I Recently moved to Birmingham my first experience renting was with Dixons estate agency and it was great. I was a bit nervous because it was my first time renting, Chloe and Tayla made the process very easy and smooth, they’re very kind and took the time to explain things to me that made me feel very comfortable. I don’t know where to start. Avoid like fire unless you want everything to go slow and wrong…
1. Property not ready to move in and the agency informed us 1 hour before picking up the key that they failed to do the floors so the contract is void and “it’s not their problem”
2. Agency set up the bill under our name “automatically” without our agreement. They claim is in the contract- illegal to do so
3. Meter readings not taken - “they don’t do it” really !?!?
4. No replies to emails or calls hones for days.
5. Amber misadvising and misleading clients- all messages regarding tenant content insurance were suggesting that we must take it - not true
6. Landlord shocked to find out that the property was not even cleaned before us moving in!!!
7. Lies and complete lack of knowledge about the rules and laws. Rude, rude and rude again …
Dixon Moseley is the worst agency I have ever dealt with. Above (and more) already reported to the complain teams, and going further to Legal Ombudsman. Avoid at all costs.

Never answer and lie about viewing times, not committed to helping people and every time you call you will get voicemail and the voicemail.is not returned happened to me on 3 occasions. When I told staff once I got through she seemed as though she was in school and had no response. Why would you want to sell/buy/rent with people who cannot even be bothered to come to the phone. Avoid.

The landlord Dr. Cheng of B5 Berrington Place asked me to share his review here.
There has been an argument between him and the tenant concerning the deduction of deposit and subsequent work to return the apartment to its before rental status. The tenancy ended in early Nov. The deposit team was slow in response, maybe due to the limited availability of contractors during that period of time.
Ana was made to look after his case in December. She was responsive and helped following up. Dr Cheng had to find contractors to complete the house job. Yet I think that's because his tenancy ended in the "unfortunate time" during Christmas. Anyway, he found Ana had been working closely and promptly with him, and his tenant to sort out the deposit deduction. The deposit deducted went to his account without delay. He wanted to take this opportunity to thank Ana and the accounting team and wish them all the best in this new year!

Recently went through iamsold modern method auction with Dixons.
The seller can pull out despite your winning bid, up until completion date and there is no legal recourse as you would have with a traditional auction.
This has left me several thousand pounds out of pocket in solicitor fees and mortgage arrangement fees.
No response from Dixons or the iam sold auction people. AVOID.

I entered the office in Moseley, briefly explained was I was after and Kitti was able to help me immediately, providing information on a lovely flat, arranged a viewing that same day and was even able to bring my viewing forward to save my time! The proceedings were very quick (due to urgency on my end) and Kitti was very pleasant and efficient, enabling me to give my application then and there and it was all done and accepted in a matter of days! Worst Dixons experience ever the estate agent was extremely rude, I had my family members property advertised with them and decided to take it off. When that happened they started getting rude and threatening as I said I will try sell it separately as it had been on advertise for a long time, then they started looking for ways to charge additional fees. I will never use these pathetic, desperate, untrained thieves again.

Hard to know where to start so I’ll try and be concise. We used Dixon’s to sell my wife’s flat. They were very difficult to get hold of, never answered the phone, unprofessional in their email communications, and showed a general disinterest when issues arose on the sale. Ended up communicating with our buyer directly and our seller’s estate agent for updates rather than our own. Would not recommend.

I was interested in a property for rent, I phoned for a whole week without the phone being picked up on the lettings side left message on answerphone, the sales side picked up, so I left a message for lettings to contact me on several occasions, this did not happen, I really do not know how Dixons have so many positive feedback. So today I sent my friend to Dixons and they told him the house I was interested in has been let, and the phone is right there, what a cheek, would have been nice to have been contacted. I am really disappointed in the lack of response from Dixons, I have a house to put on sale in Moseley, will be using an alternative estate agent.

Took almost a month / a full 20 working days to get my tenancy deposit back from Dixons, despite my Landlord agreeing it's release straight away and despite Dixon's contract saying they'll return it within 10 working days. Chloe just ignored all of my emails. When I asked for the complaints procedure that was ignored too, but I did suddenly get my deposit back. No explanation for the delay. If you're looking to rent a property through Dixon's I'd look elsewhere, unless you're happy to be completely ignored. It's a lot of money to withhold for no reason / with no explanation. A poor service for tenants.

We used Dixon's to both sell and purchase a new property and had an incredible experience on both occasions. Abi's a lovely branch manager. She tried so hard to get everything done, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown. The whole process was made very easy, beginning with Peter's first visit, valuation, and initial marketing of the property. He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area and offered plenty of advice and support. We were fortunate enough to receive a really good offer and sold the property within the first week.
The various phases that go into buying and selling a home were explained thoroughly by Sam - the financial advisor at Dixons. It was simply a pleasure to meet and deal with him. He literally went above and beyond his way to get us an incredible mortgage deal plus he was literally a call away to help us with any queries that we had. Throughout the whole process, Molly truly helped push the sale forward, especially when the solicitors were non-responsive. She was simply a joy to speak to and did everything she could, especially during a setback. Both the sale and purchase were successful and we're now living in a beautiful family home.

I had a viewing booked at 5PM for a property to rent they advertised on Rightmove as fully furnished at £ 725 pcm. At 4:53PM I was already on my way to view the flat, when I got a call from them saying that the price changed because I've asked for the property to be furnished and the new price was £ 800 pcm. Although I told them the property was already advertised as furnished, they even refused to meet me halfway at £ 750 pcm. Unfair trading, utter waste of time, I don't recommend.

Abi is a perfect branch manager and runs the great service with the very helpful Molly and extremely helpful Sam - the mortgage advisor. The process was a lot quicker than I was told by others - it ended up being 2.5 months to get keys rom first viewing. Well where do I start, definitely with two word'Top Notch'.
Abi, Pete,Ali and my absolute favourite Molly worked so hard to secure our happy ever after home that words are sometimes difficult to express.
From myself and my husband deciding to put our home on the market, truthful words were spoken to inform us of what to expect, cost, timescale of the lengthy process,expectations from e.g solicitors and so forth. Been kept updated with each process was very helpful. Whether you had the smallest question and needed to telephone the Moseley office, never feel that if you don't get through straight away and you hear the office recording, don't worry as in our case, Molly 10/10 times returns your call within minutes. Molly even came into work when she was on 'holiday/leave, as our sale was so close to completion.

We used Dixon’s to sell our parents house after they passed away. To begin with they said they could achieve a price far in excess of their competitors valuations - I was sceptical but we liked Abigail’s ideas on marketing so we decided to give them our business. In fact they did achieve the asking price and offers above were also received. We were offered an additional marketing package with professional photos - this was definitely worth paying for as the photos were excellent and showed the property off to its full advantage. Dixon’s marketed, conducted viewings and vetted the applicants, providing a spreadsheet of all offers with details of the funding. This allowed us to make an informed choice as to which offer to accept. The house was empty and unoccupied for 10 months as we were unable to exchange contracts until we obtained probate. Abigail and her team went over and above by regularly collecting mail and checking on security. Pete even visited to take final meter readings on the day of completion. All of this was over and above and helped us enormously since the property was not local to any of us.

I recently purchased my first property through Dixon's at Moseley, which was a bit daunting, and after multiple viewings all over I met Peter who I had met for one of my first. He was honest and helpful, and I finally settled on a place that suited.

An offer was received and accepted within two weeks, leaving to an initial feeling that they had earned their fee easily. It was what followed that proved to be invaluable. I was purchasing a property through Dixon's, and I have to stay from start to finish we had a great experience. First up, Peter was down to earth and honest at the viewing and was really helpful giving us an insight into the property. He assisted us in making the offer and was reasonable with all our requests. We then got passed over to Molly who was an absolute joy to deal with. In what is naturally a stressful process, Molly kept us updated and was helpful throughout. She was a friendly face and really understood all the frustrations you can go through with a house purchase. When Molly wasn't available, Abi was always happy to pick up the pieces and provide updates in the same helpful and friendly manner. I can only speak from a purchase perspective, but I have no doubt they would be equally as helpful with all aspects whether you're selling or renting. Peter and Molly are just amazing! I have dealt with an ungodly amount of estate agents, and although my purchase fell through because of problems with the property, I can't praise them enough of how helpful, attentive and pro-active these two incredible estate agents are! Birmingham is terrible, no one really calls you back or replies to your emails, and usually they try to hide things or persuade you to make bad decisions. I consider myself very lucky to have actually experienced how a real estate agent should be! If I ever have to sell, I will definetely seek for their help! They are the only agents I would recommend to family and friends. I wouldn't be surprised to see soon Peter and Molly running Dixons itself, they definetely deserve it! Thank you for everything!

Words can not describe how much i appreciate all the help we received from Dixons, from viewing the property with Peter,
help from Samar you cant believe the amount of times we contacted him and hes always been a great help, always helpful in every step of the process and not forgetting the lovely Molly so friendly and helpful.

Friendly, courteous team. Abi and Peter were efficient with viewings and Peter helped us negotiate a mutually agreeable price with the vendors. The whole purchase took longer than expected but would have taken longer still if it weren't for Molly, the sales progressor. With a combination of courtesy, attention to detail and sheer determination she managed to get the process back on track. She consistently went well over and above expectation to call all parties in the chain (solicitors, vendors, estate agents), gather relevant information and smooth the path that eventually led us to our new front door! We are very happily settled in our new home and grateful to the team at Dixons but especially to Molly for getting us there.
4 stars not 5 only because they are obliged to recommend conveyancing solicitors firm who caused a lot of avoidable delay. Absolutely no complaints for the Dixons Moseley team themselves.

I was in the process of buying a property from here, but unfortunately unforseen problems were picked up on the survey. However Dixons were helpful and communicative throughout the process. Molly dealt with my case the most and she was very patient with me and easy to talk to.
Samar, the mortgage advisor/broker at Dixon's was also very helpful. I found another property, and Samar continued to deliver the same friendly and reliable service despite the fact I had already paid for him and the property was with a different estate agent. He was never pushy for me to buy a property with Dixon's and willing to help me regardless of what property I chose. All the way through the process he was excellent. I now have an exchange date on the property and am very exited about moving.
I found Dixons as a whole very friendly and clear and straight forward at communicating information. They also work very efficiently and are always willing to go the extra mile to help a client.

When myself and my wife came to Dixons in Mosely last year we were totaly lost and didnt know where to or how to even get on the property ladder and were scared at the same time as we didnt know what to expect.
This is where we sat down and met with Samar Zaman from Countrywide at this branch.Words can not describe how plesent and proffesional Samar actually is.He guided us every step of the way and was on hand at every moment we needed him,he explained things to us when we did not understand he took control of things and we felt like he was with us all the way without fail.
We now own a beautiful house because of this man and your company and thank you from my heart for everything Samar/Countrywide and Dixons have done for us ensuring everything went smoothly as possible even in times of mega stress.

The worst experience ever. I contacted Dixons agency at the beginning of February as I was interested in a property to rent in Birmingham city centre. The agent booked and re-booked an appointment four times. For four times then, I was told that unfortunately the appointment had to be cancelled. I have been waiting for 2 months to view that property and after 2 months today I was told by the agent that unfortunately the apartment has been rented by someone else. That's ridiculous and disgusting. Absolutely no recommended.

I have excellent feedback for Samar Zaman (countrywide mortgages). He’s very polite, explains everything beforehand. Ensures that you have understood the process and listens to what the client wants. For me Samar went that extra mile and liased with estate agents, updated me regularly, called me back at the earliest opportunity if he was with clients and his service to me has been fantastic. Samar really understands the client and recommends the products that are best suited for his clients. Thank you Samar for all your help. Went into Moseley Dixons Estate Agents to collect some information about properties for sale in the area. Andrew the branch manager was very helpful and polite in advising me of properties to my specification and budget that were available in the surrounding area. I am still looking at properties but from an initial query point of view, Dixons were a fantastic starting point and would reccomend their staff.

Subia Iqbal is a joke. We all know they put the worst agents onto lettings but losing my details, cancelling viewings on the day, organising viewings, telling me they are cancelled then telling me the place is gone because actually there was a viewing the day I was meant to have mine is beyond the pale.
DO NOT use this lettings agent. Fees are disgusting but people will always pay them just to live in Moseley when people like Subia have done absolutely nothing to deserve them but print off a few pieces of paper.
Properties are usually on Gumtree as well, go straight through the landlord and avoid these losers.
