Really disappointed with our experience with Haart Leeds. At first things seemed great. The team showed us a few places, and since we weren’t in Leeds, they even did virtual viewings for us. We decided on a property and made it clear from the very start that our move-in date (16th) was fixed and couldn’t be changed.
We paid the deposit and finished all our checks within a few days. Everything on our side was done quickly, and we kept checking in to make sure things were progressing. Then, just a few days before our move, we were suddenly told that the landlord didn’t want to rent the property anymore. Earlier we were told there were some certificates or checks pending from the owner, but this was never mentioned before we booked.
The last-minute cancellation caused us a lot of stress, as we had already organised transport and had to move out from our previous place. It really felt like there was no proper communication or transparency at all.
We’re still waiting for our deposit refund, which they said would take five working days, but it’s already delayed. Very disappointing overall, especially since all of this happened through no fault of ours. I hope someone from their management looks into how this was handled.
Update this comment - Still we have not received our deposit back and people from haarts not even responding to the calls.
