House sales are not always smooth, but Emma and her team were with us all the way and kept us sane. As well as an excellent service our dog liked Emma and she was nice to our hound so that says a lot.

I can only speak to my own experience of course.... I found Michael Poole to be truly awful. Reasons being:
I conducted all of the viewings myself, nobody from Michael Poole ever turned up.
Despite the fact the house wasn't selling, they never even put up a for-sale sign or called to discuss why it wasn't selling. I had to chase and chase.
6-9 Months with them and all I would get was a text, and they always got my name wrong.
I had to pull feedback from them, rather than them offering after viewings.
I would get updates about the sales that were simply incorrect or weeks out of date.
The only reason it actually sold is because the buyer contacted me through Airbnb about the property as Michael Poole were not passing on her communications and her intent to buy.
They took money for doing nothing, just being a post box for communications, and they didn't even do that well.
All of the above can be easily and objectively proven, point being they're not just a miscommunication or personal gripe. If there was an option to rate 0 stars, I would.
Strongly recommend choosing a different agent and avoiding Michael Poole.

My elderly parents purchased a property from Poole's. It was a complex transaction due to some unique factors but Helen (Sales Progression) was just amazing.
She was always available to speak to, was proactive in getting updates from the various parties and was a huge support to me and my parents.

Overall I found Michael Poole ok. Photos and the advert for the property were good. I was disappointed with the lack of communication in terms of performance of the adverts, and options I may be able to take to speed up the sale of the property. I felt it was just left to sell itself, or at least I was not updated as to otherwise.

Excellent service from Michael Poole from the outset for a reasonable fee. Chris came out to value our property and take photos. The quality of the photos is excellent. When I compare these to the photos taken when I bought my property these are considerably better and presented my home beautifully.
Kirby and the team kept me updated with viewings/offers with text and email confirmations so I could always keep track.
All staff have been very friendly and professional.

Had a brilliant service with my previous sale. But stupidly we went with a different EA this time. After the sale fell through we had MP back round again. They valued it lower than currently listed even though it had previously sold for asking price with multiple offers. But we agreed to instruct them again after the 2 week notice ran out anyway. In those remaining 2 weeks with my original EA, we sold it again for full asking price. I emailed the valuer to inform him and said I would contact them again if anything fell through. I received no email back, nothing. Perhaps just an acknowledgement would have been nice! Unfortunately the house has fallen through again due to no fault of ours, the house or price. But, I won't instruct them this time. I massively value customer service and an email back would have literally taken 5 minutes. Small things like this are important to us.

What a lovely helpful department. Sophie and Helen were great.
They both were always there to answer any questions or to support me in any way through the purchasing process which they didn't have to do but were more than happy to do so.
They helped me so much when I didn't understand certain stages, they explained everything as we went along. They also told me what I should be expecting from my solicitors and when to push things along.

The valuer (Jan Westbury), decided to turn up to value my house in Redcar. Whilst he was outside of my house, the office rang to say that they did not want to value the house as it was on with another agent. I had taken time off work and wasted my time! I called the office and the staff were rude and lied saying that Jan was not there despite me seeing him. Staff lied and refused to say sorry. I had taken the business to the property ombudsman who agreed they had made a mistake and awarded compensation of £100. Avoid at all costs!

I had an unusual site to sell, land and outbuildings, and a number of estate agents were uninterested in the sale. Seeing a Michael Poole for sale board on another unusual property I thought I would give them a call and I'm so glad I did.
A site visit was arranged within a couple of days and Jan gave us a valuation the following day and recommended putting the property to auction.
His estimate of the auction sale price was spot on and within a month the property was sold.
Our children have left home and we intend downsizing in the near future. I will be asking Jan and his team to sell our house and hope to buy a smaller home through Michael Poole.
