Selling houses can be a pretty stressful but Neil King did everything possible did make the process easier. They were patient and dilgent and we really appreciated the communication throughout. Having a WhatsApp group was such a simple way to keep everyone in the loop and ensure speedy responses on both sides. We felt like the advice we got was sound throughout, and in the end we had a successful sale within quite a tight timeframe. Would definitely recommend!

Would highly recommend Neil King Residential to anyone trying to purchase a home. As first time buyer we have no idea of the process however the support and patience we had from Neil King residential estate agency was well above and beyond our expectations.
If you want an honest no-nonsense estate agent who you can trust completely then choose Neil King residential estate agency . Laura and Andrew from Theydon Bois branch was so supportive from start to finish and always been super patient especially when aspects of the sale became quite challenging.

I enthusiastically recommend Neil King’s outstanding team. They are a collective ‘safe pair of hands’ -- incredibly professional, listen and communicate intently and transparently to build a trust-based relationship, and have exceeded my expectations without a fault time after time.
They first left a positive impression some years ago when we were relocating to South Woodford and viewed one of their listings. After some passage of time, we were sent overseas for work and called on them to let out and manage our flat.
Having sorted that flawlessly, whilst getting us back in our home during a tricky time mid-Pandemic, there was no question who we were ringing up to sell up when we recently decided the time was right to climb the property ladder.
We were all the more fortunate to have also found our new home from Neil King’s portfolio, which was particularly satisfying given his team had gotten to know us and what we were looking for so well and had given us quite valuable counsel on our buying position in the broader local market.
The team made progression on both transactions as smooth sailing and stress-free as could be possible --- judging against my traumatic memory of our first step onto the ladder. And when a totally unforeseeable and uncontrollable development occurred between exchange and completion was when they showed true mettle and calmed the waters to a successful conclusion.
To sum it up, just call Neil King’s team for a “no regrets” experience!

BE WARY OF THE COMPANY USING COOKIES TO LOOK AT THEIR EMAIL TRAILS.
I found Andrew unprofessional and very arrogant in his demeanour. Had a call from him confirming acceptance of offer (whilst stating that he knows that I have seen the email). I had not had the chance to read the email properly of acceptance and Andrew failed to understand that I was busy with commitments at that moment in time and had not been able to speak to my partner who was in meetings in regards to the great news and also email him back at the time. However, in an element of being transparent I explained we had other viewings booked for weekend coming as was not sure if the offer would be accepted. Andrew stated that he had been TRACKING my viewings of the EMAILS AND HOW MANY TIMES I HAD VIEWED IT. Why would you want to track and check how many times a person has read an email??!!
He responded with an email to state that he had already spoken to the vendor to state that I was not interested or committed to the property, based on the assumption that I had viewing PREbooked for other properties and therefore retracted the offer.
I then explained that I had been happy to accept the offer, but needed to communicate with partner. I tried to explain that I had not been able to discuss this with my partner and he always tried to speak over me. VERY ARGUMENTATIVE AND PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE. Not sure how the customer service works here. If it was explained that he was going to speak to the vendor regarding the ASSUMPTION of me not being interested I WOULD have explained at the time that I was willing to cancel the PREplanned booking. I called back later to explain how there was a misunderstanding but basically BLAMED me for having not showing commitment to the offer. If I was not interested in a property WHY would I put an offer on it??
The company presents itself as a professional agent, but is unfortunately let down by Andrew. I have been looking for 4 month for a property and not been spoken to or treated in this manner by another agent. I hope they are able to reflect on this and understand that we all want a property but do not need to be pressurised and need estate agents to push buyers making honest decisions about our future and large financial commitments.

Neil is a gent - takes his time to listen and advises.. Neil is great with clients viewing houses - integration with customer puts all at ease.. Now Neil's has one last job - find me a nice.house......

We dealt with a lot of estate agents in our house search and Neil King were by far the most unpleasant to deal with. Rude and aggressive with buyers. He drives prices up and up to boost his ego but this is often for false gains as so many of his house sales fall through. We spotted 4-5 houses that we had strong offers rejected go back on the market 2 months later - no doubt because the buyer pulled because they realised they had overpaid and been played a fool. No doubt this review will receive a passive aggressive response from the owner like the other ones claiming that I don’t exist because that’s the rude and condescending way they treat buyers.

Pretty unpleasant to deal with. Initially helpful when we couldn’t make the viewing due to an early delivery of our baby and gave us a virtual viewing. Was very stressful during the bidding process where you’re told the top offer which felt like prices were being driven up. After some clarification was needed on our chain (which we spent the entire day chasing) we had an offer accepted on a place and an email of confirmation only to be called within an hour rejecting the offer and telling us it was our fault based on our chain - which was known before being put forward.
We understand these things happen but the way it was dealt with felt rude and unprofessional. Seeing how they respond to other negative reviews it seems they don’t take on feedback but having dealt with many agents in and outside London this has been by far our worst experience and I would avoid in future.

At times there were bumps in the road - which is inevitable when buying a house - but Andrew and Neil always went out of their way to smooth these. It is difficult to put in to words just how good these guys are. From start to finish (and this is the second time we have sold a property through Neil King), their professionalism, support and kindness has been second to none. Honestly, having dealt with some shockers when purchasing, these guys are the best around. Neil went above and beyond to market our property so that we got the maximum value and Andrew pushed the sale through, essentially managing the whole chain, by the stamp duty deadline which was an incredible fete given how awful some of the other agents and solicitors were! Despite endless legislation and recommendations made to Parliament over the last 20-30 years, it is so disappointing that agents like Neil King still exist. Limited knowledge and experience compounded by a deeply patronising and condescending manner make for a distinctly unpleasant experience. The advantages of DIY or discounted sales agents far outweigh anything this 'fly by night' agent can bestow.

Successfully bought a property through Neil King. Whilst there were hiccups along the way due to issues unrelated to Neil King, the team at Neil King Residential maintained good professionalism throughout the process despite the difficult situation that we were in, as the transaction involved several chains.
Miriam who showed me around the property was very friendly, enthusiastic and made me felt at ease to ask questions. She seemed to also have good local knowledge and I was also given the space to view the property at my own pace.
The negotiation process was handled perfectly by Andrew. In addition, he was very much on top of things and was always available to swiftly answer any queries that I had. In general, I felt that the team at Neil King was working cohesively given that there weren't any instances of miscommunication and things were done when they said they would.
On the property listing, I really liked the idea of the 3D and video tour - goes to show that they are willing to go far to assist their customers to market the property well. I will not hesitate to recommend Neil King to any other potential buyers/sellers looking to buy/sell their property, particularly in the South Woodford area.

And we will never go back there! Horible service and manners. Will not recommended to nobody. Very poor service when I was a tenant at a flat let by Lauren Dabner at Neil king. Very aggressive manner from the staff once we agreed rental. We paid on time, have good references, but were given a dangerous letting property by this company. There was an electrical fault causing the boiler to explode and the builders they employed took 2 week with dry dust etc with us living there to fix it. This had occurred prior to us as well but no information. No compensation. Rude messages with aggression towards pregnant tenant previously from Neil King. Really just after money, no people skills. As a landlord as well as a tenant I would not rent my property portfolio via them. Highly unprofessional, have been reported to ombudsman.
