I would highly recommend David for managing and helping on any lettings related issues. I found him extremely helpful, smart and personable and it was reassuring to know someone like him is managing the process. He is also very detailed and even took the added responsibility to visit the flat ahead of setting up the agreement. He and his team also helped verify some of the legal certifications for the flat and we ended up having to redo one of the landlord certs because of something David and his team pointed out. Goodfellows in Carshalton Beeches were recommended to us by friends that had used them to sell their property locally. From initial introduction to final exchange we have had a brilliant experience with Sarah, Jack and the rest of the team at their office. Within 1 week of putting our house on the market we had 30 viewings booked in over 2 days. Within 2 weeks we had 11 offers, 8 over the asking price. We had a few ups and downs, one buyer pulled out but Sarah and Jack had fresh offers within 24 hours. They have helped us navigate the minefield of selling property with patience, care and understanding. We can not recommend these guys highly enough, if you are selling in Carshalton Beeches and the surrounding areas they are the best.

I was very stressed with the whole house search until I encountered them through a property that I was interested in.

Very unfair and unethical practice. They can charge you all of a sudden with hidden cost which are not stated in the contract and never discussed with you. They can also threaten that they put you to debt collection when you challenge them for clarity of the clause in the contract.

Well, it's been a month now since we sold our house. Apparently our buyer was soooo desperate to move in on completion day we had nothing but hassle on when we were leaving the house on what was an emotional and stressful day, we must have had at least 5 phone calls from Sarah Pine who quite frankly was soooo pushy throughout our whole selling process that as of today's date, our buyer has still not moved in !!!!
Lee Hunt is apparently very direct but NEVER rude! I totally agree with the review that Sunny gave. We cannot all be liars! I found Lee very rude. I think Lee and Sarah need some training on empathy, sympathy and people skills!!
They got the sale which they were employed to do but at what cost to us as the customer! A very stressful 7 months which was made a hell of a lot more stressful then what it should have been considering we were not in a chain!!
Would I use them again, NO is the answer. There are alot of estate agents to use, so I would look around and do your homework.
On a plus side, Joel is a very pleasant young man. At least someone there has manners ????????

We have recently bought a house through Goodfellows and the experience we had was horrendous.
The sale manager of the branch was aggressive and rude throughout the whole process, pressuring us to make a decision that we were not confident in, shouting on the phone when we had disagreed with his intention. Clearly this tone was set from the top as his junior was the same. Continuous pressure and hostility was the norm and you could tell they only care about the money that goes in their pocket rather than their clients.
It’s clear this didn’t only happen to us as everyone around the area knows their reputation to be belittling and hostile.
I am not usually the person to write reviews and badly portray anyone, but this is me wishing that this experience does not happen to anyone else and hope the branch, especially their sale manager, realise how disgusting their service is.
I do not recommend nor will I recommend to anyone looking to let, sell or buy a property.

I purchased through Goodfellows and did not have a very good experience. 9 times out of 10 when I called it would go to the 'overflow service' and I would request a callback which was often never returned. Both myself and my solicitors found it hard to get an email response from them and when they did respond they had usually not paid attention to what had been asked. Although I found Joel pleasant enough to talk with (whenever i did get a callback) he wasn't very proactive in chasing things up and seemed to not really be aware of what was going on. Lee on the other hand I found to be rude, abrasive and condescending. I would never purchase through Goodfellows again.

A brilliant agent if you are renting or planning to rent a property. Being a first-time landlord we found the process from start to finish easy and supportive. Louise provided guidance during the initial viewing/valuation visit that need actioning to get the property tenant ready (cosmetically and legally) which was extremely helpful along with detailed information on the rental services provided.
Our viewing needs were supported by Louise and Keeley who organised weekend block viewings which limited evening disruption (super helpful when you have young children).
The property rented our very quickly and the contract process was very simple with the remote and online system allowing for a quick completion.
Overall, a very good service provided by the team in Carshalton.

I couldn't agree more. She was there taking photographs the moment my rental property became available, and the advert went up that very night. The process of finding and vetting tenants went without hassle. My only regret is not handing the property over sooner. I tried the DIY approach to ensuring it met all regulatory standards. When we decided to sell our property, we had three different estate agents over to value the house. From all three estate agents we were met with salesmen who were more interested in demonstrating why statistically their company was the best, over how we can have a stress-free sale and obtain a price we would be happy with. We thought this was standard so was about to settle with one of these companies.
When I began to look for a property to buy, I spoke with Stephen Offield from Goodfellows who was the most honest and helpful individuals in the estate agent world I had spoken to. He did not try to sell Goodfellows onto us, but rather suggested I speak to Lee Hunt to help with the sale.
After Lee attended the property to complete an evaluation, we were given a very helpful information, an ambitious house sale price and competitive estate agent fees. As we were treated like humans instead of a sales target, and felt comfortable with Lee and knew we could trust his experience; we decided to use Goodfellows.
As an individual who gets anxious easily, and selling a property can be stressful, Lee knew when to accommodate our needs and when to use his experience to do what was best for the sale. After Lee achieved an offer that we were happy with, our case was assigned to Joel. However, Lee went above and beyond, playing a vital role and putting in a lot of work to get us to exchange / completion. I would also recommend Joel for his professionalism and quick responses to any issues that arose.
When we were viewing properties to buy (which were being sold by other estate agents), the external companies already knew we were in a good position, thanks to word of mouth and how highly Lee is regarded in the field. This made us feel more comfortable viewing properties and put us is good position to have an offer accepted / considered.
Unfortunately, we ended up using a very poor conveyancing firm who failed to complete simple tasks on time and a lack of communication, but due to the extra effort from the team at Goodfellows, we feel our sale went very smoothly.
I don't plan to use Goodfellows again as we are hopefully moving into our forever home. But I would not hesitate to recommend Lee, Joel and the team at Goodfellows to anyone in the future.

I was sent to a site to add more details about myself before someone at goodfellows would call me back.
On principle alone they have now lost that SALE! An estate agent that doesn’t reply to email or even contact to arrange a viewing isn’t one I will be dealing with!
EDIT: After leaving this review just received a very angry sounding voice Mail accusing me of lying and saying messages have been left. I have evidence that today after this review is the first contact received. I have NOT been contacted until today and only when I left this review. Very poor service and trying to bully me to take a viewing nearly a week after requested!

We have been very pleased with the service we received from Goodfellows in Carshalton Beeches. From our initial enquiry we were kept updated and they helped guide us through the process right up to the point of completion. It has been a particulary difficult time with the pandemic, but all house viewings were done with safety in mind, which was very good. Lee and Sarah were great and always responded in good time and answered any questions that arose. We are glad that we decided to opt for a more traditional estate agent method, as they took away all the hassle and they helped us achieve a high sale price so they ultimately paid for themselves, so good value too. Would recommend.

Everyone we have dealt with at Carshalton Beeches have been consistently polite and helpful. Whilst I cannot comment on Goodfellows' conduct as a general practice, our experience with dealing with Tom Newbrook was a rather unpleasant one. The whole conveyancing (and particularly the bidding process) was undertaken in a surprisingly opaque manner and with some of the communications with him seemingly verging on the aggressive.
Whilst it appears others have generally had a better experience with other members of staff, this has meant that, in future, we would look to sell a property elsewhere.

My experience with Goodfellows was made great due to working with Aaron. Knowledgeable, helpful, trustworthy and honest and quick to assist with whatever arose throughout the process. Truly the friendliest! Deducting a star only because the gentleman meeting me for check in was 45 minutes late (which was stressful with a large moving van parked illegally on an A road!) and when I called the office for information I found the office administration staff lacking in knowledge and very unhelpful.
