This is a really friendly, neighbourhood-based real estate agents. The Lettings Team is very efficient, helpful and pro-active from the first engagement. Indiana provide key advice on what to do to maximise the rental value and had her promotion strategy formalised the first time I showed her the updated property. Her strategy worked as the property was taken within three days of listing. Seven days later, all background checks and paperwork were complete.
Greenwoods ensured everything was taken care of, landlord insurance, inventory, walk around with the tenants. I trust them to provide ongoing management of the property including collection of the rent.
Great to deal with, can’t recommend them highly enough.

Anyone who is searching for a flat during the current rental climate will know how tough finding a property is. Having gone through a large handful of different estate agents, these guys are by far the best of the bunch, and their customer service has been incredibly warm and honest. Renting with this company involves an overly bureaucratic process, including insuring the landlord's income through a third-party company even when tenants provide a guarantor. This approach appears to favor landlords heavily. Good luck to them with such policies. I'm also glad I read the other reviews.

Imagine you’re travelling the world for a year. Would you rent out your lovely home to be managed by a man who once had a day job defending the country in frigates, destroyers or submarines or by a youngster in a shiny suit who defends a corner table in The Armpit Arms on Fridays? A complete no-brainer! And 14 months later, what was the experience like? Without doubt, words like “efficient” and “reassuring” come to mind whenever we ask ourselves the question. It meant that if problems arose (and with human beings they always do) we were swiftly told about them and, soon after, how they had been sorted. Other times we were supported with periodic updates to kept us in the picture about how the house was running. Two examples: the long and detailed handover checklist, both leaving and returning, was calmly organised on our behalf while cleaning services were arranged without having to lift a finger. Would we call upon Greenwoods again – of course. Would we recommend them to others – mad not to!

They stole my bike charger from the block they "manage" under the false accusation of electricity theft. when we had spoken about this to them when we moved in, once reminded about this conversation miraculously they returned the bike charger saying, We just found it in the basement, after 12 days of chasing them. they also protect other racists who racially profile people in the block they manage. not good people, they don't show up on time either, one day they called me at 9 am at their office, which opens at 9, and didn't show up till 9:30, when I asked them they why so late, the arrogant woman said traffic, so much for professionalism. like our time matters less, and our journey has no traffic. manipulative and not nice at all. plus Louise is never in on time, never calls back and is so unprofessional I can't believe its a British organisation.

Totally useless at Property management. I was waiting over a year to repair a simple wooden door on a bike shed that has still not happened and led to hundreds of pounds of damage to the bikes that I repeatedly reminded the office were being exposed to the weather. Not to mention they have failed to confirm our buildings insurance is renewed since the start of this year !!!!

Feedback on interactions with agent acting in their capacity as agent for Greenwoods: unfortunately interactions with this agent about information regarding the workings of a private road, residents’ covenant and association relating to property being marketed, has been met with rudeness and aggression. No such issues with other agents on property sales.

We instructed Greenwoods Residential on the sale of our property, from start to completion we found Peter and his team to be proactive, extremely helpful and positive in their approach to the sale.
They helped with getting the house ready and marketed to the highest standard in the swiftest of timescales so as to not waste any time in getting a buyer secured and the house sold, beating the highest sold price on the road!
Having bought and sold a number of properties over the past 15/20 years I found the Greenwoods Residential a 'Breath of Fresh Air' in the market place going above and beyond what is required of 'normal' estate agents.

Do not use this agancy. I have made a full asking offer on a commercial property with this little agency when it was fully confirmed in writing. After two months of ignored emails and phone calls, the same property was sold to someone else without any other contact with me. It looks like, they only sell properties to their own friends and family. If you are after a true and honest estate agent around Kingston, go somewhere else.

We signed the lease agreement in last December and moved from Hong Kong in late January on LOTR to Kingston. There were a lot of unknown and unfamiliar issues for us and without any past records in UK, it was not an easy task. We are considered to be lucky to find our apartment with Greenwoods and with May's professionalism and timely responsive to us get all the related documents done timely and also manage to help us to settled in our new lovely home for self isolation upon arrival. It would be a nightmare to stuck in a hotel room for 10 days with 2 kids and lots of big luggage. Thanks to Peter and team. The house is clean and neat. They understand us and issues we have, such as the kind of visa we hold. We shared our experiences with friends in HK and everyone asked us to introduce Greenwoods to them. From start to finish, everything was managed by Peter and his team, professionally, efficiently and without delays. The credit check was the smoothest and swiftest procedure and a good example for other companies in this field.
We were asked if there was anything we wanted to be done in the flat. A first, in our experience! Good service seems to be essential in their work. We received a flat in a very good and functioning condition and are very happy to stay here for a very long time.

I have worked with Greenwoods for the past 2 years and I can absolutely recommend them to either Sell or Rent out your property. My experience with Alex Clark Lettings was a good one under not so great circumstances - The landlord had decided to sell shortly after I had moved in - these things happen and Peter did his utmost to ensure it wasn't a bad experience.
Notice was giving for viewings as well as for photos to be taken, and Peter was also reasonable when I wanted to push forward my move out date, I also received my deposit back quickly with no issues.

Alex Clark Letting is simply the worst estate agency I have ever used. I will be doing everything in my power to never deal with them again. Peter was condescending, rude, and unprofessional nearly the entire way through my tenancy.
One example of this unprofessionalism is we once had a handy man in to fix the curtain railing and I asked about a new lock and bathroom blind. I was told that it wasn’t being done with the curtain and I would be told when it was happening. Early the next morning my roommate awoke to multiple missed calls (her phone was on silent while she slept) and the handy man standing directly outside our front door after being told that he would be let in by us, without our consent or prior warning.
Furthermore, I changed my move out date and Peter made his annoyance more than clear when talking to me and about me to my roommate.
We were never given a days’ notice about house viewings, and remarks were made about dishes not being washed, and washing hanging in the house when viewings were taking place on the short notice.
After I paid an extra month’s rent by mistake it took around 10 days for it to get refunded and when I called Peter to ask about it his words were “Hello, I haven’t forgotten about the money, I am very busy and could have simply hung up on you but I don’t like doing that to people.”
Therefore, it is blatant, Alex Clark Letting is not a reliable, professional or considerate letting agency and I highly discourage future clients to use this firm.

Living a long way from the property, I am highly dependent on Peter's judgement in the selection of tenants, drafting of contracts, setting of rent, and maintenance of the property. I have only used Alex Clark Lettings once and would do everything in my power never to have to deal with them again!! The flat itself is perfect for my situation, the customer service and letting agents on the other hand...I found Peter to be condescending and extremely sarcastic. Every small thing I requested was made out to be a big deal, a hassle, and out of services Peter seemed to offer. Another annoying thing was the time management. I have one more than one occasion had to wait on average 30 minutes - around an hour. Under no circumstances will my partner or I ever deal with Alex Clark out of choice, nor would I recommend them to my worst enemy. I would rather spend longer searching for a property or pay more than have any unnecessary dealings with Alex Clark Lettings!!!

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with the other reviews about Alex Clark.
I had travelled from Guildford to Kingston specifically for a morning viewing only to have no one turn up to meet me. I was told the flat had been let the previous day and they “were hoping I’d call because they had no contact details for me”, which I knew to be incorrect as I had exchanged emails with my phone number only the previous day.
I was understandably very angry about this so rung the following Monday to express my frustration. I was asked to confirm the number they had for me, therefore, proving that in fact, they had had my details all along. I was told the manager would ring me back that day, which never happened. Not wanting to let this go, I rung back the next day and was given a lukewarm apology and told that it was because it was the Saturday girl I dealt with, however I do not think this is as an excuse. I was also told that I was the first person this has happened to, which I am pleased to see seems to be correct, however this did not improve my personal situation. Understanding that there was no more they could do, I stated that I would not be using their services again, and left it there.
However, 2 days later I was emailed with a property that apparently “matched my requirements”. Unfortunately, this property did not meet my requirements in any way as it was a family home (I was looking for a one bed flat), it was half an hour walk from the station (proximity to the train station was my key requirement), and finally £500pm above my budget.
Overall, this was not a positive experience

I have used other letting agents before and most just let you wonder in the property without any guidance or information. Alex Clark are very different, their approach to a guided tour is very helpful in understanding the house, its surrounding and the neighbours. Also the staff are very polite and friendly and we felt comfortable asking any type of question.
In addition, the after sale service is also amazing, quick to respond and help out.

We asked Peter to find long-term tenants for our property. He began by
advising us on the steps necessary to be able to offer it for rent.
He then found suitable tenants with alacrity whilst other agencies were
unable to find tenants who met our requirements.
The tenants have been in residence for just over a year. Under Peter's
management any problems, whether functional or administrative, have been
dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The result has been satisfied landlords
and satisfied tenants. We have learnt to trust his judgement and to have
