Good experience! Whenever I rang through to the office, the people who answered the phone were very friendly and professional.
Zoran at the Fox and sons Taunton branch was also incredibly helpful throughout every step of the process! Despite probably being very busy, He always kept in contact with me and provided updates along the way, and always responded quickly. I had been experiencing some practical and emotional difficulties selling my late mother’s house whilst suffering communication difficulties between previous agent and appointed executors. Needed a change and responded to a personalised hand written contact from Katrice causing me to cold call one afternoon. What a breath of fresh air. Katrice immediately took ownership of my predicament, contacted executors, relayed my wishes and took on the sale all within half an hour. Such a weight lifted from then on when I was kept completely in the ‘loop’ of what turned out to be a challenging sale based on building construction and some personalities involved, mine included, to be honest, as I have a intransigent streak. Fox and Sons are very personable, first name terms quickly being established with Katrice and Leah, both of whom understood my issues with the whole scenario. No nonsense, minimum bureaucracy. Job done.

Not great I’m afraid. Things started so well with great enthusiasm, and energy for the first week but that was when the positives end and inexperience shone through. They didn’t know how the right move alerts worked (which seems important when selling a house), we were told incorrect information about our eventual purchasers, there was no drive to move the sale on and most frustratingly they didn’t take any blame and everything was not their fault or “out of their hands”- even when blaming the solicitors they recommend (for a kickback).
This may have been a one off (and I hope for others sake it was) but unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend.

We put our house on the market with Fox because the house we wanted to buy was being sold with them as agents. On the day we sold our house they told us that an offer had been accepted on the house we wanted. We would have paid more than the buyers did for that house. A good agent would have let the two potential buyers outbid each other but that didn’t happen. We had to then find another property and Fox got very impatient with us and almost seemed to end up acting on behalf of our buyers!!

Unfortunately it all went downhill from here when they let themselves into the property I was renting without notice, luckily I was out otherwise I would have had the fright of my life. They disputed they 'had given notice' but to this day I have yet to receive this notice.
Luckily my landlord switched agents after this incident as it was also the final straw for them, we are now being overseen by a professional company with manners and integrity.

5* IS NOT ENOUGH! I have been dealing with Patrick Cross for my move to Taunton. I was moving from out of area due to work relocation. Patrick helped from start to finish from our first phone call to move in. He was professional and knew the questions I didn't, having not being local. I have now been in my new flat for a week and I am very happy here. Valuation individual did not show up, phoned branch to be told he isn't working today and nothing they could do and couldn't resolve.
Turns out valuation individual is actually branch manager, obviously now not going to be listing with a company that can't attend their own appointments, I would have though in the current climate that every potential customer was valuable but it would appear not.

My review is based on a potential buyer of a property that Fox and sons in Taunton that are currently advertising. I intially phoned up to show interest in 45 Nicols Place, Cotford-st-Luke and spoke to Isabel who asked various questions and booked us a viewing, which I had a text confirmation for. The day before the viewing I received a text to say that our booking was cancelled, I phoned the office and spoke to a guy who said I'm just back from a day off and it was me by mistake I will reinstate the booking. We viewed the house and was greeted by Joein who explained that he is filling in and that he will answer as much as he could, where I explained I had a lot of questions. He showed us around, but couldn't answer most of our questions, lacked enthusiam and we came away deflated. I phoned the office to put in a offer, which Joein promised to phone me back before 12:45pm on the Saturday, but didn't. I then chased the office, which took a total of 9 calls until someone answered, which was Lewis, who explained he was on his own. I asked for Joein, but I was told by Lewis that he was finished for the day, so the promised phone call was false promises. Lewis put the offer over to the vendor who then rejected this and we forward another offer, which was now handled by Isabel on the following Monday. As we had spoken to 3 people in the estate agency I had to repeat myself on numerous times which I had told Joein. They have no personal service, don't listen and you find yourself explaining your situation over and over again because they either don't write things down or because your dealing with various people they don't liaise the information over to the next person. The final offers that we placed for the property were dealt with Isabel, who I can say was polite, but after a further two offers were rejected I was told that another potential buyer had put in a higher offer. I asked what that offer was to be told data protection comes in force and that she couldn't tell me? I'm not asking for personal details, only the offer on the table. We were then told that the vendor is going with the other buyers and that they were in a better position even though we had a cash buyer on our property, completing in 2-3 weeks and we were ready to go? It felt like a game of cat and mouse with the offers, they have no care for potential buyers and only care about their vendor the seller and getting as much commission as they can. Buying a home should be exciting and Fox and sons just ruined our whole experience. I shall not deal with this shambles of a company ever again and should of read Fox and sons trust pilots reviews before I even considered picking up the phone!

We asked for a market appraisal and valuation of our house, after living in it for six years and completing upgrades to the property. Isobel Bright came to us to assess our property. She was very helpful with advising us of current market demands and how our house would fit into the market and fit buyers requirements. She was very knowledgeable on the subject and not at all pushy as to when we put our house on the market and that when we did decide to do that, either her or another member of her team would accompany us on the journey. Initially we had excellent service from one member of staff who, unfortunately left shortly afterwards. From then on the standard of service slipped to the point of hapless and frankly hopeless. Feedback on viewings was sporadic and had to be chased on nearly every occasion. After a considerable period of inaction we asked for some suggestions as to how to move the sale onward hoping for a different approach. Nothing substantial was forthcoming.

Dealt with Sean who is selling my late uncles house on behalf of Excuetors. He was extremely helpful and sensitive to the families needs. Didn’t book viewings on day family visiting house, waited until family ready before he organised house to be cleared, kept family informed of progress. He even opened house for various removal people and liaised with friends of my uncle to accommodate there wishes. Answered phone straight away, always friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I can only speak for the lettings side and If I could give 0 stars I would. I saw a flat online and loved it. Sent 4 emails since the start of November heard nothing back. Called to arrange a viewing they couldn't get me in for a week because tiverton was "too far" to go to every day. On the day of this viewing was told by a friend it had been let! No call or anything and when I rang they said they hadn't booked it in the diary so wouldn't have turned up anyway. I think the landlords need to know how awful they are as this one in particular had offered reduced fees/rent just to generate interest when In reality if they could be bothered to go out of the office or reply to emails it would have probably let in a week.. landlords stay away far better and cheaper companies out there
