Just over a year ago we moved my mother in law into an assisted living apartment. Northwoods handled the sale of her house, her home of 52 years and were the agents for the apartment. Understandably my mother in law was very anxious and worried about the move. But right from the very first meeting, Cheryl put my mother in law at ease and was so kind and loving to her.
Sadly move forward a year and my mother in law passed away and it was up to Cheryl and her team to sell the apartment. Again understandably my wife was so upset but Cheryl showed the same compassion to her as she did my mother in law. In fact the whole team have been so lovely and of course so professional. They kept us up to date at every turn and made the whole process so smooth.
You get a lovely feeling when you go into the office and it’s matched by their professionalism. Thank you to the whole team at Northwoods.

I had a few estate agents come and value my property before choosing to go with Northwood.
Cheryl was so honest and amazing and supportive from day one. Didn't sugarcoat anything unlike other agents. The price was fair and again she was upfront about this.
I loved her honesty from day one. She also understood that I suffer with anxiety and literally her and her team held my hand throughout the whole process!
The Thorne team are very knowledgeable and professional and I honestly wouldn't have been able to get through the stress of selling my house without them!
Very professional. Quick to respond to emails. Easy to talk yo on the phone.

I recently had a horrible experience renting through this rental agency. Despite promptly filling out all the necessary paperwork, they ignored our form. Their communication was absurdly poor. The agents looked us straight in the eye and lied to us. It was very frustrating to deal with such an unprofessional company providing terrible service.
Other agency I have spoken to have been an order of magnitude better - responsive, efficient and honest. providing terrible service.

Cheryl knows the area inside out so we were able to put our house on the market with confidence we had chosen the best person to represent our property and get the maximum value. Cheryl really knows her stuff and gave us really sound advice throughout allowing us to make informed decisions.

Recently tried to rent a new property to facilitate a relocation with work and have found the employees I dealt with over email and phone to be incredibly incompetent. I had filled out forms in a prompt manner and was to discover days after that they had been ignored / lost. Ridiculously bad communication, in which I would not be aware that my application was not successful or that a property was no longer available up to a week later. It is a shame that This letting agents seem to get a majority of the business as I have found that every other Letting agency I contacted was miles better and very helpful.

I’ve been looking for properties now for quite some time, Cheryl and her team could not have been more helpful. Constantly updating me with properties that are on the market and even those they aren’t available to view or even listed. They are professional, proactive and extremely friendly. I would highly recommend these girls at the Thorne office as it has been a pleasurable experience and a lot less stressful than anticipated.

Lindsey is helping us with our purchase of Alder Grove, and I am so happy with everything she is doing for us.
We have had a bit of hassle with solicitors that has meant it hasn't been plain sailing - with some delays and a lot of stress. However, Lindsey and her team have been there every step of the way, they have been professional yet approachable and have helped us gain clarity when needed.
When it felt like things weren't progressing how we needed them to, Lindsey stepped up, being the go-between for our solicitors and the sellers (a task I really wouldn't want) and has really ensured that we have felt we have someone on our side helping us through.
We might not have had the smoothest journey (not Northwoods fault at all!) and Northwood have really been amazing!

I recently sold my property through Northwood and I can't fault Cheryl for the work she did getting photos and preparing the brochure. I had a property with no chain, but did have a small section of garden owned by the council. Although we were going through adverse possession with the solicitors (and it is now granted) I don't think the situation with the land went as well as it could have, as we had a couple of bumps in the road - but all in all, the property was sold at the asking price which was great! Thanks to Claire as well for her patience with such a long-winded process, it should have been a quick one if it weren't for the pesky bit of land so i appreciate your time and patience with it all! :)
