We wanted to buy a 1bed flat. Viewing and offer stages went well. After that, I've spent 7 months waiting for the sale process to progress, unfortunately the sale didn't go through. The vendor and the estate agents 'forgot' to tell us that there were 15k of outstanding charges on the property due to maintenance works to be done: we discovered it at the very last minute thanks to the council. No negotiation was accepted by the vendor.
Total lack of interest on the part of real estate agents throughout the overall process. So sad.

Would give particularly high praise for Sales Negotiator Ciara Price who navigated a small bidding war with fairness and less aggression or hype than we experienced with some other E17 agents! If you are looking in the Walthamstow area Ciara would be a good person to speak to and then if EE can find you a property they have a great team to help progress the sale along at pace too. Highly recommended.

We have purchased our first property with Estates East and we were overall very happy with them. They have a friendly team, they are very organised and they have very good telephone manners (unlike most Estates Agents we had to deal with in the past!). We felt that we were treated in a respectful way and we will not hesitate to get in touch with them if we move again in the future. The only small point that I could make is that the sales progression team can be a bit slow to answer emails and that we had to chase a couple of times. That's all.

There are some dedicated and helpful folks at Estates17. However, during my 5 years as reliable and respectful tenant they did not do enough to manage the actions of my landlord. The experience felt very one-sided as a tenant and I had to be very organised and determined to ensure my rights were met by the agency and landlord combined.

I'm fairly certain Jamie is the most amazing agent I've ever come across and I'm so glad that we chose to sell with him.

Bought a flat in the village from Estates17 about 5 years ago. Really good service from Mirko at the time. Since then I've moved out and had to lease it out. Naturally we went back to Estates 17 to manage the property. Zero complaints from us. Mirko has done an excellent job finding and vetting tenants. The management team, Lauren and Co, have been really helpful and immediately on things when problems have arisen (whether a big problem like a leak, or something small, like getting quotes for a tenant's request).

I was looking for a house to buy for quite some time and Jamie patiently showed me a fair number. He was always energetic, enthusiastic, and as others have said,, very personable. When the market became frenzied he still tried hard to find me something that suited, even when he was promoted to the position of Sales Director. Staff at Estates 17 are dynamic and efficient. I am sorry that, in the end, the property I found was with another local estate agents - I’m sure Jamie would have stayed focused post-offer and liaised much more effectively with my solicitor and vendor to move the purchase along, keeping me informed as to what was happening in the chain. A good indication of his dedication and professionalism is that while aware that, despite his considerable efforts, I'd ended up buying through others, he continued to be friendly and helpful when I asked for some general house refurb advice.

I must say Michael Fenton is a jolly good fellow who hand-held me remotely through the process of selling a London property of my late brother while I sat 'comfortably' in front of my laptop or using my cell phone in Singapore to communicate with Michael.
Michael is a super efficient and helpful estate agent who responded to all my communications (WhatsApp messages or audio calls, and letters) almost instantaneously despite an eight-hour time difference between us.
Most importantly, he is highly professional with good contacts and is able to sell the property for us within a three month period in and out of the COVID19 lockdown periods.
I highly recommend anyone who needs professional help regarding buying or selling a property to contact them without hesitation. Michael is based in Orford Road branch.

Very professional service both on sales and lettings. As a small-medium sized private landlord we do much of our management in house but outsource check in/check out, re-letting and sales to Estates 17. We have used them since the late 1990s. In those 20 plus years we have had not one bad experience and service has generally been excellent across all areas and at a fair price. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

The viewings were organised in a way that was safe and I felt that the covid precautions taken went above and beyond the guidelines. They made sure that the viewings were carried out in a professional and safe way. Once we had an offer we had help from Becky. The sale of my property was not straight forward. Becky was in contact with us daily and worked as quickly as possible to get everything sorted for me. We used Estates17 to sell our flat this year, kicking off the process in February. The market was clearly a nightmare as the world sank into pandemic, but the team at Estates17 remained so helpful, positive and got us our sale.
No question is ever too dumb to ask, or too late at night. They are responsive and pragmatic. In particular, when there were difficulties with our chain, one staff member went above and beyond liaising with all parties to push it through. I haven't ever experienced, or heard of, someone putting in that much effort for a flat sale - she was amazing!

A friend of mine was just telling me about a bad experience with an estate agent and it reminded me how LUCKY we are with Estates 17!
They've been great as letting agents for the rental we live in. We've not managed to buy with them yet, but they've been really patient and supportive with us with viewings and offers. They give a bespoke and tailored service, akin to the approach in the States where they work to match buyers with the right homes, as well as having the sellers interests at the forefront of mind.
They are super responsive and transparent - that's especially true of Jamie! I've recommended them personally to friends who have successfully bought their first E17 home with them. They clearly get the best properties across price ranges. Jamie keeps you in good spirits when things get stressful. They're doing great work for charity and the community, and putting in the extra hours to make that possible.
They've got a contemporary approach and I think they'll influence other estate agents to up their good values game.

Mirko, Ted and the team were excellent when we were looking for a new property.
They were 1 of 2 agents (we met 10+ during our search) to wear PPE, and the only agents who provided full PPE and wore it appropriately.
They were professional and the property we put an offer in looked just as the pictures, which is always a plus. They followed up when they said they would and provided us with the right information.
Even though we did not end up going for this particular property, we were thoroughly impressed by their process, their flexibility and their attention in our home search.

As I've been telling friends recently, the Esates17 team are a rarity. House buying and selling can be stressful especially in such uncertain times and to be honest I was nervous. Nervous about whether it was the right time to move/buy, let alone about the process.

I used this agency recently to get my new flat. Was the first time I used an agency as I was previously in a room with people which I already. Due the current situation all the process was dealt with online through emails. Mirko was very good in responding to our queries and helping us throughout all the process was absolutely fantastic. There were absolutely wonderful photos of a stunning, superb garden with property in Barclay Road - the details of which mysteriously disappeared after only 1 day. Far more attention was given to garden, the glowing write-up certainly grabbed your attention and imagination, making it a very desirable acquisition. The garden was an astounding oasis for a London property, an unsurpassed gem ...... only thing is, examining closely, your firm completely failed to realise the magnificent Japanese Acers, Bamboos, Grasses, Ferns etc WERE ALL IN POTS, the Buddha's appeared transportable - which anyone with any commonsense would assume the owners took with them!! I recently sold my house with Estates17 and they were fantastic.
From the first impression when they come to value your property you know you are dealing with very experienced agents. When a new property comes up in Rightmove you already know whether it is a strong possibility or not. Estates17 use a professional photographer which is very important as some properties have block viewings where you spend 15mns visiting the property. Once you go back home and consider whether you should be making an offer you cannot remember everything so the photos are very important. There will be serval photos for each room with great attention to details. Estates17 will send you confirmation by email of all the viewings. On the day of the viewings they prepare a nice brochures with the particulars of the property, one of the agents will be doing the viewings and deal with any requests. If there are any offers the agents will try and get you the best price and they also advise on the best buyers etc. Selling a property is quite a long procedure and it always takes a few months. Every time I rang Estates17 I had the impression that everybody in the office knew who I was and which property I was calling about.
In particular, Jamie took over my transaction and not only he came to value the house, dealt with potential buyers, the buyers who ultimately purchased the property, but he also dealt with surveyors, other third parties (ie timber and dampness specialists, solicitors, queries which arose along the way… ) He was really brilliant and truly amazing, always up-to-date on everything. Every time I had a query (when is the survey going to be booked, what is the status on this or that, update on the mortgage offer, dates when the buyers wanted to exchange/complete etc) Jamie always had the answer straight away. There was never one instance when he said he did not know and would have to find out as he already had the answer. More than in one occasion I thought he was putting a lot of time and effort into the transaction as there must have been a lot of phone calls he was making to other parties in order to keep up-to-date with everything and all of this goes beyond his usual tasks. He was always very approachable, whether I sent an email or a text message on his i-phone he would reply straight away, even at weekends . I remember sending a few text messages over the bank holiday weekend in May and he replied straight away. He called me to say he was going on hols and away for a few weeks but everything was in hand and I could speak to anyone else in his absence. As soon as he was back from holiday he made contact again with an update.
I am myself a difficult and challenging person as I can change my mind and can be undecided, the transaction had previously fallen through as communication with the previous buyers had broken down but the second time it went very smoothly and I believe this was all to do with Jamie’s help as he dealt with most of the queries. I also feel it is very important you trust the agent and I always felt I could trust Jamie 100%. Jamie was always very patient with me and I had no doubts along the way that I may not sell this time even though I now have to rent temporarily. Jamie has been giving me good advice on market trends, property prices in general and I look forward to working with him again on my new purchase.

Nonetheless Jamie kept in constant touch to keep the lines of communication open and its was without hesitation I chose Jamie to sell my property this year when the time was right.
Jamie used his network to get the right, serious buyers to view the property and took the time to explain my options to me.
He has been available constantly, even on days off, to reassure and help smooth the process. Sadly we didn't buy our new property through Jamie but even so he offers help and guidance on my purchase.

Initially seemed good but after a long and arduous dealing with this estate agents, it is clear that they are non-responsive, unhelpful and after two months, we are still waiting for a response to our last email. Unacceptable and will certainly not be using them again.
