Martin and co always helpful and friendly but just recently Mr Teah Meah was especially so. We had a problem at one of our properties and he was immediately on the case dealing with us with a human and very polite touch.
But most significantly he kept us totally informed at all times and is continuing to do so whilst we attempt to get some understanding from the Housing Association.

Me and my partner had to find a place for us in a rather short period of the time.
We have looked up and registered with most of the agencies within the area closest to us.
Only the Martin&Co has responded with patience and unbelievable Customer Care.
Since our situation wasn't straight forward I have given up but them girls from Martin&Co didn't!
A massive shout out to Angelika Izydorek who been with the process step by step, along the way.
If I would say she was helpful it would have been unjust.
She was and still is the most involved and dedicated Estate Agents employee I have ever come across.
We have encounter multiple issues which in a day-to-day life would make us ineligible for the rental market.
Angelika has been an absolute star, looking after us and making sure the information are flowing promptly, seeking advise on how to overcome an obstacles on the way, giving an advice and supporting the process through out.

My name is Levite Kuruvilla, and I reside at Flat 5, 41 Conduit Road, Bedford.
Last week, we experienced an electrical fault and a potential fire hazard in our flat. I contacted Martin & Co. that same night by email, and by the next morning Mrs. Tira Miah, the property manager, responded promptly and offered immediate assistance.
On the very same day, the electrician, Haari, got in touch with me, arrived quickly, and resolved the issue efficiently. We were quite worried, but the swift action taken by Tira and the professionalism shown by Haari ensured our safety and gave us great peace of mind.

We recently hired Martin and Co to manage our property as we are overseas landlords. We had previously used Central Bedfordshire Council. We were assisted in the first instance by Hameem Miah, who was excellent at communicating the changes we were about to face with the impending legislative changes affecting landlords.
We have also been working with Angelika Izydorek who is is excellent at maintaining communication. Giving us information about what she is doing and when it will be done. She has also put us in contact with legal experts to help us navigate some issues we are having, as well as liaising with Central Bedfordshire Council to manage handover. She is also on hand to actually speak with us whenever the need arises. I can't say enough about how professional she is and how much anxiety is removed, with us no being resident

Don’t believe the word they say – stay away from them!
During the viewing they agreed (verbally) about the move in date. They took the deposit and the holding fee. References were completed within days, ready by Monday, 6 days before the expected move in date, however, my son cannot move in. They claimed about cleaning needs to be done (it’s done we know now) and need to do inventory check and get hold of the key from the cleaners …. They don’t even give any indication on when they will give the key ... Their agent never called back, she was “out of office” all the time we tried to get in touch with her today. My son need to start his employment on Monday, 100 miles away from home. He will be forced to move into a Hotel, for who knows how long or drive back and fore every day … or sleep in the car. Their negligence will cause serious financial loss to us and all they can say “we never agreed (in writing) about the move in date”. They just doesn’t care from the moment you paid the money and it doesn’t matter, what was verbally agreed. Yes, don’t believe the word they say. It is the best interest of yours to make sure you stay away from them!

Be cautious with this letting agent. I was unfairly charged for cleaning and issues that were already present when I moved in—and had also been reported by the previous tenant. Despite the complaints, no action was taken, and I was held responsible again. If you have no choice but renting through them, make sure to document everything thoroughly at check-in and ask for advice from previous tenants.

Martins &Co Bedford have been really helpful with finding leaseholders to sign up to our Right to manage.
Many of the leaseholders in the block use Martins as their service is excellent. We also let a house through them which was on recommendation. We weren’t disappointed! One of their strengths is quick responses which is really reassuring. Everything is dealt with in a professional and friendly manner. We would definitely recommend for lettings!

I currently rent a property through Martin & Co and had recently have been in touch regarding new carpets being fitted. We had a swift and detailed response from Cara Beckford. She was extremely polite throughout the process and made sure to keep us posted in regards to communication from the landlord. There was never any sign of reluctantly around proposing this to the Landlord, which is usually something other estate agents would do. We have since had an visit from the Landlord and have come to an agreement. I fed this back to the Landlord also, but wanted to highlight how much of an asset Cara is to your company and we are extremely grateful with the service she provided. 5*!

She always responds to my emails the same day, I have no worries as Diana is very competent and knows how to deal with all aspects of rental management. I really cant fault the service I have had with M&Co over the years. They take away the stress I would surely have if I tried to manage the properties myself.

We had this agency for 2 years. Unprofessional staff, booking appointments for gas certificate more than 3 times, engineer never arrived but we had to make cancel our plans for them and when I tried to explain is not convenient for us one appointment , Yasmin answer was "well we have the keys,we will go inside without your attendance" ...and we asked to have tenant witness on our application for every viewing or appointments.
Avoid this agency, completely unprofessional!!!!

When asking about the possibility of accepting a tenant on housing benefit, expect a hard no. They will not talk to you like a human or care about your situation - and there are many of us currently struggling due to the virus. Poor customer service and very unhelpful.

Called for information about a property. Apparently it's against company policy to tell any details of properties without first knowing every single detail of your life, I'm talking address, bank details the lot.
To top it off Michelle was extraordinarily rude. Told me it was her terms or I don't get a house.
Dumbness aside, who do you think you are? You work for an estate agents love!

Been with Martin & Co the last year, fantastic. So stress free compared to previous rental experiences. Couple problems with the cooker and white goods, sorted quickly and without fuss (Thanks Jasmine and Michelle!). Offer plenty of notice for the inspection, don't give me any hassle.
Staff are always polite, they never forget to call back or respond to an email. No complaints.

I initially called the office seeking some advice as I was having troubles with a tenant. I spoke to another agency before calling Martin & Co but no one seemed interested in helping. When I called this office I was passed through to Charlotte, and she took the time to listen and talked me through what options I have. She was really understanding and was able to answer any questions I had. Although the problems I had seemed never ending, she was always there and willing to help. She certainly knew her stuff and we now have fantastic new tenants and Martin & Co are our new managing agents. Highly recommend 5*

Moved into a flat that was left in a disgusting condition. Urine was left in the toilet which stunk up the property upon walking in for the first time. We had to shampoo the carpet before moving furniture in. We also extensively cleaned the kitchen and bathroom ourselves (including the toilet) - something that should have been done before having been handed the keys!
Over a week later and after immediately informing Martin & Co. of this, I was told by email that "Martin & Co, are not legally obliged to have the property professionally cleaned".

These are quite possibly the worst agents around. We were left without electricity for 3 days, hot water/ heating for 7 days and water for 2 days. They said just go to your friends house then, then they tried to take 75% of our deposit when we moved out. They are very shifty. Always check their extra charges and photograph everything when you move in and out. This has been a very steep and expensive learning curve. They come round whenever they want for a surprise inspection. They are rude and do not answer any queries you have. I found the women there to be worse than the men, especially if you are a woman complaining. They treated me and my partner like we were prisoners with no rights. Do not use, you have been warned.

Martin & Co are the worst lettings agents I have ever dealt with . in my the staff are
unprofessional and very rude, unhelpful when there are issues then never respond quickly we had to wait over one month for some one to come and fix the fences and the the kitchen light unite,
Be aware of them before you move in they make it for you 5 star service everything it is ok with no problems at all.
Be aware when you want to move out they will make it for you the hardest and the most expensive day for you even the inventory check you will pay for there staff to do for you.
When we moved in
- The fridge was dirty with fungi we did clean it our self.
-hole in the wall
- The bed and mattress very dirty we ask them to move it they never did even we have our bed and mattress.
- The carpets dirty smelling we clean it.
- Scratches on the doors and windows
- The paint everywhere in the kitchen
*** just to be aware all of this not listed on the inventory list and we have to pay money from our deposit when we check out.****
