One of the reasons I chose Temme English to sell my mum's house was that there was no 'tied in' contract period should I be dissatisfied. I was never dissatisfied!

I’ve been with Agency for the last 2 and half years, worst agency I ever dealt with after showing them the property and confirming everything was clean and nice. They claim to get all my deposit and just by lying to the DPS and also my whole tenancy we had issues with the house and then never cared about fixing any problems and they used to tell us to leave the property. If we don’t like the way they treat us and we had a kid and we couldn’t. That’s why they used the advantage of that

It's a pity you can't score 10/5....I cannot praise Andrew, Curtis and the girls highly enough for their enthusiasm, encouragement, perseverance and professionalism in a very long going and tortuous process. Andrew was amazing and never let us give up hope that we would beat every pitfall that we met, and I believe he very patiently explained the whole process to our first time buyers, who were understandably apprehensive of all the surveys, etc. Curtis was always there to encourage us when we felt things were grinding to a halt and we really felt we were treated as VIPs the whole time.
I think I can honestly say that this sale was a challenge as it was an unusual property but the team pulled it off and we are now happily getting used to our new home, full of gratitude - we would not hesitate in recommending the Temme English in the strongest terms. Happy Christmas!

Even though it took us 7 months to find our property in a different County, these guys kept us and our buyers informed at all times of what was going on within the chain. Quite possibly the worst estate agents I have come across. Turned up to a viewing for someone to go in ahead of us and the owner was told we cancelled our viewing. A few weeks later something similar happened again, turned up to a house and the owner had no record of our viewing despite me calling 3 times to make sure it was confirmed.
Made an offer on one house and when it got rejected, Jamie couldn’t even pick up the phone to tell us (even though we had been on the phone shortly before) but emailed instead. Find this very unprofessional.

I asked Temme English to advertise my property after my initial estate agent was struggling to sell my property.
Temme come round, took the photos and was advertised on rightmove etc the next day. Photos were brilliant and 10x better than my previous estate agents. They also added a detailed floorplan which my previous estate agent did not.
Within 3 weeks of Temme English advertising it, the property was sold at an agreed price with the buyer.

I wouldn’t recommend using Temme English, our time spent with them wasn’t time best spent. Due to COVID, we were left to deal with all house viewings on our property on our own which we were okay with however we were given little to no information on all potential buyers that walked through our house which did not make us feel safe as it felt like letting in complete strangers every single time. It felt as though my partner and I did all the leg work getting the sale of our house done. Really unprofessional behaviour when speaking about legal professionals that were a part of our process, made us think “oh god what do they say about us when we aren’t around”. Really slow communication and leaving a lot of important updates last minute, always had to call them to get updates, we were never given updates directly. I think if you’re in the Essex/Wickford area, shop around before landing with this company.

These are difficult times to sell a property, so it is extremely important that an agent is proactive.
Our property was on the market with Temme English for approximately two years four months until we removed it. Yes, the team at TE were always very polite and yes we had a number of viewing, the vast majority of which were people who were in a similar position, they had not sold, or were not yet on the market, but there were a number who had sold or could purchase.
Obviously TE could not waive a magic wand, but I do feel they could have been considerably more proactive, particularly as the months turned into years! With the exception of an abortive drone photographic session, which I was advised would be attempted again and never was, I found it was me suggesting all the marketing ideas! Me calling them most of the time!.
It appears they are set in a time warp, they have not moved with the times! They can no longer merely sit behind their desks and expect the “mountain to come to Mohamed” Firstly, they have to contact all possible buyers, and once a property has been viewed SELL it to them, don’t just accept their non purchase feedback, SELL the property on all the GOOD points, along with potential changes that could be made, if criticised. Location to schools, shops, doctors,low crime rate, etc, suggest they make an offer? they could do SO MUCH to earn their fee and meet the objective, SELL THE PROPERTY!

Could not recommend Temme English enough.
I instructed them to act on my sale in the first instance. The service was very quick and everything was explained in detail. My property was advertised the day after photographs were taken and sold within 4 days after a number of viewings.
The house we eventually bought was also sold by Temme English. We viewed the property in a number of occassions throughout the purchase process to enable profressionals to provide quotes for works, and obtaining access to the property (it was a probate so nobody lived there) was never too much trouble.
Regular updates were provided and callbacks were received promptly. We dealt primarily with Andrew Donnelly who was very knowledgeable about the market and area generally, and was always very helpful.
If we ever come to sell the property, we will certainly use Temme English again.

We were lucky enough to sell our home, and also find our new property through Temme English and we can't recommend Andy highly enough.
Throughout our sale and purchase, Andy (and when he was out of the office, Jamie) have been fantastic at keeping us informed, and have both, on numerous occasions, been willing to answer queries to help things run smoothly. Andy even assisted us with issues with solicitors, and made calls to both sides to chase up outstanding queries, something I have never heard of an estate agent doing before!
We started the sale of our property with an online estate agent, but very quickly realised that you get what you pay for, and dealing with Temme English has been outstanding throughout the sale and purchasing process.
