I did appoint JBrown to sell my property in Bromley and I was very happy at the beginning about the way they approached me and how they worked to get the property on the market quickly.
Soon after they changed quite a lot in terms of communication, Zara used to reply randomly ( basically when she got a chance ) whilst Komal (owner)never replied to my emails.( she should learn how to deal with people).
Despite that was a clear sight of a lack of professionalism, I left things going ahead smoothly.
Zara kept me informed about the buyer's interest in seeing the property and I arranged access all the time.
Then I had to chase her to receive feedback from customers, she never made them aware of the outcome or sending any REPORT.
Even though I left them to carry on their job. They eventually got 2 offers and let me know to appoint a solicitor which I did.
Both times buyers pulled out and she never contacted me to let me know, on the contrary, I had to call to find out what happened.
I am still not sure if she really received any offers because I never received proof of that.
The 12-week agreement came to an end and I previously let them know by email that I would not renew the mandate( no response at all as usual).
Finally, I chased them again to remove my property from the market but they either removed it or replied to my emails.
After 2 weeks of waiting for them I decided to contact Rightmove, and Zoopla etc explain the matter and they removed the property immediately.
This morning magically I received an email
From Zara saying that my property has now been removed!
You are a team of liars, hopefully, people will be away from such an unprofessional “Estate Agency”.. I lost time but you lost quite a lot of money. That's what you deserve!!!... Read more

1/2: We as the tenant at property managed in Beckenham and would like to file a formal complaint against Jbrown Estate Agents and the Landlord.
We have previously expressed our concerns and dissatisfaction over the outstanding work which we have requested since we moved into the property on 3rd April 2023. There were numerous phone calls, WhatsApp messages shared with the agent " J " (for legal reasons only first letters of names are mention in this review) who showed us the property. The day we got the keys, we made a detailed videos of the issues that were immediately evident and forwarded it to James who did nothing to resolve the issue.
We then towards the end of the year 2023 started communicating via email and phone calls with Z, H and . Z and H never even bothered to call us back to discuss those issues and never set a time frame to resolve those issues.
Early January 2024 when we mentioned during a phone call to the office of JBrown to one of the male colleague (don't remember the name) of Z and H and mention that we would be putting a detailed review of their service to us on company website and on google only then a phone call came from S who introduced themselves as a senior manager and discussed the issues verbally and promised to get them sorted.
They asked me to forward her emails that were sent to Z and H, which I did at a later date but mentioned all the issues. All those issues are still outstanding, except that we were sent a plumber who changed the plug in the bathtub and nothing else. This continues to be the same as he had discovered the source of the leak at more than one point. One he fixed by changing the plug but others are awaiting subject to landlord and agency approval (according to the plumber).
Surprisingly, I received a message from S on my WhatsApp on 29th February 2024 , " Hi , Hope you are well. I know the plumber came out to fix the bath which is now sorted. Can you confirm if there is anything outstanding". Just to mention that there were more than 6 issued raised in email forwarded to them.
To us this is a big joke as all the outstanding work which I number listed in my email to Z, H and later forwarded to S were not even looked at. We believe that no one even communicated to discuss this matter.
We have offered that we could get the work done by ourselves from registered tradesmen and deduct money from the rent and provide them invoices for all the work. It would cost the landlord much less than the agency would cost to the landlord. But have not had any response.
We have since been told that the matter would be passed onto even more senior managers and sorted. I really hope that before we sign the tenancy , these matters will be sorted.
To date we have not heard from Z who has been office manager for quite a bit of time as mentioned by J who was the previous manager or by any of the senior management team who were mentioned in our conversation with S.
Just to mention that we have not been given the landlord's contact details , otherwise we could have had a different outcome towards resolving these issues. .
We would like to have a home visit so that we could show you all the issues mentioned in the email below dated 28/12/2023 to Z. We have asked for a home visit in our emails previously but it has been ignored completely.
The only option that we are left with is to seek legal help to get the services that we should be provided and for which we have paid on time without missing or even delaying a single rent payment.... Read more

The most dreadful experience of my life, I had nothing but issues in my apartment at 12 The Ridge way, have so many issues since move in still not resolved! The building has had a improvement notice from the council and J Brown are still continuing to work with the landlord and rent out apartments. I would avoid these at all cost! if they had any integrity they would of parted ways with the landlord.... Read more

Had nothing but issues since renting with them. From leaks and damp, unsafe stairs to hot & cold water water incorrectly plumbed and dangerously hot. Lack of communication on multiple instances, especially when it comes to addressing serious concerns & issues. They blame the landlord, the landlord blames them - nothing gets sorted. Lots of issues with right now. Renting Aveline on the ridge way in Croydon and it’s problem after problem. JBrown used to be great when we rented in Greenwich but for 12 the ridge way, it has been so poor. Leaks, mould, sewage, fire alarms, wrong electrical wiring, 3 bedroom instead of 4 as advertised, sharp building materials in the garden. Nothing is sorted after 6 months of chasing. Landlord comes inside the property whenever he wants and JBrown doesn’t do anything.... Read more
