I would like to express my honest opinion regarding the service offered by Emma and George at Peter Alan. My wife and I were in need of moving to Merthyr Tydfil and were searching for properties to rent. The issue was that we were in London and we wanted to find out something without physically viewing it due to personal reasons, and it’s only Emma and George who understood our situation and came ahead to help us. Many estate agents refused us when we requested a virtual viewing. Initially, we found a good place, though it later didn’t work out due to the landlord's personal matters. We had to face a very difficult situation at that time; however, Emma and George built our confidence, and they helped us find another beautiful house within the time period we required. Honestly, they were really friendly to us from the first conversation and did their maximum to fulfil our requirements. We are forever grateful for their service. Thank you, Emma and George, a million times.

Peter Alan and iamsold made a terrible job of my house sale and have put me in a really difficult position. They advised selling via modern method of auction and listed my property with a low reserve to attract buyers. Instead the low marketing price instantly devalued my property when it did not achieve a sale at auction. I now can’t even sell to a cash buyer because of the low reserve price. I can’t sell on the open market at a higher price because of the low reserve. It’s a mess and I’m thinking about complaining to the ombudsman about their terrible service. The agent who initially valued my property and advised the auction route actually left the company shortly afterwards and I had barely any contact with them after that, but at no point did they explain the ramifications of low auction reserves. If selling with them, do not go with their auction route, it’s a disaster.

If I could have give half a star I would have, hands down the worst customer service I have ever received they say they'll call you back they never do, there happy for you to receive a house with faults and not bother getting them repaired. And expect full rent in the mean time would not recommend!

My first impression were very good of Peter Alan, baring that in mind the valuation was i was pestered none stop to sign the contracts to get the house on market with Peter Alan, the were of an okay quality but there was no picture of the front of the property, once the property had gone live i had 11 viewings lined up for the "launch day" then a day before hand i received several text messages from the agents saying 7 or 8 were cancelled, there was no communication from the agents office for reason why they were cancelled. once the house had been viewed by a few people the agents made me aware of them, i felt like the process was very rushed there was only one offer from the buyers and then on to best and final which i felt left myself and the buyers in a very rushed situation, the offer had been accepted that was it, i then looked on rightmove to find out that my property had been taking off the website, i found this very annoying and just not communicated very well towards myself. also in the past few weeks i have been receiving random text from the estate agents about other viewings there was no phone call to say what the viewing was, who the viewing was just a total lack of communication again.
If i was to look back on my past experience with Peter Alan i would definitely not use Peter Alan estate agents for the fee they charge is extremely over priced too for the service that is provided

If I could give this zero stars I would. My daughter has rented a property through Peter Alan and has had such poor service from them regarding the condition of the property, which should never have been marketed in its current state, that her mental health has suffered so much she has had to give up work. There are no washing facilities, no working heating system, galvanised water tank which is all rusty, have been warned by environmental health not to drink water. Peter Alan does not care about its tenants at all.

An agency willing to let out a house with no working boiler, means of sanitation or safe drinking water should NOT be a housing agency. Absolute horrific.

Peter Alan's Estate agents are extremely slow to respond to a requests and seem to suffer from a general administrative problem having lost an offer on a property. While the estate agent herself is very personable she is makes every effort to drive up prices for prospective buyers and actively supports gazumping. I will never even attempt to deal with Peter Alan again. Has anyone checked to see if these other reviews are real / work for Peter Alan? (jk?)

The team were very responsive; they answered all of our questions and kept us informed throughout the entire process. They were also very understanding and patient when our move was delayed due to covid-19 related issues.

I would highly recommend anyone looking for a house to rent/buy consider Peter Alun. Me and my partner have had none stop support from them in regards to the house we have just renter from them.
They are very professional, as it was my partners first time renting he was nervous as he didn't know the progress. But those who dealt with us made it so easy and explained everything we needed to know and answered all the questions we had in as much detail as they could.

Catherine Smith at Peter Alan was absolutely fantastic from first phone call right up till she handed keys to my rental and even after no problem to big or small I for one I'm glad it was Catherine who was on end of line due to it being an emotional time for myself kind and caring is what she offered thank you

I rang and spoke to George who promised me a call back, that never happened, I thought ok, maybe they have forgot or been too busy so I left it at that.
I rang a month later spoke to Cath who also said she'll call me back or text me, nothing back again?
Two separate properties I had interest in and on two separate occasions a promised call back never happened.
People are paying Peter Alan to sell and rent houses for them and the staff are not calling potential customers back.
They wont get a third call off me!!!

Initial contact wasn't the most inspiring when viewing a potential purchase. Received hard sell calls from their call centre who continually cited Armageddon sized problems unless we put our property from sale with them there and then wouldn't take "we'll think about it" as a end line. Had to be very blunt to stop their pushing. However, Molly Davies came onboard - what a difference in the service. Nothing to much trouble, made us believe sale and purchase was doable, set out a great plan to move things along. Hand holding offered throughout . Without this young lady who was new to the Merthyr Branch we dont thing we would have stayed with PA at all. She was exemplary.

Professional & fast service, disappointing that I had to go with PA Black due to value of my property (which incurred a larger cost to myself) but the local PA Green office handled the sale (seems unfair to charge for a black service but deliver a green service)!

George was fantastic getting us into a rental property that we need for business very fast.
But unfortunately the house has a few problems and getting anything done or a response from peter alan was a complete joke!! As we paid 6 months upfront rent upfront it was like they didn’t care!! Very let down ...
