Will file a complaint with The Property Ombudsman.
Called the agency to book a viewing and I instantly was lectured about how “I shouldn’t book a viewing without my partner” in a day in age of video calls and phone recording videos. Bearing in mind we are both working and have a 1 year old baby so, by their logic a couple that works to pay a mortgage won’t have a change to book viewings. They are dismissive, arrogant and have a disgraceful customer service. They will try to pressure and rush you from the get go. Avoid!

I would like to thank the Home Estates team for the sale of my house in Salisbury Street, at the end of this year. They are a small but efficient team; Rob takes cares of the selling part and Ash coordinates the process after a buyer has been agreed. In my case I saw the dream flat I wanted to buy and had the typical negative thoughts that I would not be able to get a sale for my property to be able to secure this. However, within the next few days Rob had two offers on my house, eventually selling to a lovely first-time buyer couple. I would say they understand the local market and the right price for a house. Again, in my case I wanted things done quickly and they certainly achieved this. In terms of the follow up process, there are always hitches with solicitors these days and Ash was very proactive in coordinating timely responses with both the buyer and seller solicitors. In short if you are looking to work with a small friendly team, efficient and experienced then I recommend Home Estates. They are very proactive and found them to be available for my calls
always. I am not sure if they take holidays there, but I wish them both a both Happy Christmas and a well-earned break. I am so grateful for their help in sorting my own circumstances out.

I called to get some more information about a property we are interesting in buying, didn't asked for a viewing, since we are not proceedable yet, just getting some information about the property over the phone, and apparently not being proceedable is an excuse for them to be dismissive and rude, once we are ready to put in an offer it won't be with them, will go to another state agency. So be wary about advertising your house with them, you don't want them to be rude to potential buyers, specially on a market like now.

I've used home estate agents twice. Once to buy a property and once to sell a property.
Both times they have been BRILLIANT. Rob and Ash have both been excellent throughout the process, making a very stressful process as stress free as possible.
Communication is excellent I always get through to the office on the phone and responses to emails are very quick too. I recieved regular updates throughout the process. Most importantly they keep their word and you can fully trust that if they say they will do something then they definitely will. Excellent customer service.
I would recommend them to anyone and if I was to move again would without a doubt use home estate agents. Thank you!

Definitely the best agent in Bedford. Bought a house from them 8 years ago and then sold through them completing today. Why would I recommend Home Estate Agents? Quite simply their communication and expertise is second to none. Rob is a brilliant salesman, gives great advice to a vendor to maximise the sale and is excellent at keeping you informed as to progress.
Ash deals with post offer management and is really on top of chasing the buyers, dealing with conveyancers and most important of all of reassuring you as a vendor that things are on track. Regular updates are so important and Ash never failed to gives us an update. We really can’t recommend Home Estate Agents highly enough- very professional and nice guys to deal with. Thank you both.

I recently used Home Estate Agents to sell my grandmothers bungalow, and I can`t praise the team (Ash and Rob) enough for their advise and the fantastic service I received throughout the whole process. While I originally linked in with Rob, Ash took over the sale and would always keep me updated on developments as well as be instrumental in chasing up the solicitors for both parties. My partner and I recently purchased a property through Home Estate Agents, from start to finish the service we received from Ash & Rob was first class.
We initially dealt with Rob for the initial viewing of the property. Rob appeared knowledgable about the property and had answers for most of the questions we asked and promptly followed up any further queries we raised. After we made our offer on the property, the process was followed up by Ash.
Ash dealt with matters expeditiously and kept us regularly updated throughout the buying process. Ash dealt with various queries in a timely manner, even when there issues further up the chain which needed to be resolved. Phone calls and emails were answered quickly and the frankness in some of our conversations was refreshing, no sales nonsense!
Selling/purchasing a house has been one of the most stressful times in our personal lives, but the process has been made a lot less stressful thanks to the professionalism and dedication shown by Ash & Rob.

I purchased a house through Home Estate Agents. Viewings were with Rob who could answer any questions regarding the house and quickly booked any last minute viewings. Once the offer went through, Ash began regularly contacting me with sellers and solicitors updates. Ash was amazing through the whole process. Talked me through frustrating solicitor delays and confusing conveyancer talk! My purchase felt very personal with Ash rather than a quick sale. Recently used Home Estate Agents to sell my parents bungalow, and I am very happy to recommend them and give them 5 stars. Dealt initially with Rob who arranged viewings and quickly found a buyer, then Ash took over and kept our sale progressing by regular updates, chasing up solicitors and surveyors, giving practical advice and generally keeping a stressful process calm. I rang up and wanted to view a property in Bedford, I was told they would get back to me after speaking with the vendor which is fine, they called me and said they could do Saturday, I work weekends so I said my partner would go, I was then told she couldn’t view it unless both of us were there, what is it 1945?! Women can make decisions without a man there! I’ve never heard such nonsense. Wouldn’t recommend, my partner is viewing 2 properties Saturday with other estate agents (without a man being present) god forbid, they’ll be able to vote next.

Earlier in the day my parents called to arrange a booking on behalf of me due to taking my daughter to a class and not wanting to miss out on a viewing . They were informed the keys weren't ready and to call Monday as they hoped to have them then. I called later in the afternoon to also confirm this. I was informed there were several bookings who were cash buyers, renting or sold their properties. The man would not consider me even though other people who were interested may not turn up, dislike it on viewing, be uninterested or find something of more interest. For the person who is selling the property they potentially lost out on someone of genuine interest. I queried this contradictory info and their dismissal however, this was the owner which is pretty astounding on the grounds of their rudeness and sheer dismissal as I stated. Poor company and will be flagging this with rightmove. If possible I would give no stars.
In response to your reply as I cannot reply to yours -
If this was the original information given then of course this would be fine however, the initial call by my parents was accepting of an appointment (same information that they were in a position to sell). However, on the 2nd call from myself this was not the case. Upon challenging the differing information it then came to light 'the seller had requested this' which is quite convenient. As I explained my neighbours sold within one day and above the asking price so the dismissal still stands and seems more like there was an easier sell for yourselves. Thank you for taking the time to reply and if you were genuinely offering to check with the owner taking my number would of been a start/needed

Booked an appointment with Ash for today. Received a call before hand to state he had looked at the other agent pictures and said I have a lovely home but he felt it was over priced. He then insulted me with a low price and I felt he could obviously not be arsed.
Quite frankly how anyone can appraise a house without viewing obviously a complete idiot!
Please do not waste your time dealing with this company!
