Would I recommend Richard Pontyz? Absolutely not, If you are looking for a genuine caring agent then look elsewhere.
Rob laughed in front of me when I came into the office to explain my circumstances, I formally complained to them and was then put on to Sara Pontyz. My property was sold with them, and whilst Sara Pontyz did put in lots of effort to chase the chain, on the final call I over heard a male voice in the background of the office saying "Dont laugh".
Humiliating and a disgrace to the profession...if you can even call estate agency a profession. A joke of a company

If you’re looking at buying or selling or even renting I would so recommend going to Richard Poyntz.Any update on things they kept us updated and as we was limited to look for properties in one area because we have a young child with a disability and have to be on call to be able to get to the school quicker as we have a child who is epileptic and James Poyntz had helped us so much he went way and beyond to help us always kept us posted and he found our forever home which is literally a 2min walk to the school so that has really helped. As moving is stressful enough James however reassured us that everything will be ok and he will help us find a place and he kept his word amazing friendly team at Richard Poyntz and if you don't take my word for it then go there yourself and see how good they really are.

Gave Poyntz commission on land to overview our sale. They gave opinion building land was not clear for completion and release of £450,000. A few pieces of litter. They hoped to obtain instruction for sale of new properties from the builder purchasing land. Not to be trusted if any possible conflict of interest. Very tricky and nearly caused a serious failure of the dependent property purchase.

Our agent was Richard, who was amazing from the start of what turned out to be quite a long, difficult buying process that lasted approximately 5 months. Throughout the process Richard was patient, helpful and honest and listened to our needs. He went above and beyond in being our bridge to the other side and was never too busy to make time for us. There is not one occasion I can think of where Richard and the team did not do exactly what they promised. All my queries whether by email or phone was always answered promptly even when out of hours. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Richard and he was always personable and kind.

We had a buyer within a week of putting it on the market and despite having a few issues with the sale along the way, Richard Poyntz were excellent with providing updates, giving advice and had our best interests at heart.
I want to give a massive thank you to Rob, who was dealing with us from the outset. He went out of his way week in, week out to ensure that we had the answers we needed and chased up solicitors/ brokers regularly to get the process moving. A number of obstacles were overcome including extra issues from an inefficient Canvey solicitor and my buyers Canvey high st estate agent that made stress levels a lot worse than normal. We were highly satisfied with the agency from start to finish.
James handled our case initially in a very professional manner. We were impressed with his proposed marketing strategy and he secured a quick offer at a price we were happy to accept.
Rob then took over and was outstanding in his management of what became a protracted sale due to frequent problems down the chain. He kept on top of the situation to a degree that we would not have been able to do ourselves and kept us fully informed at all times.

We are buying a new build and had to go multi-agency as part of the buying process. We originally had 3 other agents appointed in mid-November, two of which we dismissed within the first month. Richard Poyntz were then appointed and what a difference. We honestly felt much more confident in getting our property sold at the right price. Despite the Covid situation and the Christmas period they were still arranging viewings. We got regular updates and excellent feedback from them. Whoever I spoke to in the office was always friendly and helpful. Our property has just sold via the one original agent we retained, at just a fraction below the asking price. When I phoned Richard to tell him, he could not have been nicer and wished us lots of luck with the sale. I would highly recommend their service, many thanks to Richard, James and all the team!...

Wanna say thanks to everyone at Richard poyntz for helping us sell our first home and also buying our 2nd house, when James come round he gave us his honest opinion on price and how Richard poyntz will help us sell our home, had two viewings the next day and two offers that evening to which we happily sold, buying our 2nd place I wasn’t that keen on the property from looking at the photos from rightmove, James said it was better then the house we was already keen on to which decided to have a look in person. Photos didn’t do it justice as there was a lot more space then we both thought and happily decided that was a place for us, also Rob in the office was really helpful giving us weekly phone calls to keep us updated, till we exchanged he also helped us with any questions and made sure he made time for us with having more viewings to the property, also helping the surveyor getting into the garage ( no power roller garage) will definitely recommend Richard poyntz and will use again!
