I have used many estate agents over the years and I first met Adam in Great Yarmouth while he was branch manager at WHB and he was exceptional. And as soon as I knew he had returned to WHB in Norwich I knew it was the right move to come away from current agent in Norwich and use Adam to sell my property. Starting with as an International Student who just graduated in the UK was pretty hectic to find a house in Norwich for a decent price.
I was already struggling to find a place where I could stay for a year and trying to find a job as a newly graduate, but now it's all possible due to this guy.
Handed everything so perfectly and professionally available. Never had such a hadsle trying to get everything sorted for my new house but his presence made it 100% easier. What a guy, helped me out even when things were going south with the procedurals.
And if anyone asking who to for the best help, look for Buster.

Both Ethan and Buster made the impossible, happen.
When we first came to William H Brown a couple of years ago, after Ethan reached out to us, he found tenants for us fairly quickly which was very impressive. Earlier this year the plan was to sell our property which took much longer than we would have liked so we went elsewhere.
The plan changed and we decided to rent our property and once again Ethan gave us the call. After some discussion, Ethan said he & Buster could find us a tenant within 5 days - 24 hours later he found someone!!
Buster oversaw the whole process, kept us up to date and made everything smooth and easy after what has been a very stressful year!

This agent its absolutely terrible... Fees are a rip off. Don't take my word for it just get a 2nd valuation...
When you book to see a house the first thing they get the mortgage adviser when you told you don't need it, then try to get you to go with them even thou you had a valuation with them and tell then they charge 3 times more... Think twice...
Ps most agent you get sign from 2 weeks contract this one still asking for 20 wks. Fees on others are about 0.7% if more you over paying
Property ladder excellent service, starling & Watson too and even Iconic in Taverham as normal rule local small agents are far superior... Good luck

Absolutely awful! The division between men and women in that place is huge. I found that women would be disrespectful, rude, angry and offer a poor level of service. They often promised follow-up emails etc and they were never received. The communication was abysmal. Many of the staff had no clue how to sell a house at all and had very little to no sales skills however, the men that did have sales skills were so overwhelmed that I would presume it was difficult for them to perform. All of the men that I dealt with were kind, courteous, knowledgeable and considerate. I had my property on for over a year and feel that I have wasted that entire year. A real joke of a business and sadly, it’s probably due to a poor talent pool as most of the sensible men have left Norfolk and most of the young people too. An effective economy is a modern economy where women and men work together, not against each other. Very poor service. If I could give zero stars I would. I recommend that all of the staff minus those that can sell a house and those that are angry and disengaged undertake sales training specific to the property sector. When I have to attend my own house viewings and the person trying to sell the house couldn’t suggest a single positive about the house to convey to the potential buyer, I was shocked at that moment that I had even gone with W H Brown.

When no viewings, we were told for the price, people ALWAYS want a 4th bedroom - did their valuer not know that? After our only 2 viewings had to chase 5 days later for feedback. Was told we are an "anomoly " and no one knew what to do. 1st viewing wasn't even anyone interested. I was accidentally told, they got. one of their "vendor's" to give them feedback?! Told verbally it was a 10 week contract. Got tied in for 20 week. Our 2nd viewing, the agent left our back door unlocked and so left our house vulnerable. May not have been important to them, it's not the home they pay for. Took it off the market with 7 weeks remaining of the contract, as would not have wanted them in our home again.

Zach at William H Brown was extremely helpful with looking for properties, he did everything he could to find the perfect one for 3 of us to move into. He was great at explaining the specifics about each property I viewed with him, the first one i viewed and loved was unfortunately not available for 3 people, who aren’t related, to move into and Zach was perfect at explaining the reasons why. He made sure to contact me about any other available houses that would be suitable, and even showed me another property that same day. 2 days later Zach contacted me about a property that he thought would work really well for my situation, I viewed the property that day and the landlord accepted us 3 to live there that same day as well. Zach managed to secure me a property in 3 days after the first viewing he showed me, after i’d been looking for 2 months. Had a good experience with WHBrown, but I found out they had ‘lost’ my application on a home that I loved, and it was only noticed after I called everyday to find updates, so that was very disappointing due to the staff member who lost our application. That is the only downside.
However, Harrison was in contact with me after he noticed this and provided 5 star service. He stayed late to help with rewriting my application, spoke to the landlord specifically for me, and provided lots of information, and I was keen to meet him to say thank you. He was very professional and I couldn’t thank him enough, and we finally got the property that we almost lost, we wouldn’t be here without Harrison. Also a thank you to Olivia for originally meeting with us, and also providing information, and I am now settled happily in my home.
WHBrown even provided a gift box with the keys to my new home, which included drinks and some cupboard foods, as well as leaflets for furniture.

He mentioned I should speak to a north advisor there, but having explained I’d had a bad experience with the Diss advisor, I declined. But was going to send me some properties. Week later, called and left a message as I’d had nothing through. No return of call. Called again, spoke to Penny, she had Alex send me some properties immediately which was great. But she talked me into having a call with Giles, their mortgage advisor. I am a lifetime member so agreed to a call Monday 11:30am. Now it’s Tuesday, and no one calls. Very nice staff, don’t return calls.

I was very happy with William H Brown’s services. After I sent an inquiry on a flat, Zach called me back almost immediately. When it became apparent that the flat in question wouldn’t work for me due to its no-pets policy, he told me about some other properties that might meet my needs, one of which I was able to view later that day and would, in fact, eventually move into.

genuinely one of the worst experiences I have ever had renting with this company. if you are a student/young person under 25, STEER CLEAR!!! They do not respect young people at all, they will talk down to you and treat you like you know nothing at all. They have been fully aware that all year long, my landlord has been neglecting all responsibilities, including removing fire hazards!! Despite knowing this, they do absolutely nothing. On top of this, they breached my contract multiple times by allowing viewings to take place without my consent or written confirmation of the appointment. Every single time I have had an issue to report, I have been completely patronised by either Fabio or Ethan. They seem to have some kind of authority complex, as if they don't like the way you raise issues with them, they are happy to completely screw you over when it comes to landlord communication. The same is true for John, as I have heard from local peers that rent with this agency. They all need to either seek a new profession, or learn to separate their emotions from the job. They are estate agents, not gatekeepers!!! Disgusting service from all 3 of them.

Thankfully, I read about then on norwich reddit group and decided to avoid like a plague. You'll probably see a reply to this message saying (in automated AI voice) : "we're sorry yada-yada, write to our email .." - this just confirms they want you to put extra effort as they want to do the bare minimum and cant be bothered to improve service for years. Not even once I've seen genuine reply from the agency... their bot is replying for the sake of boosting their google page SEO... read about this agency on local group and you'll understand why it's worth looking elsewhere

Went in yesterday to talk about mortgages and to view a house which we both tried to book but due to them wanting to see us first to compare mortgage rates we went in, almost felt impossible to book a viewing without them wanting to see us first to compare. Bearing in mind I called up the day before to see if the viewing was going ahead which they said they will get it sorted. So the day come we go in and no one had any idea of us actually going to view the house!!! Which we was very annoyed about as that's what we booked for in the first place to find out 15 minutes later that the people selling the house had an offer last week and is now processing this!!! Fair enough the guy we spoke to vue phone was on holiday but the communication within the team was very poor! Tried to show us different properties which they said wasn't on the market yet which later we found was... waste of our time and lack of communication!!!!

Very disappointed! We found a property advertised on Rightmove that needed a fair amount of work and we thought that was reflected on the price it was advertised at and was one of the few properties that was in our budget. I phoned them up to book a viewing ASAP and I was asked a lot of standard questions and they were helpful on the phone. But somehow the agent on the phone failed to know that the property was auction but was NOT advertised anywhere as an auction property. We are absolutely gutted and are back to square one.

Norwich Branch - I wanted to purchase a mixed residental and commercial property that had failed to sell at the previous actions, I approach the department and asked if the owners would consider a private sale.
I was instructed that if I viewed the property and gave the owners agreed price it wouldn't go to another action as once in action it can't be removed......I was given 4 working days and 1 weekend so we drove 135miles - B&B, viewed and offerd the price we were told the owners wanted with 3 day's to spare - to be told we had three weeks to secure funds, arrange a mortgage and give the owners full assurity the money was ready or it will still go to action but I COULD BE REMOVED AT ANY TIME... false hope and all the want is commission

It is a shame!
I showed up to an appointment for the second time to view a property and they stood me up, the first time they didn’t have the right keys. This time I called them and the person on the phone lied through their teeth saying that the agent was coming, then I said I have another appointment and they finally told the truth, nobody had left yet and it would take them 20 minutes to arrive on top of the already delayed appointment.

The Letting department is one of the worst agencies I have ever come across. My student son was looking for Accomadation and they just treated him like a money bank and many of his friends as well that we’re looking. There hard cell tactics and fear. Mongering was unprecedented Against young students. I would encourage any parents or students looking to rent to avoid this agency and the other branch as they feel that is acceptable to bully students and to lie about properties. Even complaining to the manager did nothing as he was just as bad as the rest of his bunch.

Absolutely shambolic letting agent. Especially for student lets where they seem to try and take advantage of students by not carrying out their own checks before handing over a property. So conviently combined with an inept property management company in Sequence homes who will pass blame to each other whenever there's a problem that needs fixing. A real shame that they have a lot of student lets so are left with no choice but to use their subpar service. I would give 0 stars if I could. Students be aware and be ready to be taken advantage of.

William H Brown at First were a fantastic company, very welcoming and friendly to first time renters, they took our deposit and all of our information / ID / Guarantors Info and confirmed that myself and my partner had nothing left to pay for or sign In July, which we thought was absolutely fantastic.
It was only when my partner started to worry that we haven't heard anything from them since July, and it was a week away from the move, in September we decided to give them a call, over a two day period we spoke to 3 different staff members who all said separate things.
Staff 1 - Still had over £1000+ left to pay and that they had lost our IDs and proof of residence and also our guarantor information wasn't correct
Staff 2 - No Money left to pay, However was still missing our IDs and some guarantor information wasn't correct
Staff 3 - No payment needed, All guarantor information was Correct, However didn't have Proof of residence and an ID
After Heading into the store and speaking about this matter, i discovered that, We had paid all of the necessary payment up front, And that they were indeed only missing two pieces of information, i am very grateful to them for sorting this on the day, however it had been a full two months of no contact with us being under the influence of having everything completed, and its totally unacceptable to not tell your tenants you are missing information 3 DAYS BEFORE THEY MOVE IN!.
We Also discovered on the day of the move in that the property had not been cleaned, either by the previous tenant or the landlords, after 2 and a half hours of cleaning taking us till 6:30pm we finally got into our property and started to unpack, this is where we discovered most of the Items within the property were not useable, Lights, no bulbs, TV No cables and no remote, (Bought these personally only to discover that the TV doesn't work anyway), Microwave had completed melted on the top making it unsafe to use, as well as not having a kettle or Toaster at the property.

Horrendous! Greeted by an extremely unhelpful and unapologetic member of the sales team. Were told by the letting agent that we were able to pick up a set of keys to move into a rental property and we could pick these keys up any time that the branch was open. On arriving at the agent, a member of the sales team said he was unable to access their database, there is nobody from the lettings team in and that’s the end of it. We had travelled a fair distance with all our belongings. We were then told the we were given the wrong information as we could not be given the keys without a member of the lettings team being present. Is it that difficult William H Brown to be clear about how a move in can happen and is also that difficult for your staff to at least make some attempt to resolve the situation as opposed to saying, “I’m on the sales team so I can’t help”. Estate agents have a poor reputation at the best of times and William H Brown are adding fuel to the fire. If possible I would avoid this agency at all costs.

My partner has been house hunting for the best part of 5/6 months while I was at work. She was at the point of giving up, especially doing this while 5 months pregnant. From the moment Fabio called her, her stress was reduced, he was super friendly, helpful and communicative. He really just made the whole process smooth especially with how crazy the housing market has been. He went above and beyond with helping us secure a place, even staying late to finish the process and made sure we got our keys. Despite being super busy throughout the day. Did not have a pleasant experience with William H Brown of Norwich. Viewed a property to rent and was shown round - no problem.
First issue arose when agent at the end mentioned they would be more likely to accept our application if we were willing to pay 3-6 months rent in advance on top of our deposit?? No other estate agent asked this of us.
We still submitted an application to rent the property and we didn’t hear back from them for over 6 weeks. Pretty shoddy.

Ethan at William H Brown was incredibly helpful and supportive when helping me find a rental property. He took the time to sit with me and listen to what I was looking for and then found me my dream place. The rental market in Norwich is brutal at the moment - I've never seen anything like it. Properties are taken before they're even put online, and those that are put on websites have a fully booked waiting list within the hour sometimes. Ethan patiently explained all this to me and advised me on how to be more strategic about my search. He helped me find a property in two days which feels like some kind of Christmas miracle, I am incredibly grateful.
Huge thanks also to Gordon who showed me the properties. His schedule was packed - I saw him sprinting between viewings in dress shoes and a suit and yet he was unfailingly polite and warm with everyone he met.

We have cancelled our contract with W H Brown after initial period due to lack of offers.
I am not impressed with that company due to poor communication and I feel like lack of effort in marketing our property.
They promised us the highest price just to get us signed but that’s it. It would take a long time to receive email response and no feedback either.
They only phoned us to ask to lower the price but to be honest they didn’t even organise a few people to view the place, so hard to discuss the price.
They also wanted us to pay £100 for pictures I was perfectly capable to take with own wide angle camera. We could also boost an advertisement for some fee I understand.
I would rather recommend to sell with some smaller local companies around the place you live.
