I would suggest a 6 star to Jones Robinson when they have high rated stars in their galaxy. One of them is clearly Clare Black,the brightest of the star, a highly professional and customer oriented lady. No word could describe her customers oriented service I received. I have to say that they over delivered on my expectations. Working with the whole team was a dream. They were knowledgeable, quick and always available to answer questions for when things get stressful.
I worked with Paul Evans who was incredibly knowledgeable and I felt very well looked after. After the sale was agreed I was able to work with Caroline Maddock on progressing the sale and she is an absolute superstar. I looked at a few estate agents in Newbury but Jones Robinson are by far the best for their responsiveness. They are great at answering your questions and get back to you quickly if they are unavailable. What is really nice is that they know all their customers well- whoever answers the phone knows you and the situation! They give great advice too and without a doubt I would recommend Lucy C on the lettings team to let out your property. She got people through the door to let it before it was even marketed. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Myself and my husband bought a property through Jones Robinson and we were really happy with everything they did. We mainly dealt with Paula who was amazing and I'm sure without her we wouldn't have moved in time to miss the stamp duty holiday. She was always there to talk to and was very understanding and helpful in what turned out to be a difficult chain. Paula is definitely the reason it all worked out in the end. I bought a property through Jones Robinson and I have to say the service provided was second to none.
Someone was always available on the phone or via email, and all questions were answered promptly.
We had a bit of a nightmare throughout the whole process but Paula was always doing her best to chase and keep things moving in the right direction. In an environment where solicitors seem to be unable to contact each other, the people at Jones Robinson go above and beyond in this aspect, making sure updates are always available.
Everyone who I dealt with was a pleasure to talk to, I honestly have nothing but praise for the team.

I was looking for the perfect place, just like everyone else, but couldn't find the right one, the one where you enter and feel "this is it!". The main problem was in general with the agencies, agents especially, I know a very sad thing. But when I was almost to give up on everything, I found some properties with Jones Robinson and then I found the perfect one! What was amazing, the help I got was beyond expectations. Lisa was one of the most kind and nice agents I got to talk to. She was so patient with me and helped with everything I needed to know and needed to do. And I could really feel she was involved and cared about my needs. You got to love and appreciate that. I am so happy with the beautiful place I got, I don't even know how to explain! Excellent company to do business with, doesn't matter which member of staff as they are all really professional but with a personal touch too, although we always ask for Lettings Manager Sian who never fails us and is always just a call away for advice on Lettings even when it was a family members flat miles in London miles out of the area and with a different agent, this is customer service and going the extra mile.
We have used them to find new tenants more than 12 times now, Jones Robinson have always found a tenant for us within a couple of days, 50% of the time within hours of going on the market.
They are now perhaps a little more expensive than others but maybe you get what you pay for here.

Their sales team, as well as their letting agents, are professional and knowledgable and responded to all questions in a timely manner. First time Im renting from this agency. The offers are almost the best and the flats are nice for the price, Although I had my worst experience with them. I arranged my first viewing on 24/09/2020 at 10:15 and they confirmed my viewing by email. The night before my viewing I called the agent and I asked her if she is 100% coming for viewing and I even explained that I come from another city and will be on the way around 3 hours to get there. I took a day off work and went all the way to Newbury but no agent was there!!!! I called the agency and the agent only apologized that they forgot to email me and cancel the appointment since someone else took the flat. I was literally crying on the way home. I had lots of things to do at work. I lost lots of money buying ticket to Newbury, taking a day off work, plus the energy I wasted. It is really inconsiderate and irresponsible not being bothered to even email and cancel an appointment. Specially because I emphasized that I came from a far city. After that I found good offers in the website and I went and viewed a couple of other properties. This time my agent was quite helpful. Although when I called her and asked her if she can speed up the procedure since it’s getting too late, she answered that she is in a rush and has lots of things to do and can’t do this faster only because I’m in a rush, the concept in fair enough but the way she talked was a bit rude and not appropriate. In general the offers this agency has, are good but the staff are not as professional as they should be. I think if u find the same offer in any other agency, definitely go for the other one.

I just wanted to leave a review to commend the service I received as a first time single buyer. I contacted Jones Robinson in May regarding wanting to explore my options and originally spoke to Mollie who went above and beyond for me. In fact, every member of the team I met with and spoke to either over the phone or on email made the whole searching process easy. The calls were informative and helpful, all criteria's were acknowledged and understood so there was no repeating, in a nut-shell they really listened.
I originally contacted all other estate agents in the Newbury area and I either got no response or a very, very delayed, lacklustre response. I felt as if the people at Jones Robinson actually cared about the people they were helping to find properties, not just the usual sales jargon! There was no questions that were trouble and every time I engaged with anyone at Jones Robinson I felt that their customer service superseded all other estate agents. I cannot rate them enough. It can be stressful and nerve-wracking buying your own property, especially for the first time independently, but everyone at Jones Robinson were always available to assist.
Special mentions to Mollie, who was delightful, thoughtful and made the process a lot less daunting - suggesting a variety of schemes and properties that would be suited to me personally. Also Beth, Amber and Andrew for assisting with getting me booked in and showing me around the properties. Every time I would call up the staff were always cheerful and happy to help, which makes such a big difference. I would also like to commend them for making the viewings possible and easy despite the pandemic as they provided clear guidelines. To reiterate, their cheerfulness in this uncertain time made every viewing a more pleasant experience.
Jones Robinson certainly outshone all the other estate agents in Newbury, I will be sure to recommend them and use them again in the future.

Highly Professional letting services, automated processes in place made the moving journey simpler right from reference check to physical move into the property. Very helpful and trained staff, eager to support client at their best. However there were some teething problems in the property that were resolved via raising support tickets in the begining and then follow ups that was frustrating. This could be dealt on phone call provisioned for brand new tenant for few days being part of their customer service rather looping them in formal incident raising process. Apart from this everything was brilliant and I highly recommend them.

Throughout, we have found them to be professional, honest and hardworking. They have responded to queries promptly while being polite and respectful. This contrasts with our experience with another property managed on our behalf by a national company. This company displayed a lack of local knowledge, empathy, initiative and a poor attitude – exactly the opposite of our experience with Charlotte and Anna.

I can thoroughly recommend the Jones Robinson team at the Marlborough office. From my first visit to the office where I met Michael Simpson, to the market appraisal he carred out at my home, I felt I was in safe hands. Definitely, The best lettings agency I've ever dealt with, Regardless of all the calls and trouble I've given them, they've always given me that helping hand in all situations. They made all background processes simpler and eased the moving in process. never had such a swift experience with any other lettings agency. Vanessa (Lettings Consultant) did an amazing job and made this process much better.
Not just that, the personalized card included (in the moving in pack) certainly made my day.

My dealings with Jones Robinson started with the Newbury office but became the first property taken into the books of the new Marlborough office in early January 2019. Great guidance and advice from Michael Simpson and just a different way of marketing properties at realistic values to get a sale. Many other properties in our village have not moved for a year to two years so most likely over priced. Agreed a strategy with Michael and property sold with 6 DAYS. Exchange and completion of sale done in 6 weeks all finished by 22nd March 2019. First sale for the Marlborough office I believe. Would thoroughly recommend the Marlborough office to sell any property in the area. Cannot speak too highly of Michael and his team.

The service they provide is less than half a star.
They will do absolutely nothing after you enter the property. Before you enter they will look like they want to help you. But they won't really.
After you pay the deposit the mask falls.
They won't even reply to your e mails, one person will pass one the "issue" to the other or the manager with an endless procedure. Nobody is having the same information with an other. No one is taking ownership for not replying or for the many issues of the property.
For instance they have a number to call on Saturdays for emergencies and when you call there is another message saying that the offices are closed.
They say that we breach the contract and they ask money for imaginary fees. They attach the hole contract so if you are naive and you do not have time to go through the hole contract you pay the money.
They also do think of your time costs for moving back and forth to their offices they will call you to go but they will forget to tell you they need your passport for example so you go back and forth for no reason whatsoever. Just for their own amusement.
We are currently unfortunately living in one of their properties we have told them the boiler is not working properly. Instead of sending a person to take care of it they sent a "contractor" who "fixed" it for 5 days and now on a Saturday the boiler is again broken.
For sure we will have to move again shortly to escape their ignorance and bad service but from now on I would be a person who will always say the worst for their agency based on my one and a half really bad experience.

I found a premium house in Newbury and was a little surprised to find it being sold by Jones Robinson but in hindsight I'm delighted - Paul and his team couldn't have been more helpful. It took just 5 weeks from first viewing to exchange.

Things they know up front may not be disclosed and they may assume you should be an expert in the housing market and know things yourself. Otherwise you can get half way through the process and get paperwork from the solicitor with key information that could have been disclosed upfront. This in turn caused stress and delays that could have easily been avoided and dealt with upfront.
Add to this seemingly poor management of the seller in ensuring prompt responses coming back, yes they may have been in a poor connectivity area but it caused delays and could have been managed better in my view.
Would I buy through again? Probably not.

Really unhappy with their property management services who is not even bothering for settling end of tenancy. Once moved in they failed to get back to me multiple times with queries and request. I'm still waiting on ALL my questions...

We rented with Jones Robinson (Newbury) from 2015 to 2017 and I have to say, their service was impeccable from start to finish. You really do feel as though the admin fees are well worth the money with them. We had a designated agent, Alex Harrison who by far exceeded our expectations. He always replied promptly to any issues we had with the property and also ensured our check out was as smooth as possible. He was always polite and courteous and would go out of his way to ensure we were happy. With most agencies, they tend to favour the landlord more than the tenant when it comes to any dispute. However, we found Jones Robinson (in particular) Alex very impartial and fair. Whether or not they had more of an obligation to the landlord, we didn't feel that way. He had no obligation to help us resolve our deposit dispute, but still went over and beyond to make sure both sides were happy with the end result.
Even after we had moved, Alex still went over and beyond for us. We had accidentally ordered some very large (heavy) items to our old address and Alex went out of his way to collect them from the old address (single handily) and arrange for us to collect them all at a time suitable for us. We were really impressed with this.
I honestly can't fault Jones Robinson at all. If you are a Landlord or a tenant, be sure that you will get a top service from them from start to finish. I can see now why they have won so many awards!

They showed a dedication and tenaciousness from start to finish, above and beyond what I would have expected from a first point of contact. I have found the staff (James, Toyah and Karen) to be very helpful and most importantly they have communicated efficiently the information that I needed to prepare a short list of proceedable properties. Their management of all these processes is very well organised, and takes the strain out of the everyday issues which can occur. I was a tenant with Jones Robinson managing my tenancy for 2 and a half years. During that time my Property Manager was Anna and i can honestly say she was the best agent we have ever dealt with.
Always solving any maintenance issues we had and was more than helpful during the deposit release at the end of our tenancy.

Every time a new property came to the market that matched our criteria he would call me straight away – as well as being really flexible when arranging viewings.
We ended up buying out of the area in Wantage which Jones Robinson don’t cover but if they covered Wantage, we would have certainly bought through them!’’

In a world of increasing in-personal and homogenised communication, Anna has really made me feel at home every step of the way. Even down to her genuine empathy expressed when I missed an inspection due to a train issue!
Yes, rent from Jones Robinson because they have the right property for you, but I can assure you the best bit comes when property management (Anna) get involved!

We at BGM Heating and Plumbing work closely with Jones Robinson Lettings, we carry out Gas related servicing, inspections, repairs, installations and other related services.
We all enjoy working with Jones Robinson and have built close working relationships with the lettings team. Despite them being so busy managing the many properties in their care we have no problem making contact. We find their online management systems very efficient and we receive a lot of positive feedback from their tenants wile working in their homes.
