Huge thank you to Harry at Dixons who helped us massively today when our front door broke and the children and I were locked in.
The issue was solved in a matter of hours thanks to his involvement. He didn't just report and run, he kept in constant contact with both us and the locksmith and was understanding and most importantly kind.
We rarely have to call Dixons but it's great to know that level of support is there should you need them. He changed our day ????

Whilst I haven't secured and purchased a property yet, I am very satisfied with the level of service that I have received thus far. Particularly from Miza - the agent who has been my main point of contact. She is bright, cheerful and positive in her approach. Miza took time to discuss what I have in mind and really listened. As I was travelling from afar she made the effort to set up 4 viewings in an afternoon - which was just ideal.
There's doing your job and doing your job well. Miza most definitely falls into the latter category.

Extremely disappointed with the service I received at Dixons Bearwood. I viewed a property and placed an offer (on the day I viewed it) and never heard back. I called back and increased my offer a few days later, once again, no offer rejection or any communication. I then emailed and asked what the update was. A few days later I see the house has been sold.
Not sure why I was completely ignored. Extremely poor service and interaction from this agent. I would strongly discourage anyone from wasting their time here.
I’m still at a loss why I was ignored, as I am usually very on the pulse and make offers quickly - and make it clear how much I want a property from the onset. I was willing to offer more for the house if only they’d simply communicate.

I viewed a property with Dixons Bearwood and lady who showed us I believe was called cheri/sheri ( dark long hair & short) told my dad on the viewing that if she paid him a fee she would help him secure the property. This isn’t professional and I would never expect an agent to ask for money. My father is old and I assume she asked him thinking he would agree.

The leasing process was streamlined and efficient. Layah Maynard managed everything with utmost professionalism, and opting for the "Zero Deposit" scheme made the process more cost-effective.
Currently, I've only rented a house, but next year, I plan to purchase one. When that time comes, I will certainly contact this agency again to handle the technical and administrative aspects.

You may have to chase them excessively. The professionalism is non existent. In the end they sold the house, which is what mattered the most. They didn't even seem to know the process of exchanging contracts.

Absolutely wonderful customer service and if I ever have to rent another property it will only be through Dixons. We've recently decided to move and Dixons were more than helpful with the process. Considering that where we live currently is a property let by Dixons Yardley, they worked hand in hand with Dixons Bearwood to find a suitable home, based on our requirements.

Chloe was extremely understanding and helpful when I called on the 5th August to enquire about same day viewings after we had travelled from ireland that morning and were let down by another agency.
She was very helpful and patient when showing us the house and answering all of our questions.

Absolutely appalling, got in contact with the estate agent about a property that I was interested in went to arrange a viewing on z property and explained that we was relocating from 150 miles away so wouldn’t be able to do a in-person appointment, Agreed and said that I would be no worries and would send a video viewing over to me the next day. Four days passed and gave them the benefit of the doubt with it being a weekend. Phoned up to ask them were the viewing was and they had the cheek to tell me that they had already Let agreed the property. I completely understand that property’s go fast however when you have put so much effort into to liaising with there estate agent for them to then go behind your back and let it and not even inform you that they have done that severely unprofessional and will not be using ever again.

I visited the Bearwood branch on Saturday 23 July after unexpectedly needing to find somewhere to rent. I met Daniella and she listened to our situation and seemed to understand immediately what we needed. Just days later, she found us the perfect new home and booked us in for a viewing. We loved the house, so together with Kim, Daniella arranged the whole application process for us quickly, efficiently and very helpfully. We moved in on Saturday 20 August - it feels like a miracle that all this happened within a month of meeting Daniella! We love our new home and we're sure we'll be very happy there. Where do i start :-). I cannot thank the team at Dixons enough for all the help they gave me and my family in finding our new home. Daniella was my first contact with Dixons. Due to being unable to make my viewing at short notice, she more than kindly sent me a video she had taken of the property. If you are looking to purchase a property, I urge you to look elsewhere, I found this Estate Agent to be cut-throat and unscrupulous. I am a seasoned buyer and have never experienced such under-handed behaviour. They attempted to force me to use their in-house Mortgage Broker at wopping cost of £680 where most other in-house Brokers are free. They stated the seller advised it was a condition of the sale to use Dixons Morgaage Broker, I objected and told them this was illegal and proceeded with my own Broker. I found the Manager to be quite rude in her tone and unsympathetic when telling me they were puling the plug at the last minute to go with a higher offer when we were near completion stage! She let me know that her care and concern lay with the Seller. I wasted two months of my time and £100s on searches and a survey, luckily the solictors didn't charge if there was no sale. The goverment really do need to step in and regulate Estate Agents because they wield too much power to make decisons that can ruin peoples lives.

AVOID! I went to Dixons to purchase a property on 2 occasions, I had to constantly call up to arrange a viewing. Dixons are one of the worst estate agents going. Nobody ever seems to know what they’re doing and pass you from person to person. Everyone is miserable and unfriendly. Extremely difficult to reach all of the time.
Had a survey booked in... they didn’t even bother to show up. Contacted them, they had no real reason, said they’d call back, never did.
Was also interested in purchasing a property which was a disaster. Couldn’t get hold of anyone. Nobody got back. Went in, again nobody had a clue what they were doing, passed from one clueless employee to the other... all of which were miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there.
Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional, poor communications and frankly a shambles.

I approached Dixon to BUY a property. After the offer was accepted by the seller we were pushed to use in-house mortgage advisor who took an upfront £250 from me for processing the application. After making upfront payment to the mortgage advisor and assigning solicitor with a deposit of £400, I was told the seller is not interested in selling the property. I was waiting for nearly 2 months to be told by the Dixons that the seller are not interested.
Firstly, I am disappointed for not been given true information about the seller's intention to sell the property and secondly, I was given false information regarding the seller’s use of their in-house solicitors because of which I was trapped.
Thirdly, I have not received any mortgage service from Countrywide for the £250 I have paid, even if Varun Khatana (Mr.Sunny) has already proceeded with the application he should have made sure the seller has true intention to sell, this was the main reason for me to use everything-house with countrywide. If Varun Khatana has proceeded with any mortgage application I should have received any document to support or for latter proof, I have not had any letter correspondence from the bank to support this.
Asked for a refund and I was inform this is a non-refundable money and only can be used while going for next property mortgage process, again a trap to use their mortgage service.
Do not pay any up-front to the mortgage advisor nor to Dixons agent, they will trap you with your money to buy property using their service.

Really poor service. I called from 9am till 11 pm to ask about one property and no one answered my call then someone answer it and said one of his colleague will call me back at 1pm after that no one called me back. At 2pm i called and they said the property is under-offer and i said i can make a better offer and they said no. Today i received a call but unfortunately I was busy so i had no chance to reply but after i tried to call them for long time but no one replied. Around 2 O'clock someone replied and he cut my call without giving me any answer very unprofessional.

Avoid dixons if you want to buy a home. I've heard of certain agents having an agenda!

Tried to view a property to rent but before you view the property you must confirm you have a credit score of 500+ (even though the UK average is 414) otherwise they won’t even reference you. I’d be surprised if the staff even have that credit score. Shouldn’t offer a guarantor service if you’re going to have unrealistic credit score pass rates for prospective tenants, defeats the object of a guarantor no?

Had a bad experience with the sales guy back in around 2016 or start of 2017. My mum was going to buy a property, i also was going to buy too had a view with a young guy black hair think he was from sohiull (forgot his name) it was my 1st property i ever looked at. When he saw my mum again - he shouted at her harrasing her asking if i was going to buy it or not and if not to stop wasting his time? My mum had gone in regards to her own property and he said this to her. We both was upset bt this and brought esle where.Thanks

Why would she want to see our contract with other agent? We just wanted to see the property.

My first experience ever renting out a property, I was very nervous and confused but a big Thank you to Amy Bush who made it so easy and comfortable for me to go through the process. Such a friendly and welcoming individual. My original phone call was regarding a different property, but Amy kindly offered me a different property which was much better than the initial one I had seen online! Update September 2018 - I have recently used Dixons again to sell my property and was less impressed this time. Their sales progression team really are amazing, and do a fabulous job, particularly Sam who helped in our negotiation process. However, the sales team had some issues with my keys (both thinking they had them, then losing them) which caused unnecessary hassle in a difficult process. I will shop around for an agent next time.

Having never rented before, they made the process so easy for us and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was ready for us in very quick turnaround. Rented a property for 8 months, the agents that dealt with us about renting the property were very good but we was let down big time through the landlord and property management side, we was told the fence would be replaced as soon as we moved in but it took them 4 months to sort out a few panels, we was left without a boiler for 3 weeks and this was during the period of the winter where it was the coldsest in the area in years and it was -2ºC in the house, I had to call the property management every time to chase them up because nothing was ever getting anywhere ans we was never updated if i never called they wouldn't of got it done otherwise. Landlord refused to refund us 3 weeks worth of rent that we was without a boiler, then they made up bizarre accusations about how we left the place, there was damp in the property we was told to just paint over it, highly recommend you stay away from renting from Dixon's with our experiance!

The best letting agency. They are so fast and efficient. Dixon agency have affordable renting range and reasonable worth paying ageny fees. There were no hidden charges and they are as transparent as they are. Among all the agencies i have dealt with, i would positively say, Dixon’s agency is the one.
I had my best experience with Amy Bush (Letting Negotiator) , Amy was very friendly and honest.
Amy was so quick that , on the day i viewed the property , was the same day i got the property. Amy rang the landlord and discussed about my counter offer for rent to the landlord while i was there , and got it fixed for the price i offered .

Totally disappointed from the lookalikes service. Well I found some attractive properties for rent in righmove, advertised by Dixons. Than I’ve ring on 1st or 2th of Jan not sure and the answer machine was continuing saying that all agents are busy and someone will answer my call shorty, anyway none did...anyway I realised they are maybe closed and rang them again on th following day, where I found that all this”attractive” properties are not longer available, but still advertise as available!? Simply nobody has been updated the information in last 1,5 months, absolute unprofessional and embarrassing, wasting people’s time.
I have been advised to check directly into their own company website, where I found some other nice properties. On the day after I called again to arrange eventual viewing of these, and again from 4 i’ve Liked only one was available...anyway I did request a viewing for the one still available, but than i’ve been questioned hundreds of questions incl. personal information, where simply for an only a viewing they need to know, just: name, contacting number, employment status and are you renting at the moments, that’s it nothing else! Anyway due to my self employment status, the staff member on the phone promised me that will talk to his Manager/on a meeting by the time/ and will contacting me back before lunch time....So “Voice in a Desert”, nobody follow up as it’s should.
So thank you guys, keep going in this way wasting people time, and loosing potential customers! Personal advice: “Treat everyone as unique individual, with respect and extra care and provide professional service, if you are planing to stay at the estate agents field !”
Happily i found a great property through somewhere else and paid the money that you missed.

Multiple times people have commented on the holding deposit and the owner always states that it's deducted from the total on commencement of the tenancy. This simply isn't true, despite it being worded that way in documents I have from Dixons.
To quote one of their employees in an email: "The fees on the good faith are the same as I explained on the viewing, so the initial £250 is all part of your applications fees and doesn’t come off the end payment.
It is taken as a separate payment to secure the property and start the referencing process"
This wasn't explained at the viewing, in fact we were told there wasn't a holding deposit, simply an application form to be completed that would be provided to the landlord for him to choose from prospective tenants.
I'd steer clear and find a more reasonable agent.

Helpful and friendly staff, ready to give me a call to keep me always updated. The whole process has been easy and they have been available to meet my needs. Anyway, I found the fees which we paid to rent the property (we paid £ 450) over the average and not clearly explained at the beginning of the process. This is despite we both have a permanent job (not need a guarantor), excellent references from our previous landlords and planning to rent for a long term. If you scroll down you can find another review from another customer which complained for the same issue where DIXON answers that this is because of the "Holding Payment", and it would have been used against the final invoice of rent, deposit and fees as a deduction. Unfortunately this has not happened.

When we came to look at a Dixons property we were once bitten twice shy. We had recently viewed and made an offer on a house marketed by another estate agent and felt that we not given an honest shot at getting the property. Dixons proved totally different. I almost never write a review online, but this deserves it...
We found a property we liked. An agent - Jimmy (??) - was not very helpful in showing the place ("this is a living room"; "idk, I need to check"), but fortunately there were owners around to ask more specific questions. The agent was very pushy on a few occasions. He said that they have one offer on the table already and we need to make a decision today, but the owners had no idea about it.
The owners told us, we are dream tenants for any landlord (great references, good jobs, handyman skills, planning to rent for a few years). Clearly, they liked us very much...
Despite unprofessional agent, we liked the property and the owners (there were going to manage the property, not Dixons), so we go down to the Dixons' office (BTW: dirty and with crisps on the floor) to put down the application. The agent could not even give us a ride because of insurance reasons (true? maybe...). But we stayed there only about a minute when Jimmy (??) asked for £500 (!!!) fee, including £250 was for holding down the property (what ?). For us it is called a steal! We left offended.
Just FYI, fees around £250 are something normal, but not twice of that!!!

I have recently sold my property with Dixons in Bearwood and would recommend these guys to anyone considering selling their home. I had three valuations from local agents in the Bearwood area (at this time I didn't have Dixons out) I went with the agent that was the middle valuation (which I still feel was the correct thing to do), I had 2 viewings in 3 months and never heard anything back from the other two agents regarding my house. I contacted Dixons in March to ask there thoughts on my property, they told me it should have sold, told me they had people that would view it and that my home was on the market for the correct price to attract far more viewers than two (I did at this point think it was all sales as this was also what the other three agents had told me). Four weeks later I decided (after three phone calls from Matt and Lee) to put my house on the market. Three weeks later they sold the house for £5,000 less than the asking price and £2,000 more than I thought I would achieve. The service was what I expected from an Estate Agent and up until this point had lost all faith in Estate Agents and selling my home. Thanks guys
