My experience with Phillips Shaw was great. Although we never rented a property from them, we were very close to doing so until we found a better property elsewhere that was more suitable for our needs. Andra and Shyam are very coordinated and polite, taking matters very professionally. Even though we started the referencing process and had to cancel near our start date, they were happy to refund half the money as a goodwill gesture. Andra was one of the only estate agents who took our request seriously and listened to our current family situation, finding a very suitable home, although we ultimately found a better match elsewhere. She was also extremely polite and I have not seen better service from an agent anywhere else. The attention to detail was unexpected and they know their stuff very well! Regardless, the service was amicable, and any issues were resolved quickly and professionally. They are very truthful people. Therefore, I highly recommend them. They’re also very easygoing, and you can ask for special requests which they will be happy to cater to. Although I don’t rent from them, I recommend them for anyone to use. Akhil and his personal assistant Diane were absolutely fantastic. From the moment I started looking for an accommodation, they never faltered in helping me find my ideal property. Not only did they find an apartment that was perfectly situated and within my budget, I was helped with every aspect of the process. Rigid and inflexible despite the Covid and WFH situation, with a tedious application process via Goodlord. Please beware they will expect you to have access to a printer and scanner and to pass on a suspicious amount of data such as employment contracts and banking information even after you provide good references, from both landlord and employer. This is my first time moving to London and they have only added to my stress despite me providing more than sufficient information to show I'm a good tenant with an income which can easily cover the rent, and prompt references being provided. The only thing is I don't have access to a scanner.They take your holding deposit upfront and then continually pester and harass you if you don't provide everything they want almost immediately. The only reason I've not given them 1 star is because I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I will provide an update but thus far their behaviour and demands have given me cause to be suspicious; I really hope they're not cowboys.... Read more
