When I decided to sell my house I contacted Truuli upon recommendation from my brother, who had used their services few months ago. I have always been very speculative about estate agents, after poor experience from two or three flagship name agents. I had the google based statistics in mind, which rates 'estate agents' as lease trusted professionals. Well, that was proved wrong by Seth Oppong from Truuli. I contacted him in early August. The house was valued and went on the market after all the photography, in the first week of August. He got me three offers after about a dozen viewings. Seth Oppong helped me to go for the buyer whom he considered would be most certain to complete the sale. Well, the completion was done in early October. I found Seth Oppong, highly professional, honest, friendly, well spoken, prompt to answer queries, and he offered helpful suggestion and tips at various stages of the sale. I came to Truuli after bad experiences with 2 very popular high street estate agents and being on the market for almost 18 months. The reason it was taking so long was mainly due to cladding crisis following Grenfell and although my flat was exempt from needing an EWS1, I had a lot of trouble selling it and no real support from previous estate agents. As soon as I switched to Truuli, I met with Ryan and he was a breath of fresh air. He was positive and extremely on the ball with what he was doing. Ryan was always on the end of the phone and easy to communicate with and in no time at all I had interest from buyers and it finally completed a few days ago! I am so relieved and so very thankful for Ryan’s support after such a difficult time. This is going to sound cheesy, but he was more than an estate agent to me, he was my rock during this process! Matthew, Matthew, Matthew Keddo what to say about Matthew…… Can you spot when someone has passion, Drive and focus? Well all of those qualities emanate from Matthew Keddo daily and even all can see Matthews drive, see his Focus and know that he is passionate about his work. Let me take you back to our first encounter with Matthew...… A letter was posted through our door and Myself and had a read. The letter spoke on an estate agent in the area called Matthew who is viewing a property on our road and if we are interested we can contact him for a free evaluation of our house. Me and my mother looked at each other and thought, hmmmmm who posts a letter through your door claiming to be an estate agent? This must be a well planned burglar (hahah) Long story short a month went by and my mum finally decided she was ready to sell the house, so we remembered the “dodgy letter” from the man and company we have never heard of before, I called Matthew ( after googling to see the legitimacy of Truuli) to see if it was still ok for him to come and evaluate our house and it was the BEST decision we have ever made. Already from the phone call I new Matthew’s Vibe was unique. He wasn’t a corporate worker ant coming to sell our house just to add to his success chart, He was coming to get to know his clients, get to know the memories and stories formed in the property and get to know us and why we have decided to take this leap and move. Matthew came very quickly and he came with his 2.1 dissertation on our house and area. He came with other properties in the area and he came with his true and honest opinion. Throughout the house sale Matthew has been available all hours of the day and night and also never left us even when the sale of the house moved on to other agents ( solicitors ect) Matthew has kept us informed throughout and given us advice and support even when his job was finished. I cannot recommend anyone else on this planet that can love your house better than you did over the years and sell it on to another person to live in and make memories. It’s rare to find someone who doesn’t see their work as just a job but sees it as, communication, kindness, care and 110% authentic and unique customer service skills. Unfortunately there were multiple bumps in the road, which has nothing to do with Trulli, but they helped overcome each obstacle and assisted massively to get the sale across the line. When I decided to sell my house in March this year, I wanted to go with the prominent high street estate agents. My parents who had sold their house just under a year ago said that they were not completely satisfied with the service they received from one such estate agent. They advised me to try Truuli, simply because they had noticed some "SOLD" boards in the surrounding areas. I contacted them, Seth Opong came to value my house. The valuation, he came up with was at the higher end of the market, but I went with that. I found Mr Opong, very professional and friendly. While the house was on the market he kept me informed at every stage of the progress. He got us an offer within three weeks and the property was sold with in four weeks of us getting the offer. Though Truuli charged a commission which was slightly higher than what others offered me at that time, I felt it was worth the extra bit considering the service we got. Best decision I’ve made to have gone with Truuli. We instantly got offers on our house and with it being on the market for no longer than two weeks, It got sold. Fantastic job with a team of great personality, especially Michael whom has been phenomenal on selling the house and advising us every step of the way. My neighbour has an identical maisonette to mine with the same conditions and as she put her property up she not only sold in a few months but sadly she sold it for much less as she went for another estate agent. Don't be tempted to go with a cheaper operator, the service Truuli offer is worth every penny when navigating the ups and downs of buying/selling. We first met Seth from Truuli when viewing a property to buy. We decided the house wasn't for us but from a sellers perspective, Seth was who we wanted selling our place. Respectful to the home owner, answered all the questions he knew the answers to and importantly didn't make up answers when he didn't. This honesty was carried throughout the process. Had the unfortunate experience of being put in an awful position by this estate agents and a property they were marketing. We decided to rent a property through them. It was all confirmed, holding deposit paid and moving date agreed. However, they then pushed back the moving in date by a month two weeks later (we were lucky enough to extend our current tenancy at the previous address), we were then told 9 days before the new move in date that we could no longer move in. Apparently there was issues with the landlords and them not being able to move. We were left in an untenable position of having to find a place to live in 9 days! I dealt with the Croydon branch in the purchase of a property. As expected, heavily transactional. Very pushy towards getting the house sold, understandable from that perspective of needing to get the house off their listings but not respectful of checks which needed doing on the property. Despite a series of checks, some of which required work, didn't manage expectations with the vendor at the time that we could reduce our offer. We almost lost the house due to the combination of poor communication with the vendor and a highly emotive vendor given our suggestion to reduce the price. Completion date was a shambles given a lack of follow up with the vendor who failed to move out on time, fortunate not to pay penalties for notice to completion given lack of handover of keys. House left in terrible state, costing in excess of 500 pounds to clear the rubbish. Vendor also took the connector pipe from the washing machine, the front door locks and a tree out the front of the garden. Arguable that some of this should sit with the solicitor to act upon but the pure push for commission and absence of any checks by the estate agents on how a house should be left by a current occupier was completely apparent here. More than happy not to deal with an estate agent for hopefully a while now.... Read more

Prospective buyers, be warned!!!! They will try every trick in the book to con you! Their loyalty lies solely with the sellers and as potential buyer, you are just a number and cash cow to them. In fairness, the same could be said of a lot of estate agents but these guys are SHARKS! If you decide to deal with them, they'll tell you they need to make sure you are proceedable but do NOT speak to their mortgage broker as they'll slyly pressurise you into making a higher bid (although they denied that). Have your own papers and get your own mortgage in principle with a lender in place before talking to them (although that wasn't enough for them in my case). If they do not respond to your calls and messages after your offer has been accepted (that happened to me), just assume you have been gazumped and move on because they will leave you hanging for days. And don't get upset, you won't get much sympathy from them. Happy house hunting! Edit after Truuli's response: Prospective Buyers be warned again !!!!.....Gazumping is a practice you will experience with rogue agents like Truuli. Several estate agents frown upon this practice and are more respectful of buyers. Truuli claim they do not encourage gazumping but the experience I had with them proved me otherwise. They made absolutely no attempt to contact me from the moment my offer was "accepted" by the seller. In fact, they left me hanging for several days, ignoring all my calls and emails and only got back to me when they managed to get higher offers. They use rogue financial advisers/mortgage brokers (the one I dealt with was Katy Eatenton) to get you "financially checked" but these "advisers" are only interested in assessing your affordability to put pressure on you to make higher offers. Beware of their agents (Seth, Michael) who are very skilled at conning first-time buyers. Happy house hunting!... Read more

Put my name on the zoopla search for a property. One of the agents from this office called. Said he had 2 properties for block viewings this sat. I responded to him and mentioned to him is fine to view them. He asked me to register. first thing he asked was my home address. I hesitated and asked him he didnt need my home address. He said for security he needed my home address. What about my security and privacy? Agents normally ask potential tenants for their home addresses for marketing purposes. So they can target their Landlords etc. ( I know this because I worked in the industry for 12 years ) He wished me luck and hung up! I then called their offices to speak to someone in charge. Another person claiming to be a manager, calling himself Michael. tried to explain nothing! I asked for the name of the person I initially spoke to. Michael stated that his name was Jonathan. Now I believe they all gave me fake names. Didnt apologise for hanging up on me nor they acknowledged their wrong!
