Certainly would question the 5 Star reviews probably from there friends and family on here....Weak apprentice style service, don't answer the phone, poor communication, don't understand one bit of the market they are in, bottom line... there is a reason why they have a low commission rate, you pay for what you get here I'm afraid and that is a very poor unprofessional service... ????

Dean and the team were fantastic from start to finish.
The photos Dean took were very professional and the house was sold within 2 weeks.
Unfortunately that sale fell through but was sold again within 24 hours.
I was kept up to date at all times and Dean organised all the tradesman appointments that I needed to get the sale through.
I have moved many times and by far Temme English have have been outstanding

From start to finish the team at Temme were fantastic. The quality of the photos and sale advertisement were great and resulted in numerous viewings within a few days, the team worked with me as a busy working Mum to schedule viewings when convenient.
The staff were professional throughout and helped me secure a quick sale, I trusted them thoroughly to guide me on accepting a strong and more importantly the right offer and buyer (as we were relying on the sale not falling through to reserve our new build property). There was no pressure for a quick sale and I didn’t feel forced into accepting an offer, they guided me through the process and their expertise was invaluable. They genuinely care for their clients.
The sales progress team were amazing, by far more helpful than any Solicitor! They provided constant updates on the progress of the sale, gave clear instructions on anything I needed to action and were vital in maintaining communication between all parties and ensuring the sale progressed steadily and didn’t fall through. The team really were the glue that held everything together and I am so grateful for everything they did for us to be able to secure our first family home for our little boy. We truly couldn’t have done it without you Temme!

We was with another estate agent for 15 weeks only had 3 or 4 people through the door, we had signed a contract with them & they wouldn't let us end the contract, so on the day our contract ended we signed up with temme english basildon , 2 weeks to the day they had sold our house , sale still going through & they have always kept us fully informed on everything, recommended a solicitor to us which has been fantastic, Louise & Dean have been absolutely fantastic, nothing is to much trouble for them always makes me feel at ease anytime I phone them , we would 100% recommend them to anyone wanting to sell or buy a property you will not be disappointed.

The Team at Temme English, Basildon were outstanding throughout a very protracted and difficult sale they handled for me. Being my first property sale I canvassed a lot of the other local agents before making a decision on who to go with and from the initial meeting with Louise I not only felt at ease and clear on how the process should work but also that she had an appreciation for my own motivations and expectations for the property rather than just being another name against a potential sale.
The photos taken by Dan and his advice around the placement / removal of certain items for them really did the property justice and I believe really helped us to secure buyers within the first week of it being listed (twice!).
Finally, Harriet and Lucy were outstanding throughout a very long, and sometimes stressful, period where there were a lot of communications and negotiations between multiple parties. They were always attentive, never 'pushy' and were very clear in respect to their communications and when anything in particular was required, while always maintaining a positive attitude.
For anyone looking to buy or sell in the area I would absolutely recommend Temme English. The other positive reviews are totally justified and there's a reason they're one of the most prolific agents in the area. I only wish I had listened to and instructed Louise from Temme English when she first valued our property. Instead, we were naively taken in by a different agent who promised the earth and we wasted 6 weeks tied into a contract with no sale at the end of it. I cannot praise the whole team at Basildon highly enough. From Dean who took a fantastic selection of photos to Bradley who sold our property via an open house, and Louise and Harriet who supported me through an extremely complex sale.

We couldn’t of been more happy with the attention and professionalism of the staff at the Basildon office whilst recently selling our house to Mr Yuliyan Atanasov.
The buyers, together with their solicitor, have I feel, Never, purchased a House in the UK before. Each time that an Exchange Date was agreed they requested unnecessary checks to delay the process. It was our instructions to re market the property as we had lost faith that they would ever purchase our property!

I have had disgusting experience with Temme English and especially with Louise and Harriet. They both have been unreasonably pushy & rude. Their only solution to any of my request was - “NO, we will put it back on the market”
Louse said to me exactly that: “ I’m sorry to be harsh but I get my commission from the vendor (seller) so I have to make sure I look after them”
If the house you like is advertised by other agency as well, don’t go with Temme English unless you want awful experience.
Exchange did not happen on the day they wanted (as electricity safety report fail) and they put my house back on rightmove and booked around 10 new viewings for my house, sending people my address, after dealing for 3 months with them.
Both Louise and Harriet have been extremely rude and lots of things they said did not make any sense.
I had to view the property 4 times because they lied. They promised electricity, water and gas will all be in working order so that I can see before exchange. Every other viewing one of the three was not turned on and finally on the 4th viewing they said seller doesnt want to let me view the house and will pull out.
I said I won’t exchange then, after 30 min they said they convinced the seller.
Redicilious! They will try to push you to go with same solicitor that the seller is with, do your research and never do that.
Their strategy is only to threaten you that you will loose the house. They made the whole experience very stressful.
When I told Louise facts by RICS surveyor she says “well, that’s in your opinion”
If I could rate it 0, I would. Very unhappy with the whole process. I wish my house was advertised by different agency.
To Temme and English - Louise and Harriet will destroy your business. You won’t go too far and I am sure I am not the only one they have treated awfully.
I finally got my keys, but cannot forgive how redicilious the past 3 months were.
Louise and Harriet are very unprofessional and unpleasant to deal with. What a bad experience.

We’ve just sold a property and bought another through Temme English Basildon. I cannot fault their service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others. Our property sold within a couple days of being on the market after a successful open day. All the stress of multiple viewings on different days was taken away with this great approach to marketing the property.
We had a complicated purchase but felt like our problems were shared the whole way through by the empathetic sales progressors Harriet and Lucy. They did an amazing job of constantly chasing and updating the entire chain and appeasing everyone’s concerns by listening, giving advice and offering updates with and without being prompted.
Temme English also offered great value for money with their rates as I sought several quotes initially and theirs were more than fair. They were also the least ‘pushy’ of those agents that came to value our home which tbf swayed us more than the affordable fee, that was just a bonus.
Great service from start to finish, 10/10 would defo recommend.

They ended up selling my property twice, the first time the chain broke down, unfortunately the other estate agent (Balgores Romford) were not truthful about my buyer's situation. Temme English are proactive agents. They like to ensure that the chains do not collapse and find the best buyer which suits our needs.
Stage 1 - Joe came to take photos and made sure that the house was presented at its best. He did not hesitate to take more photos to show my house at its best. Joe was also on had and very responsive when I had any questions. He was available even on his day off!
Stage 2 - The viewings - Louise conducted most of my viewings. She was professional and calm. Louis also conducted one day of viewing for me and I found him to be most inspirational. His energy made the day very enjoyable!
Stage 3 - I received multiple offers and the team helped me to find my best buyer. This was a very stressful stage, but Joe and Louise continued to be available all the time. They were happy to help on their day off; even whilst cooking for the children or moving homes for family.
Stage 4 - Following the conveyancing process - This was the most stressful stage but Harriet and Lucy were on hand and were super supportive throughout. They gave me time when I needed a moan and also kept me positive when I needed it the most. They would give me updates frequently and I found their support to be most invaluable.
I must also thank Dean for being at the end of the phone and helping me to relay my messages.

We were pushed in to a later viewing by the agent and in turn missed out on the opportunity to view and potentially purchase a property that was well suited to our needs. One of the best estate agents!
From the initial valuation to exchange of contracts, everything was exactly how it should be. All appointments were on time, phone calls returned as promised, regular updates by phone or email.
Dean looked after most aspects of the valuation and sale, and Lucy took over to see it through to completion. Both have been an absolute pleasure to deal with.
I'd considered another agent following a personal recommendation, but so glad I gave Temme English a chance. A little cheaper than other quotes, but with a superior service.

I have a slight distrust of estate agents, but couldn't have been any happier with Temme English. From the initial valuation to the final stages of exchange and completion, they've done everything I'd expect and more.
All of the staff have been a pleasure to deal with. Appointments have all been on time, phone calls returned, etc.
When the for sale board blew over in the wind, they repaired it within a few days - without prompting. They must have just noticed it passing by.
Little bit cheaper than the other estate agents, but with superior service.

When we decided to sell our home I had a few different estate agents came round but they all made me feel uncomfortable but when Dean from Temme came in he put me at ease, explained everything in detail and was always at the end of the phone when needed .We sold our house within a couple of days unfortunately it took us longer to find a property but there was no pressure to do so. I would recommend Dean from Temme English and if I had to move again I wouldn't hesistah to go with them again

Excellent service from the beginning.
The team were professional, friendly, and helpful. Our house was presented for sale by way of an excellent photography package and honest wording. Our home sold on the first day and the ongoing care was second to none. At each stage we were kept updated on progress and the team seemed as pleased as us when exchange of contracts took place.

My name is saira.We have recently sold a flat with Temme English and purchased a house with them too. So very pleased.
Initially when I decided to sell I asked temme english, Griffin and bairstow eves estate agents as well to market my property. Other estate agents were grays based and temme english were from Basildon so I thought they might not be able to help that much but the opposite happened. Griffin n bairstow eves were disappointing as they booked appointments but the people never came to view which was very frustrating.
On the other hand ,Dean from Temme english estate agents was very helpful through out the process. He booked viewings and made sure people view and then informed us of their point of view on the property as well.
Although one of our buyer backed off right at the time of exchange but temme english helped throughout and in two days after that we had another buyer with an offer ready. We got an offer and from the day of viewing our property it took us 35 days to move in our new house.
I kept on telling temme english and I want everyone looking to sell or buy also know as well that they are the best estate agents around.Want to thank Dean for making it possible for us as with 3 children under five years of age, all this process would have been impossible but with their 24/7 help and support we were able to do it.Congratulations Joe for having such a brilliant team. Hope the best for them.

Absolutely no problems what so ever. Very happy and eager to help with the sale and purchase of a property. Dean is enthusiastic, professional and even when running around like a headless chicken still has time to call me and update me on the chain.
Lucy being head negotiator has helped keep my sanity when others were driving me to the brink of madness. Joe was upfront and honest about the fees and instilled confidence in using Temme English. Yes they may not be the cheapest on the block, but I have always been happy to pay for professional level support and this is exactly what i got.

A special mention to Lucy who couldn't of done more it was very refreshing to know she was on hand when needed and ALWAYS done what she said she was going to do , I felt confident leaving it the teams capable hands.
Moving is stressful enough but it had been made just that bit easier knowing we had a professional team helping us .

Very helpful when approaching them to purchase a new build for nearly half a million, they couldn't be helpful enough, but when I called them to ask them a simple question, about a part of an area we had discussed when we had been in, they had no interest in having a conversation with me... Sad nowadays no body wants to help you for nothing!!
