So firstly,one of the staff had laughed saying it would be a miracle if i passed referencing. I explained my situation with having 2 step children who live with me part time aswell as my own child,which i was told was okay,as was asking for stuff to be removed from the property. When discussing with the landlord,he had been told i wanted everything and that i was a complete liar! Diagusting behaviour,it has led to the landlord pulling out and us now having nowhere to live. Im now worried im not going to get my holding deposit or zero deposit back.

I worked with Tam initially last year when we were going through a tenant eviction. Her knowledge of the process was excellent. This year she worked hard to let the property, which was done efficiently and seamlessly. She was a great help with contacts to get the property into a sufficient state and also compliance with regulations. We do not live locally and she made the whole process so easy and straight forward, which is massively appreciated. Bethany also assisted on some items and was also incredible efficient. It was a pleasure to work with them and I can't recommend the team highly enough.

I wish it was possible to give zero star to connell. Rented out my property thru them. Paid for full management. Connells rented the property to a tenant who i was not very comfortable with. Connells didnt conduct their “regular visits” , i had to call connells for 2 months to request a visit which finally happened. Connells sent an inexperienced person who didnt pick up anything, on my request they sent someone else only to find out that tenant was subletting my property and had damaged my property. Tenant picked by connell, damaged my property, when I complained to connells they said “sorry” and didnt take any responsibility for their wrong doing. They said the contract was between me and the tenant and connells had nothing to do with it. Connell deliberately look for a tenant who will stay not kore than 11 months , so they can get a new tenant every year and keep charging contract fees and so on .. basically they charge enough to cover the rent for first month . This is their business strategy to make profits for their branch and show they are working. Rental team never answers the phone , they do when they are desperately trying to get your business. Dont fall for the trap and all of the promises. Taking them to ombudsman now because they are absolutely terrible at their jobs and absolutely useless. Stay away from connells . They are pure bad news. I do not know how a bad company like this can even survive, their rental team in Dudley is absolutely shambles. People leave that place in few months and run away. Since i have been with them their staff changes every few weeks. Management is a nightmare. They have got “floats” they will keep your money and will never pay full rent to you, beware of them. Absolute mess and they will never do what they say. Very unprofessional.

Recently viewed a property and was happy with it. Put down a holding fee, filled out the forms to check my earnings and heard nothing for nearly two days. Contacted Tam via email this morning and was told my earnings were not enough, asked for clarification (I work 2 seperate jobs, which i said multiple times and no one said that that may cause issues). The system clearly did not account for my second job, Tam confirmed the only earnings accounted for were from my fortnightly paid job in an email.
However when I called, she tried to say that both my jobs were now accounted for, which they blatantly weren't going off the figure she gave me, and it turned out, she had already agreed to let the property to someone else, despite the fact that I paid to hold the property, which clearly did not happen and I was offered no solution or refund for her lack of communication

Not knowing buying first property we were sold a lease hold and told freehold. Connells took £1000 cash deposit after closing time and were hesitant giving receipt so adjusted selling price. How stupid were we handing cash over and dealing with this branch. Please be careful and know what you're doing!!

Tam Is a very talented and driven professional who strives for perfection to meet the needs of her clients. Tam advertised my properties and found suitable candidates very quickly. I had a arrangement with the previous manager and Tam honoured the same terms and conditions which demonstrated a high amount of integrity and focus on growing long term relationships.
When I have any discrepancies that require a prompt resolution, Tam always provides the best guidance and assists where possible to obtain a successful outcome. Tam is always happy to assist, provides rental estimates that are in line with market rates before closing the deal within days.

Connells Dudley misrepresented a property, breached the contract, and demonstrated a disregard for health and safety hazards. Despite outlining these concerns in an email, I was directed to contact the branch and speak to Tehmina Kossir, the letting manager. However, my interaction with her was extremely unpleasant. Tehmina Kossir displayed dismissiveness and made inadequate attempts at resolution. She disregarded my concerns, citing her supposed 22 years of experience as justification, which does not excuse their wrongdoing. Her unprofessional behavior included callously remarking that they had already been paid and shifting responsibility onto the landlord. Furthermore, she threatened that the landlord could issue a CCJ (County Court Judgment) against me if I took further action. It is unacceptable that they misrepresented the property and failed to disclose ongoing construction work. This branch seems to prioritise profit over client satisfaction. When I mentioned seeking legal advice, Tehmina Kossir simply responded with indifference, suggesting I cannot take them to court. I strongly advise against dealing with Connells Dudley to avoid unnecessary stress and frustration. Additionally, despite noticing health and safety concerns during my visit to the property, Tehmina Kossir showed no concern, further exacerbating the situation.

We worked with Tam from the letting agency and I was very impressed with the service she provided. Just 30 minutes after I got in touch with her, she put our property online for letting and had someone interested in viewing it on the same day. She found us a tenant within two days, has constantly been updating on what’s happening and even went out of her way to do some extra things for us. She provided us with an excellent service second to none, we will definitely be using this letting agency in the future.

I relocated from Orpington to Birmingham and was lucky to have Connells Dudley branch as my Estate agents. They gave me a gift box with my first home, When my six months tenancy agreement ended, they helped me get another house. I also got my deposit back in full as well. The staff are very professional. I reached out to arrange a viewing for a property listed as 'Company Let,' with the description stating 'FULLY REFURBISHED THREE BED COMPANY LET WELCOME AVAILABLE NOW.' I was met with a blunt 'we are not interested.' With no explanation. Stop wasting people's time. Much better Agents out there, look elsewhere.

We have been renting from Connells Dudley for 3 years. We found out 3 months ago that the information they provided regarding where our gas and electric metre were incorrect. What they had written in the inventory was incorrect and again what they verbally informed us at the start of the tenancy was incorrect. We have been told by shell that we’ve been overpaying drastically (owed 1000s) and need the closing reading before we moved in 3 years ago (that the agency/ landlord should take before tenants move in) to calculate exactly how much to refund us.
I’ve been chasing Connells for the last 3 months and no one has gotten back to me despite promises that they’ll get back to me immediately as this is a serious issue. It’s extremely frustrating that this is an error on their side and despite emails and phone calls we have heard nothing. We know the landlord in the past have also had issues with them in regards to communication when we had contact with him over another matter. We’re seriously considering moving apartments (as we’ve had other issues with them due to poor communication in this property as well- relating to fire and safety) and will never go back to renting a property of Connells Dudley.

Sellers need to understand, the market has changed and prices are not where they were. People are poorer than they were and interest rates keep going up meaning people's buying power is going down. Is a recession on its way? The media seems to think so.

What can I say about this team? The stress of going through renting these days are enormous but Holly and her team made it look like a walk in the park. I had a tight deadline and turnaround in a week but Holly made it look like it was no problem at all right from the very first day I spoke to her, to viewing and letting! It is the first time I have let a property. I contácted several local letting agents. Connells and particularly Holly. She was prompt in her response and attended my property within 24 hours. She gave a full and comprehensive appraisal and after the first meeting I was fully briefed. Once the flat was ready to let they were extremely quick in getting adverts and photos published. 5 days from advert to rental agreement. Throughout the whole process I was made to feel I was the only customer they were dealing with and when Holly went on leave she handed over to Lauren. Holly was very helpful and quick at responding to my email. The whole process of renting the property was really quick and seamless as most of the documents were completed online. I did not have to worry about having to make phone calls during work (which is quite difficult for me). I have never had such a great experience with any other agents. Listed a property with them Aug 2020, didn't use them as the person they suggested as a Tennant was completely unsuitable (both financially and in behaviour). 9 months later I am still getting emails about me owing them £90, despite having proved on a number of occasions that it was paid immediately at the time. All they can say is they are a new team. No excuse whatsoever for poor record keeping.

I arranged to rent a flat which the tenancy would start on 3rd of October. I was told that the tenant will leave the property on 30th of September. I called them on the 2nd of October in order to arrange a time to hand me the keys for the moving. They then informed me that the current tenant still hasn't given back the keys and refuses to leave. I asked what should I do since I had arranged to leave the property I currently live in order to move to the new property. Simply their response was that was my problem and they can't do anything. I asked why wasn't I informed for that earlier the tenant should have left the property at least 3 days ago and they said that they didn't know... I asked for my deposit back, as I wanted to find a different flat since there is no guarantee that the tenant will leave and they refused... Verdict: they postponed my moving in day, they cost me £40 per day (£600 so far) as I have to rent a hotel room to stay and refused my deposit back... Never again with Connells...

Worst letting agent experience ever. Saw some really good reviews here about them and thought they would be a good letting agent to be with but this was not the case.
Agreed to have blinds installed before moving in end of July and was told before going to sign the contract that they had been installed. Went to sign contract at a previously arranged time and was told that the contract was not ready until several hours later and that the blinds had not been fitted yet. 2 weeks down the line blinds still not installed.
The initial contract drawn up had the wrong name on it and they wanted me to sign it and would put out an amended version later. Tried to push for me to sign it or there might be further delays. Opted to wait for the amended version before signing anything.
Very difficult to get hold of despite sending multiple emails and calls as for some reason this particular property’s electrical meter is locked up and only they could show you the reading which you have to make an appointment to do so which I did but person did not turn up. No one called to inform me what was going on and I had to call the office and find out what was going on and had to be rescheduled to another time.
Now 2 months down the line I receive an electrical bill which was from the previous tenant. Sent it to Joe and his reply: was this dated correctly and then oh we don’t sort this out.

Called to enquire about a property and was told the property has a "sitting tenant" when I asked more questions, the response was short and with frustration. I was told its up to me if I want to risk buying the property and will only get the information once I was purchasing it! turns out tenants have a contract until December so they are not sitting tenants but this is connells terminology! Asked about the lease amount and again was given a very snappy answer. In a world where estate agents are beginning to compete with online cheaper service, customer service is key. Disappointed with connells and will never be selling or purchasing a property from them.

This agency will swop you energy suppliers as they get paid by spark energy to perform energy switches. They will also notify the council you have left the property all in attempts to get you to leave the property quicker and cheaper than going through the correct legal processes.
This agency will take 1000s off you to rent a property to you long term. Then advise the landlord that if he evicts you then they can gain more rent than they are allowed to increase by.

At any stage we were rushed into anything. We bough the right house at the right time.
During the all process we count with Robert expertise.
Communication was excellent, on going and clear at all times.
His advise was outstanding in all aspects of our purchase. From good to bad areas, best rate mortgages, all paperwork, Help to buy scheme and the list goes on and on.
We only have good things to say about Robert and would surelly advise anyone looking for a house to go and have a chat with him.

Extremely unprofessional .. Wouldn't do a proper due diligence . I lost 2 properties rentals. One for over one year due to a bad tenant. I had to attend eviction and court procedures. The other property , they can't find the tenant after handing over and I am yet to claim the property back following the same procedure. Might take Another 6 months to claim my property.no professionalism or ethical handling of clients. Hidden management fees and tax return fees even if you don't request.They wouldn't reply emails as well. I would never recommend Connells.
