Dishonest service for buyers putting in offers.We viewed a property twice on same day and was told by vendor at 6pm that we were the only ones that view today. This property had been on the market over a year. Next day we put in an offer to be told by the agent she was thinking about the offers on the table as apparently there were higher offers from yesterdays viewings! Mmm. Well according to the vendor there wasn't any viewings other than us that day! Even though we believe we were the only ones to offer. The vendor couldn't have been anymore desperate to sell as she shown us around. We gave it two days. We upped our offer she accepted but What made no sense if there were alot of higher offers than ours they would of chosen the higher offers. We had a random call a voicemail left about an update on the offer we put in, then magically as I phoned phoned back was told nothing but was up sold there broker services again !Personally this was to pressure us to up our offer and there was no additional offers. We decided to pull out as we felt they were not genuine agents. Weeks after I received alot of calls regarding the property that still remained on the market.so all the buzz of many offer's we much doubt. Would be interesting to see a paper record of the other "offers" that appently they had! Making up offers is illegal.don't be a sly fox ! If a seller wants more than the offer just be honest. Buyer's are clued up and know the market is slow atm on bigger properties.There are many buyers who invest there time in viewing houses.sellers want good service. Sellers make sure you are aware of what these agents are saying to buyers. Not too meantion how many times they try to sell you there broker services they dont take a "no". Which we had already said we had a broker. What was a Shame vendor was lovely but dishonest agent's affected the purchase

This is the worst lettings company I have ever dealt with. I have been in the property business for many years and this company decided to collect rent when they were no longer instructed and it's taken me over 20 emails and 40 phone calls to chase £700 of rent which I still haven't received in full in over 7 weeks. Do not use Fox & Sons. Taila from the lettings department is difficult to get hold off and you need to chase 3-4 times to get a single response.

I used fox's a couple of years back and did not receive the best service, I was hesitant to go back but as a lifetime member of there financial service scheme I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I couldn't be happier with the service received all round!

I have to say how helpful the staff were at the Bognor Branch of Fox & Sons. They could not have been more helpful.
They went out of their way to make sure my mum's sale went well, and she had tricky buyers to say the least, but all the staff were exceptional. They keep me updated with the progress and helped out with all the negotiation between all parties involved.
My mum was getting very stressed with everything and they all helped to ease the pressure and situation.

Appears fox and sons are only an acceptable estate agents if you are the one with property. They seem to forget they also offer a service to the tenants. I’ve had multiple issues since being with them, one of which was them disputing that they even manage the property and another of waiting over a month for a response to the mould reported.

The worst agency I have ever dealt with.
No idea how about people at sales,but ladies at Lettings in Bognor Regis branch ,especially Simona Jonikaite are beyond arrogant. The women I have mentioned keeps rolling her eyes every time in front of you,kept dropping the phone during the conversation,last but not least ,during the intentorisation she made up things and dropped them on me to make it look its my fault that the property is in this state(they ran the property just 6 months and had no idea what it was like before,I have been living there for 6 years and was letting it from Leaders).
No help at all in finding a new property for my family just calls and questions when we are moving out. Oh sorry,there was one attempt to help,I was offered a property for £1900 pcm.
Future tenants should definitely avoid this agency.

Not the greatest experience here.. I have been messed around over a variety of fox and sons branches and have had to chase the mortgage advisor from lancing to Bognor to get anywhere only to discover I actually got a better offer with NatWest.
I was informed of XYZ of schemes that appeared to be running to help people onto the property ladder so continued to chase to get a better understanding of what exactly these schemes were and upon eventually catching up with the advisor in this branch was informed that our offer with NatWest was more than he could actually get us.. but then said was going to have some time to look at figures and would be back in touch by the Tuesday with a mortgage offer...
Should've seen the red flag there but didn't and thought I could trust fox and sons as a brand, but sadly learnt after placing an offer at a different branch that I couldn't...
Well let's simply say I got a mortgage agreed elsewhere and believe it or not... I've made an offer on a property, had it go stale as after 6 weeks just being told that's nice doesn't give much indication from the other outlet and as for this branch...
Never heard back about that mortgage in principle and don't expect to either...
Just wish estate agents would simply be open honest and up front with things, rather than sugar coat a bad situation....

Horrendous experience with this agent. Namely Jodie and Lorena, who left the company without dealing with my issues nor passing them over to anyone else/notifying the landlord.
To the defence of the new team though, they handled my request to terminate my tenancy early extremely well, very efficient and professionally given the previous agents had been corrupt and left the new team to clean the mess.
However I wouldn't go through this agent again.

Advice to new buyers, make sure you understand the property wordings and check carefully (freehold, leasehold and etc.) what’s the best you're looking for before you go for a deal!
Not always the agents are given the correct info from sellers/landlords, but be sure all the hidden info will be available with the time from their solicitors’ checks!!

A friend of mine moved into one of their rental properties and she was promised it would be cleaned and redecorated but upon moving in however come move in day none of these had been done - to top it off the previous tenant had a dog to which my friend was allergic so we had to pay for a professional clean to be undertaken. Along with these issues there were plug sockets that were not fixed back to the wall - clear safety hazard and Fox and Sons had knowledge of my friend having young children. When speaking to the landlord, she had been charged for both the works to be completed as well! Would advise revisiting properties before moving in if works are promised, to ensure they are completed, if your unable to avoid this agent completely.

The viewings were really rushed we only had around 10 minutes to look around the property and the agent who showed us around couldn’t answer any of our questions. (And turned up late) On our second viewing to a property, again, none of our questions had been answered. We were originally told one cost for maintenance and when we requested a maintenance breakdown after a second property viewing , this turned out to be a lot more than we were told. The whole experience has been unprofessional and rushed. We have had other viewings with those such as Your Move and Henry Adams and had a much better experience.

I am first time buyer. Me and my wife went for a viewing of a property which is for sale by Fox and Sons and been asked if we have a mortgage adviser. I sayed no and been offered to meet theirs. We except. In the conversation with their mortgage broker Massimo Jones he promised he will secure a mortgage for us quickly(because my wife is pregnantand and have to give birth around 20th of January) with 5% deposit, despite my low credit score for a fee of £700. If he will not secure a mortgage he will refund our money back.
Me and my wife choose a property and he sayed he will do an offer for us. Offer was excepted and he asked me to come to do the mortgage application. On the application he took the £700 and guarantee he will secure a mortgage or money back. After I have payed the fee he said he expect results next week and also he will go for his annual leave for 12 days. On the day he went on his annual leave he contacted me and sayed the lender refused to lend me the money and I have to look another properties, becouse he can't find a lender for the one I choose with my wife.
OK, we started to look for another properties and found a very good one priced 120k, but valuation on Zoopla is showing estimated value is 144k. I wanted to put an offer, but been told by estate agency, offer to be excepted by them I need a document called Agreement in principle. I didn't have that, as Massimo Jones didn't provide me with it when have done an offer on previous property. Because Massimo Jones wasn't around and I had to secure a mortgage as quickly as possible as my wife will give birth in less than 4 months I've been advised to use another broker to secure the property to do my Agreement in Principle quickly from the scratch to put an offer. My Agreement in principle was created, I put an offer and it was excepted. When Massimo came from his holiday I already had a secured mortgage and I asked my money to be refunded. He said he have to ask his boss named Alex first. Which is showing already he was not authorised to give a promise to me and my wife he will refund the money. Next day Massimo Jones contacted me and said his boss will not refund me as Massimo potentially could do a mortgage on another property when he is back from his holiday, just not for the one I choose previously.
Worst experience ever.
Contacted Fox and Sons Head office to make a complane. Been told it will take up to 8 weeks to do the investigation and it is not guaranteed my money will be refunded.

From the start Fox and Sons Lettings Bognor treat you like you are their most important customer until they get any money out of your account. Once this happens they never give you any feedback or return your calls or emails.
Both my partner and I viewed a property at the beginning of May which we really liked and were told that we could move into the property at the end of that month. Therefore as this was the perfect situation for us both, as a result paid a fee of £285.00 each as a holding amount whilst we are referenced.
This is when the nature of our experience with Fox and Sons turned extremely sour. It reached the last week of May and we still had not received our move in date! We then called the office approximately 4 times before we had any response, which was when we were told that the property was on the market whilst still in the process of a selling exchange!
This was extremely infuriating as it took us excessive amounts of chasing for our move in date to find out the property was put on the market without it being ready for any prospective tenant to move in. We had therefore paid in excess of £570.00 for a property that we could not even move into!
When speaking with the lettings "manager" he kept trying to fob us off with excuses telling us that it would now be the 3rd week of June that we could move in. When I then called the office to confirm what date within the 3rd week of June, we were told that "we were being optimistic thinking that".
In the end I had to raise a formal complaint to the head office and request all of the money we paid to be returned to us ASAP. Only then when I had done this, was when I received an apology from a member of the lettings team.
It is a shame that this has happened. However for all the trouble and stress we had endured due to Fox and Sons lack of communication and honesty, I feel that it is necessary to warn people to steer clear from Fox and Sons until this office learns not to swindle people out of their money.

Both myself and my boyfriend had an awful experience with Fox and Sons. The letting manager was more like a very rude and pushy car salesman than a letting agent. They showed us two flats and kept phoning to trying to talk us into taking the flat. The staff have no idea how to treat people. All they want is to take your money. BEWARE
