A special thank you to Sandip for assisting my elderly tenant who is recently recovering from a heart attack. The boiler stopped working over the weekend and engineers could only attend the property on Monday at the earliest which would mean two days without heating or hot water with outside temperatures close to freezing. Sandip went out of his way to personally contact the tenant on a video call to talk him through how to get the boiler working again and thankfully it worked. A fine example of someone going above and beyond the call of duty!
Hawks are without doubt the best agency I have worked with in the last 10 years of being a professional Landlord. Whereas many of the major high street names such as Foxtons merely see you as a commodity or a number, Hawks offer that personal service that you will not get anywhere else. I highly recommend working with this team of experienced, friendly and professional Estate Agents as they are brilliant at taking the stress and strain out of letting a property.

If I could give zero I would, nothing about my experience with hawks as a property manager was good.
In the 2 years they managed our property, they needed repeated reminding about doing inspections 3 times and this was months after they were due. They quoted us a over a grand for a simple gutter clean which we were able to find for around 200. They failed to get our deposit disagreement notirized which again was only identified after we chased as to what the delay was. Finally they forgot to pay for electrical work that was months over due and only notified us they hadn't paid when we requested the electrical certificate for the work.
So if you need a property manager please save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

The agent didn’t turn up. When I called the office they had no idea where she was. The details of the property on the booking were also incorrect. Supposed to see a 4th floor but the flat was on the bottom. The building was also under maintenance.

Very friendly but very useless agency: all request was processed with weeks delay. It took 2 weeks to fix the washing machine, 2 months for dishwasher. They didn't pass any information what water/electricity/heating supplier we had so I have to figure out this by myself, getting a heating bills were also a great challenge.

Rented a 3 bedroom house in E15 3DP, stayed there for 2 yeara, until the structural problems of the house started to show. Hawks was notified but the answers were always late and they didn't want to fix the problems (and therefore breaching the contract). Reported them to the council when started to rain inside one of the rooms and there were mould stains all over the ceiling and walls. Now, after leaving the house, 1 month later, still struggling with a "system error" that is keeping them to return my deposit. If you care for your health and money, stay away from them, there are better agencies out there.

Mark took my partner and I to view a house which turned out to have a downstairs bathroom (hubby knew an upstairs bathroom was a deal breaker!).
Mark asked a few questions then said he had the perfect place and took us back to the office to look at it online (masked and distanced!)
Unable to view the property that day Mark arranged a visit a couple if days later, and it was indeed the perfect place! Three weeks later we are happily settled in our new home with less fuss than I could ever have imagined! Thank you Mark & team

This post is about my experience with letting agent Hawks Property and a property in Azura Court, Stratford, E15 2JS.
Before moving in, we were presented with a 6-month tenancy agreement (Sept’20 - March’21). We did mention our visa would be expiring in January 2021 and we are looking for a shorter tenancy. The letting agent ‘Kayleigh’ mentioned that there could be addressed to the landlord and there could be a relaxation in the last month’s rent.
We did find a replacement tenant who was very interested in the property. As one of the prospective tenant was on a furlough scheme, the letting agent rejected ‘due to their client’s best interest’.
In terms of our deposit, we were also forced to pay £292.20 on a door handle (and £75 on re-cleaning windows and various other charges that went close to £450!) that was faulty to begin with. It was mentioned in the inventory check-in report that we received in the beginning of the tenancy. This was also addressed on one of the letting agent’s (Mark’s) visit to the property and he declined the claim on email. In the end, we had to give in to get the remainder of our tenancy back.
Throughout the tenancy, there were 5 different agents from Hawks property (Kayleigh, Mark, Sandip, Shahid, Jacqueline) dealing with us which was so unprofessional because some of them were not in loop of conversations and concerns and spoke to us like nothing’s wrong. We were even accused of getting taking their chairs (What would we do with them? Ship them back to our country?).
They did not let us get in touch with the landlords directly because they are ‘doctors and have busy schedules’.
That being said, this was my opinion based on my experience and I am not claiming that all letting agents in London are bad. But if I am going through Hawks Property, I WOULD DEFINITELY RECONSIDER. They are just sick money-minded people. The same goes to the property they are managing in Azura Court, Stratford.

BEWARE - THIS AGENCY IS A SCAM
Went to see a house and the agent was late. Broken tire. Ok, we rescheduled for another day and the agent was late again
We finally managed to get into the flat to be told the advertised price is not the actual price and they couldn’t adjust the price online because their office is currently under refurbishment. If they can’t adjust the price online for whatever reason they should at least make people aware prior to seeing the property
The advert online stated the property is available immediately but in reality was not and the agent wasn’t even sure when will the people move out
When we asked about the deposit protection scheme, the agent seemed confused and tried to come up with an answer and said they are not protecting the deposit because they are a private company!! That is illegal. It was a clear sign to run away
If I could give 0 stars, I would!

These guys are truly the best! The beautiful pleasent girl called Kayleigh Murphy helped me get a beautiful 2 bedroom flat, i was on a very short schedule that i thought it would take a mirricle for everything to get through, plus i have health issues and i was right it did take a mirricle that mirricle is Kayleigh Murphy , bless her soul she worked so hard all day long for 5 days straight as if i was VIP and finaly im now living in a lovely 2 bedroom place. She paid attention to everything i said and was prompt in replying to my messages , i had a few personal issues she made sure they got resolved , she went way beyond her duties and never in my life i met an agency that has such delightful employees like Kayleigh. I use to hate estate agents but not no more. If you guys are looking for someone who would go as far as the sky to help you , well then believe me this is the place to go. Such a sweet heart!

With a POA over my brother Richard's affairs, after he was taken hospital suffering, amongst other things, from advanced dementia, I moved him from Stratford to Cornwall, where I and his other relatives live, and engaged Martin & Co to sell his flat, no simple matter, not least because the flat was in such a poor state as to be deemed unmortgagable. At this time I was enduring a most stressful time looking after my brother, eventually moving him back into hospital and then into a care home funded by the flat sale and I cannot speak too highly of the help and support I got from Mark Hughes, the agent's branch manager. His guidance and sound professional advice throughout a difficult transaction was invaluable.....and he was also kind and helpful in so many ways, like forwarding mail, take electricity readings etc.

Andreas and his team were extremely helpful throughout the whole process of finding and then renting our new home. Previously we had had terrible experiences with "cowboy" letting agents and this time around we really wanted to deal with someone we felt that we could trust. I felt that I could trust what Andreas was saying from early on in the renting process and gained immense respect for him simply because when he didn't know something, he would say "I don't know, but I can find out for you". In previous experiences, agents would all-too-often just make stuff up if they weren't sure just to secure the sale. If you are looking to rent in East London, Martin and Co., offer an honest, bull****-free service and this cannot be overstated.

Was pleased with how Andreas Poulloura ( Senior Lettings Negotiator ) dealt with our let. Me and my wife live 5,000 miles away from UK, as soon as Andreas received our online request to list our UK flat for rent, the next day he immediately found us a quality tenant. His 5-star efficiency and extra politeness impressed us, most important was, his outstanding work in completing the leasing contract within few days was remarkable. In addition, the branch Manager, Mark Hughes was very quick, patient, and knowledgeable to answer our queries in detail. Overall we felt Martin & Co. I am writing to say thank you very much to Martin & Co for providing exceptional service. We have one buy to let property let which is managed by them, and are very happy with the service provided. We always ask them for advice about properties in this area, as we are looking to expand our portfolio. My wife and I were in the process of buying another in the area through another agent. Unfortunately lots of things went wrong with this deal and we reluctantly pulled out on the advice of our solicitor. This was a blow as we desperately wanted to buy in the area. Mark from Martin & Co suggested that we increase the budget as we couldn't find anything worth buying. Having worked out our maximum, Scott said that he would have a 2 bedroom house for sale 3 mins walk from the office, but that he did not even have the key yet. To cut long story short on the 8 of May we exchanged and completed on this house. We did a renovation and Scott helped to overlook the building work for us as goodwill. Mark and Andreas helped us to find a tenant to fit the completion of the building work, and we have increased the value significantly and have good tenants. We are really happy with the service they provided and will recommend Martin & Co to anyone who is looking for an estate agent in Stratford.

Went to Martin & Co as they were very local and the Office looked clean,, neat and efficient. Met Scott who was extreemly professional with a sense of humour thrown in. He had soon found a buyer and we accepted their offer. Scott guided us through the whole process without a hitch. I would not hesitate to recomend Martin & Co. Terrible agents. Didnt clean flat before we moved in, flat was disgusting. Told us we had to clean it ourselves. Boiler wasnt working and when we called the landlord they had no idea who we were because the agency hadnt told them. They also regularly added up our fees wrong in an attempt to make more money

Amazingly helpful! After going to many estate agencies, i felt like they were not listening to our needs and just trying to put us in to any property.
