels, they are still sorry, they cant do anything, and the agent are responsible for a holiday or lunch.
3 months we live in another rented room, Im pregnant and i would like to come back with my husband and a 3-year-old daughter to the home where all our things are. :(

Be warned- DO NOT SELL your property with these cowboys- staff buy them for below market value and pressure sellers to take offers from themselves or from preferred buyers! How many times has this been done in the past- fleecing vulnerable people! Disgraceful!

I have contacted watchdog and the property ombudsmen. How can this be allowed to happen!?! Criminal behavior!

2 stars because Sam from repairs is lovely bless her (id give her 5 stars but this is for the whole of Connells so only did 2 stars) house is ok , landlord is below par.. when renting I was under the impression that I would not deal with the land lord at all and all repairs go though Connells but that's not the case .. the land lord sends who he likes and half the time they are not qualified :/ we got told we can rent for as long as we like but we are being evicted after 1 year even though every thing is paid for on time and we are good tenants. wouldn't rent from them again the fees are high and I expected more for my money

I contacted Connells in Great Barr after my daughter referred them to me, having used them earlier this year. The receptionist was friendly and referred me to their Valuer, Davi Sangha. I found Davi to be very experienced in the field, as he told me that he had been marketing properties in Great Barr for many years. I was impressed with the way my property was advertised online by him and even more happier that it eventually sold over the market price. I am due to complete on the transaction by the end of June and I do feel that the speed of the process has been due to how Davi marketed the property and proactively dealt with the potential interest. I would be happy to use Connells again and have reccommended them to other members of my family. Keep up the good work guys (special thanks to Davi!).

I was recommended to Davi at Connells through a friend who had marketed her property through him a few months ago. I found Davi to be very responsive and enthusiastic about putting my property on the market. He was realistic about the pricing and the likely time frame for a sale. Most of all I found him to be approachable and honest unlike other valuers/agents in the industry. My property was sold for over the asking price in the end and I'm grateful to Connells (Davi in particular) for making that happen.

I rented a flat from these people and was charged £440 in fees before I moved in and to my horror it was a disgusting filthy mess. It took me 2 days to clean it properly and it had to be thoroughly decorated throughout. The previous tenant also left a load of garbage behind which I had to pay the council £69 to come and remove because it was too big to put in the normal bin (old pots and pans and large pieces of wood) etc.
To add insult to injury it wasn't long before I discovered I had a skanky drug dealer living below me so you can imagine the riff raff and scum bags coming in and out all hours of the day and night and they used to piss in plastic bottles and put them in my bin dirty bastards. It also took about 3 months for them to pay my deposit back and I had to raise a dispute with TDS in the end to get it back because every time I contacted them about it I would get fobbed off time and time again with tha same old story, so my recommendation is that I would never rent a property with these people ever again.

Contacted Connells as recommended by a friend who recently sold thier house. Was promptly greeted by Davi... was very enthusiastic and passionate to get my house on the market and sold, gave me the confidence to go through Connells rather than the other non responsive estate agents I called. Davi got the property marketed in no time, was impressed how he captured every detail of the property... makes the difference! As a result, the property was sold in no time above (over 5k) what I was originally expecting.
Strongly recommend Connells, Davi goes that extra mile!

You would think that they would know how to treat customers??? But no davey the lister bullied me into putting my house on the market telling me I had several buyers???
3 months later no one even bothered to call me regarding viewings were are these buyers?? That I was promised?? As soon as I signed my contract I heard nothing from them!!! It's not the first time they have done this, my cousin was treated the same way!!! Jess who works there shocking tried to ask her what is going on and nothing no call backs I am always calling them!!!! Branch manager not even bothered with my concerns PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE, ITS ALL LIES!!!!

We have been trying to arrange viewings for properties that we were really interested showing on Connells website as for sale.
We called on tuesday to arrange a viewing and were promised someone would come back to us. After not hearing anything for two days we called again to be told that messages to arrange viewings were left with vendors however no arrangements were made so far. Called again on Thursday to chase up viewing just to hear the vendors are not answering the phone
Funnily enough both properties are still showing on their website as for sale and it makes me wonder why they are blocking potential buyers from viewing and playing games that I don’t really understand.
