Me and my partner have been with various letting agencies in the past, all have been horrific, but Peter Allan by far has been amazing. We’re so pleased to finally be with a decent letting agency that actually cares about tenants, Abbie dealt with us the most and was so patient and helpful with the whole procedure, she made it incredibly stress free by keeping us up to date with everything, we now live in a peaceful area in a beautiful home we love and are so grateful!

Honestly I don’t know what their issue is but constant calls and voicemails from this branch asking if I need help selling my house. No I do not, I have never had a house to sell so STOP calling me. I block the numbers but yet they will call of another number. It’s harassment and over the last 4 years it’s ridiculous!

5 STAR REVIEW!! I just rented a property with this branch and everything went through perfectly , Caitlyn and Abbie were absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t recommend enough honestly , they both showed great team work and were awesome , everyone else in the office was so polite and asked me how my day was going and made the effort towards me , I dropped my walking stick and the gent picked it back up for me so kind! As an elderly pensioner I’m not the best with understanding how renting works with the terminology for things but Caitlyn went through everything step by step with me and made the process to easy, Thanks so much again will definitely rent again with you guys!

She will not (typically) tell you what you want to hear but the truth, which is what you need during this process

Do not ever use this company for your lettings management, I used them for 2 of my rentals for 2 years, after 1 year I realised this was a mistake and tried to cancel and they hoodwinked me to stay by offering me a refund of the management which never came and was ignored. They even tried to get maintenance jobs done for astronomical prices, so I ended up sorting the by myself and still paid their full management. Every month they just deducted rent money for anything they saw fit including an automatic paper statement of their deductions from me!!!!. After I did eventually leave they then tried to use their terms to threaten me stay even though I had already given written notice. My new agent has been a breath of fresh air in comparison and I would never us Peter Allan again.

Hi there, this branch is the worst , just want to get my honest opinion to help other landlords I had 4 houses with Peter Alan , they have been completely useless, & added more and more stress of non-stressful situation ! I’ve moved my houses now to Landlord, letting agents is the best thing I’ve ever done with half the fees & stress 90% of the time you can’t get all of them, and when you do, they’re completely useless anyway except for one girl who is amazing she’s the best there by 500%Her name is Lily Dawson, she works in Culver house cross in Cardiff id giver her 5star i personally think she should find somewhere else to work because they are rubbish & she deserves better & is too good to work in a dump like Peter Alan p.s avoid letting your house with this rubbish company at all costs !!!!! Tc all & take note

I instructed them to sell my house on Wednesday 6th September. Did not receive a copy of the contract until the 12th January, some 18 weeks into the 20-week contract, despite at least two previous requests, though you would assume providing a copy of a contract was the most basic thing to provide a client...apparently not according to Peter Alan.
On Monday 11th September, the For Sale sign went up.
Thursday 14th September, Charlotte came and took pictures. It took until Tuesday 19th September for the ad to be uploaded.
On Wednesday 27th September I contacted Charlotte to ask if I could send new photos. She told me that would be fine, and that she’d be back in the office at 3pm, as if to say if I sent them over by then she could look at them and get them uploaded. I had also asked for the report I was offered on how many hits the ad was receiving.
On Thursday 28th September, after having to ask if the photos had sent alright, Charlotte responded, stating she had had a busy morning of appointments and to send over the photos as attachments. This was at 3:57pm.
Not 90 minutes later (5:14pm to be precise) I received an out-of-office to my first of 3 planned emails of photos, to tell me Charlotte was away until the 12th October, a further 2 WEEKS later! Talk about crafty!
I called and spoke with Lee, who was covering from the Aberdare branch, straight away, unhappy with this of course. He offered his email address so I could send the new photos over. I sent them straight over and asked for him to confirm they’d been received OK. I never received a reply from him.
I visited the branch on Saturday the 30th September to further complain, and found just one member of staff in the whole branch, the Lettings manager, who initially asked me to come back 20 minutes later because of him having a client and being on his own. I did this. He apologised and offered to come out to my house on Tuesday 3rd October, to take new photos and forward my complaint to the area sales manager. The complaint was forwarded and I was assured the property would be given a premium listing with the new photos uploaded once taken. All of this happened.
On Tuesday the 10th October, 34 days after initially instructing you to sell my house, the ad was FINALLY updated. Although the presentation of the house was not what we would ideally have liked to portray (but it was what it was at the time), I was surprised at the choice of highlights uploaded to our ad, considering the ones not used which he showed me and actually looked quite good. The photo showing our toilet was particularly baffling.
I then spoke with the branch on Friday 13th October at 2pm, to be told for about the 3rd time, I would be sent a report on the website hits the ad was receiving, within 30 minutes. Once again, I had to call on Saturday 14th October at 9:45am as I had not received this- another failed promise. I was also told that apparently Jack was looking at possibly sending the house for auction which was news to me! Charlotte apologised for the lack of communication (again), and a report was sent to me straight away, and the house price was dropped from as I’d asked the day before to be done and that wasn’t done either. I was told the new ad would be circulated to investors as well as go to those whose budget went up to the new amount. I was also told I’d receive a follow-up call by around Wednesday 18th October with how the new ad was performing, however my husband came in to the branch while he was in Pontypridd on Tuesday 17th, to see if there was any update on the off-chance. He was told there were not viewings booked or expressions of interest, and the person he spoke with then, said I’d now receive an update by the end of the week. He was also told the ad would be circulated to investors. (Why, if it was done supposedly on the Saturday?) As nobody seems to work at the branch on a Saturday, I expected this call by Friday 20th October. I called at 2pm for an update and Charlotte told me someone was due to call me that afternoon anyway. She said there had still been no interest, so she’d call some people from their target list to try and get some feedback, then call me back 30 mins-1 hour later. 11 days later and there was still no call.
Peter Alan in Neath called asking how I was getting on with the sale of our house, and I explained the situation which they apologised but was as far as they went, confirming one branch has nothing to do with the other. I called and went to answerphone, requested a callback. No callback. I called back and spoke with Emma, who told me there was nothing she could do about ending the contract sooner than 25th January other than take house off their website. 8 weeks will be the 24th January, not the 25th. I have asked for the complaint process to be sent to me 4pm 1st November.
Emma called back and confirmed my email address to me incorrectly! This will how a lot of the issues were caused all along, yet I’d raised with Charlotte on the 14th October whether there may be an issue with the email address spelling, and nothing was said about it then. On the 27th December I sent them 4 weeks notice, to which they immediately removed the property from their sales channels altogether, as they can't tell the difference between the date one gives notice and the date at the end of a 4-week notice period.
Also, when I finally had that copy of the contract I'd asked for, my surname was spelt wrong in yet another way to the ways mentioned at the top of this review! Talk about incompetent!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE AVOID PETER ALAN IF YOU WANT TO SELL YOUR HOUSE! NB: Also, don't buy from them either. The crafty lot failed to disclose the house we wanted from Neath had Japanese knotweed growing, yet the auction house it's now with was more than happy to tell me without batting an eyelid.

The review below by Carly Glass is a fully accurate representation of Peter Alan Pontypridd. I never intended to be a landlord, but found myself in that situation. Living away, I thought best to have someone manage that for me, and that was Peter Alan.
Started off well. As the years have gone on though, things have got worse. Now instead of managing it, they prove to be inept at best, and at worst, completely avoiding me. I have not had an inspection of my property for over three years, despite it being in the contract of an annual report.
I am not the "typical" landlord, wanting more money. I just want to know that my tenants are keeping my house in a considerate condition. The impression Peter Alan give me is that they are happy to take your management fee every month, but do precious little to earn it.

Really helpful people. Luke who was on his own the Saturday the we popped in was brilliant. As we're moving to the area and don't know alot, but Luke was more than happy to help us look at areas of interest on a map and then discuss commuting times and what were in the areas. Also Lee who was the guy who showed us around the house we were interested in was great too.

I was a Tenant and it was a terrifying experience. In 10 years of renting with other agencies, never had any problems, always received references. They don't solve problems. I received my deposit after about 2 months after many emails and open dispute. The rental contract has never been respected even in the essential points. I was for months in the cold, inadequate heating, 15 year old boiler failure and with rats in the garden. Not recommended for both Tenants and Landlords. I will stay very far from Peter Alan. I feel like a victim of a Fraud and scam. I wasted a lot of money to have nothing and suffer me and my family.

Peter Alan are the most amazing housing agency ever , From the 1st day i walked into the office at pontypridd the smiles and welcome i got is amazing. Literally the worst Estate Agent I’ve ever worked with. If you choose to sell your house with them, make sure you check every detail in the contract because if you don’t like them, you’re stuck with them. Even when you’re out of contract with them, you still have to give a months notice to get your house off the market and then you’ll have to pay £98 for the privilege if you previously agreed to let them do an EPC for you. There are agents out there who will not make you sign a contract. My advice is, find one of those.

I met Jamie Hyett 6.5 months before I became his customer, I was buying not selling through Peter Alan. I was messed around, lied to but my estates. Jamie guided, supported, listened and helped going above and beyond as when I lost my second buyer I assumed I was losing the house of my dreams. Jamie was determined to get me the only house I wanted and he worked his magic .
I had to leave the estate agent selling my house after the lost soul destroying experience with them, thinking my only chance after 6.5 months is getting Jamie to sell my house. So I became his customer and Peter Alan got mine on the market. I eventually sold mine and we've been in our dream home 10 weeks now and it's even better than I could of imagined and from when I viewed it. Most perfect home and location I kept thinking I was losing until Jamie took control of the sale of my last house. I work very close to Jamie's office so I'd be forever nipping in sometimes upset and stressed but never once was anything too much trouble. He aways made time for me with a big smile.
Jamie you've changed my future, I love in the most perfect location for myself and my dog in the most perfect house. Dreams do come true and without Jamie mine wouldn't of. You started off as the estate agent I was buying through then became my friend. I wish you and your family a very happy future too ????

Absolutely shocking experience with Peter Alan - Pontypridd. They were letting my property for me on a fully managed service but did not fully manage it. Inspections never carried out, property left in a terrible state and the last months rent not paid. Have now had to go to a small claims court myself. Staff were
unhelpful and not knowledgeable in the letting sector. I had to fight for 4 months to get my property sorted and even the simplest of tasks were made unbearable by Peter Alan. Money taken out of the rent for a fully managed service that was non existent and I have lost thousands. Do NOT let them manage your property! Go elsewhere.

AMAZING service from Mark Wilton ! I never thought we needed a mortgage advisor until we met Mark. Our experience of this office was not good. Offered on property and 24 hours later no further phone calls re offer from them despite me calling them several times for update. Seems they are slow to listen and respond to voice messages. We felt like they were not doing their best to secure a sale for the vendor or keep the buyer updated. We subsequently viewed property through another agent and found that experience swift and professional.

Well after dealing with a few very disappointing estate agents around the area of which I’d avoid in the future!! Me and my partner found these guys! And especially one guy called Ben! He took us on a tour of the Surrounding areas and showed us so many houses that he thought would suit us and boom he came up trumps!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to find a property quite quickly due to being served notice as our landlord wanted to return to their property. I contacted Sarah about a property in Pontypridd and we had a few issues to start as the landlord decided against pets (we have a small dog) but Sarah persisted and the landlord changed their mind and today we picked up our keys! Ben, who's relatively new to the branch was very courteous and professional, thank you Ben, you've been great! but Sarah was top notch. Tried to book a viewing a few weeks ago - no response. Had to email again to try to get a booking. Booked a viewing and then cancel 2 hours before appointment as the house is sold. None of this was mentioned when we booked. Time taken of work to make appointment and money lost due to the cancelled work. Very disappointing service. Hopefully they can sort out the communication in the future.

I just want to say a massive thank you for everything you did Lydia , it may not have seemed like very much to you but being a first time buyer having to dealing with problems with the solicitors due to land registry and the lack off communication with Convey Law it could have been a really daunting process if you hadn't have been so helpful. You constantly kept reassuring me all the way that everything would get sorted.
Everything you explained to me was clear and i understood every stage i was at from you more than my own solicitor.
From the viewing of the house right up until completion date you kept in touch every week with what stage we was at. (Even when it was not your job to do so) you are the ONLY one that made me feel positive throughout this whole situation and the problems i had.
You always went out of your way to try and contact my solicitor and get some update when i couldn't do so.
I would also like to thank Sarah Wiggins who helped when you was out of the office very professional and efficient in dealing with my solicitor also!

Excellent service from Lydia and her team. House was up for sale for 3 months with an online estate agent, and whilst it received some viewings, there was nowhere near the attention to detail received from Peter Alan.
Highly recommend them, good knowledge of local area and a very wide ranging contacts book should help you sell your house with them...

He really went above and beyond to ensure I was completely happy with my new flat - he even got the builders back in, to complete some finishing touches that had been overlooked! I decided to use Peter Alan after Daniel came to the property and give me a lot of advice and answered all my questions professionally before I agreed to put it on the market. The communication was excellent and Peter Alan would always keep me updated.
