Full marks to the Foxtons Croydon team for successfully selling a flat with cladding issues still to be remediated. They helped find the right buyer, direct them to the right mortgage lenders and find both us as seller and the buyer the right solicitors who had the expertise to act on this sort of sale. As agents for me as a landlord they also provided high quality tenants for 6 years and provided property management. The Foxtons online portal was a great help in providing accounts for tax returns. Huge thanks to Carley Rust-Williams and her team on the sales side and Dipan Shah and his team on the lettings side.

I had a truly awful experience with Foxtons Real Estate Agency last week, and I feel compelled to share it to warn others. The level of unprofessionalism and disregard for customers was shocking.
After completing the full payment for a property we were excited to move into, Foxtons informed us just one week before our scheduled move-in date that we couldn’t move in. The reason they gave was vague and completely unnecessary, leaving us scrambling to make alternative arrangements at the last minute. This caused significant stress and disruption to our lives, all of which could have been avoided if Foxtons had acted with even a shred of professionalism.
On top of this, their customer service was abysmal. The staff we dealt with were rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in helping us resolve the situation. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistake, they were condescending and unhelpful. It was clear that once they had our money, they couldn’t care less about the service they provided or the impact their actions had on us.
I strongly advise anyone considering Foxtons to think twice before dealing with them. The lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and careless handling of our situation was beyond unacceptable. I will never use their services again and would encourage others to avoid them at all costs.

I never write reviews, and me writing this signifies my disappointment towards the service I was provided. About a month ago, I visited a home I liked a lot. After finalizing the price and all other details, I paid a deposit and a month's rent in advance! 7 days before the day I was meant to move in, I was told the landlord wasn't willing to let me move in! Please be cautious when using their service as this has affected me profoundly. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Not to be trusted, they cancelled my viewing 4 times for no reason (we don't have the key, the tenant is not letting us in, there was a glitch in our system). They also booked a mortgage advisor without telling me even though I told them I had one. The last time they cancelled, the original real estate agent that booked the meeting had her colleague call and cancel. If they treat potential buyers like this I can only imagine how poor they treat people looking to rent.

Absolutely rubbish! Unprofessional! We were asked to change a viewing time. We turned up a few minutes early paid for parking for half an hour. Lewis never bothered to turn up and didn't answer my phone calls and after 15 minutes of waiting he finally called me saying it was his fault.
Never will use Foxtons again. They have lost out on a cash buyer and we are angry about losing money for unecessary parking!

Extremely disappointed with the service provided by Foxton
Despite extending our tenancy contract, they have informed our utility providers and council to close our accounts, resulting in unnecessary hassle and inconvenience. This level of incompetence is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their professionalism. It's disappointing to see them stoop to the level of local estate agents who resort to deceptive practices. Improvement is desperately needed.

Foxtons offered market valuation for 10x flats. Dipan and his Team @ Foxtons Croydon Lettings achieved market valuation bang on despite current market fluctuations. Everything that was promised to us was delivered and more. My wife and I have been positively surprised with the property we rented ...6! stars. "Immaculate," just as we were promised. Considering our previous experiences also in St. Paul's, Tower Bridge, etc. frankly I didn't think such perfect properties existed in the UK. Supercompliments. - We finally got out of the clutches of our bad previous experience with another agency in Purley "Streets Ahed" which I assume is one of the worst companies a person can encounter, not only in the UK..

Working with carley and her sales team in foxtons has been a joy. From the moment I met carley it has been peaceful. They have worked so efficient and quick. Photos was booked in within hours of signing up and I had met the whole team the following day.
I used another agency previously and had the worst experience, I would definitely recommend the higher fee at foxtons as the service is exceptional. Thank you sales team!

There is a big problem with a manager at Foxtons in Croydon who was abusive and dishonest with me.
His name is Dipan Shah. He harassed me and intimidated me during a letting process. He caused me fear and alarm by yelling at me and being aggressive and rude. I'm still considering if it's something I need to report to the police because I'm not sure.
He called me directly even though I was dealing with his employee Scott working under him and he had no reason to call me other than to be rude and aggressive as far as I can tell because Scott, his employee, was handling everything in the letting process with me.
Why do I say this?
Because Dipan demanded I sign a tenancy agreement immediately without even having time to review it. This was the intimidation I am referencing and his harassment was what almost pushed me to sign without reading. Thankfully I did not because that agreement was not what his employee Scott and I agreed to when we were working together on the offer.
Background:
1. Foxtons took weeks getting me all the information I needed on a property I was interested in making an offer.
2. I was sent a tenancy agreement late at night on the 22nd of November.
3. The next morning I am woken by a call from Dipan on the 23rd of November.
4. Dipan is screaming at me to sign the agreement demanding to know if I was "serious about this deal".
5. He tells me if I am serious I need to sign the agreement immediately.
6. I refused because I had not had time to read it.
7. After reading the agreement I realise it was not the agreement Scott and I negotiated in text message.
He also appeared to discriminate against me because of my self-employment history and income during referencing after I didn't sign the incorrect tenancy agreement.
Now mind you it was no problem for me to sign the incorrect agreement PRIOR to the reference checks being complete at this point and Dipan knew I was still in the reference process.
I know he was in contact with the reference agency (Let Alliance) doing referencing because he stated he was in contact with them.
When I refused to sign his contract (which was not correct) my referencing process mysteriously came to a halt and someone named Lauren who works for Let Alliance started making up reasons why I couldn't pass referencing.
I know she was making up reasons because:
1) She kept changing the reason I could not be approved (shifting the goalposts); and,
2) Lauren did not follow the policy on referencing Self Employment income.
How do I know this?
I have their policy for referencing and Lauren did not follow the policy for me being "self-employed" which was to use two years of income. She only used 1 year from 2022-2023. It's now almost 2024 and my income has increased every year since 2022.
From there Dipan injected himself several more times also changing the goalposts and lying about the process in what seemed like an attempt to interfere with my referencing process Let Alliance.
Just a few days previous he was bullying and intimidating me into a hasty decision without having cleared referencing now he was making excuses that violated written policy and changing those reasons upon every successful refutation of mine.
There are several instances I have in writing where Dipan is proved to be conflicting with either himself or the Foxtons or Let Alliance policy and process to discriminate against me. This is my experience and then when confronted about it he began gaslighting me.
The rest of the details I will save in case there is a solicitor who reads this and thinks Foxtons manager did indeed commit criminal or civil offense against me and recommends me to obtain a legal advisor.

Disappointing landlord experience in the end after what started well. They found someone to rent my property really fast which was good.
Sadly the management service I soon realised is very slow. Their model means you don’t deal with the local branch, you deal with the head office instead, who are extremely slow and only seem to deal by email and take days to respond to you or your tenant’s enquiries. My head office contact also changed about a year ago and things got even worse after that to the point where the tenant and I spoke directly with each other since Foxtons were so useless. Upon the tenants leaving, Foxtons were terrible, taking over 3 weeks to sort out the deposit because of how slow their head office team is. They refused to acknowledge or help me with a few deposit related items to the point where they just stopped replying to all of my emails. I don’t recommend their inventory service either as they missed off some quite key things like curtains that were destroyed and a broken freezer. I’m still owed £18 from the tenants for an item that they didn’t replace in the property when they vacated, but I’ve simply given up on Foxtons as they’re useless and don’t respond.
I recommend going with a local agent who have local teams to manage your property, plus they’re a hell of a lot cheaper. Foxtons will tell you local agents are cheaper because they have worse quality tenants and that Foxtons can get you higher rent, but that’s simply not true based on my experience. Shame as I really enjoyed their service at first, just ended badly.

We booked a viewing for the 28th of October with Scott after getting there and waiting 20 minutes and no one turned up we decided to call the place to find out where they are and they had no clue about the viewing and said they could try to “ fit us in “ even tho we had it booked. This is ridiculous and completely unacceptable as we spent time and money travelling for the viewing. I had to take a day off work for this ultimately losing out on money.

Do not rent from Foxtons, they do not maintain their properties. Works that were due to be completed before we moved in were not done until 4 months after the move. There are still outstanding repairs 8 months later. Staff just repeat over and over that they will speak to the landlord nothing gets done.

I was so excited moving into my new place but I had to change this review severely. They are wonderful before you’ve signed a contract but once signed it’s a nightmare. I’ve had nothing but horrible experiences and they don’t deal with a single issue. I’ve lived without hot water for 4 months and they have just given me the run around on a good day when they actually respond (which is rare). Avoid if you enjoy your sanity.

Had a fabulous experience working with Harry Gibson and Shehryar Effandi – both very friendly, helpful and professional, providing all the support we needed. They listened to our requirements and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, finding several great homes for us in the process. Harry took us in right from the beginning and showed us lots of different properties, which was crucial in helping us better understand what we wanted and what the market looked like. Shehryar was in charge of new builds and he also went out of his way to accommodate our requirements, like negotiating directly with the builders to provide solutions for parking when it didn't come with the home. We also have been living in this place for a year with 1 set of keys, even though we’ve asked them if we can get another one for the master key. As me and my partner works different shifts sometimes and had to wait for each other just to get home. Landlord didn’t give us any letter/permission to get it copied so we couldn’t even get it copied ourselves.
After we sent our notice, that was the only time they actually replied straightaway. It was very upsetting as it seems that they were just waiting for us to leave, rather than actually doing something about the problems.
All I can say is that we are grateful to have Salonee taking care of us and will definitely recommend her.

The worst experience ever!!! They showed us a flat with cero effort to explain how things worked within the flat (after a couple of weeks here we’re still struggling to understand how heaters, hot water, etc work), the agent also denied to show us the common areas of the building because he seemed to be in a rush all the time. Moreover when we saw the flat for the first time, it was very dirty and I had to emphasise how important is was to have a proper cleaning before we moved in since I’m pregnant and they told us “no problem” and guess what! The day that we moved in the flat was as dirty as it was during out visit! And the saddest part is that when I complain to Foxtons about it, they told me that our agent told them that I said that I was happy to deal with the cleaning on my own… Unbelievable! And that wasn’t the only lie from our agent Mr E. He denied to give us the keys on time based on an incomplete payment which was proven not true and we found a dept on the flat for electricity and hot water that they were pushing us to face if we wanted to make sure that we had such services. I would summarise their behaviour and philosophy as a company as rudeness, lack of humanity and empathy and LIERS!!! Avoid to rent with them if you don’t want to be disappointed and mistreated!!!

Myself and my gf have managed to use our life savings to buy a property. We use foxtons being the Monoplay of Estate agents yet they turned out to be no good.
Foxtons failed to give proof of our snagging list for a new build property to the developer. Now the developer won't do anything as they legally don't have to due to Foxtons lack of care.
Instead of helping with the situation I got this email.
'I’m afraid that from here, there is very little that we can do and our hands are tied as our contract with the developer no longer exists, thus we cannot chase further on any end.'
Now myself and my partner are having major issues fighting the developers for things we were promised on exchange due to Foxtons loosing any proof of this.
Very unstatised and expected much better of Foxtons.

Jack's approach is warming, calming, professional and endearing. He is the consummate professional and everything is wrapped around the experience being as beneficial as possible for you.

Me and my partner just got our first ever flat, and doing it through Foxtons has made it so much easier. Our letting negotiator/agent was Salonee and she was very kind, super helpful and always kept us updated with everything. We are very very thankful to her for all of her help.
From calling the office to book a viewing (it surprised me that they actually do viewings at 6pm and after that) all the way to moving in was just a very exciting and easy process.
Overall the whole thing was really pleasant and smooth I would 10/10 recommend Foxtons, wether you’re first time renters or just simply looking to move somewhere else.
Just to add another thing that we found really good as well: During the viewings we did not feel pressured into getting the property at all, and Salonee was super easy to talk to all the way through the process of renting and getting moved in. Our ‘moving in pack’ also had a lovely little card in it that was hand written by Salonee, which we appreciate as much as all her patience and help??

After trying most of the estate agents in Croydon, I happened to see the flat advertised by Foxtons based in Croydon. One of the letting agents (Salonee Jamnadas) facilitated the entire process from viewing to move-in. Given I relocated from Milton Keynes and Croydon is a new area for me, Salonne advised on renting the best-suited property considering it is not far from the amenities and transport links.
It is important to mention, she showed professional behaviour and put up with my inquisitive nature.
Without a shadow of a doubt, Salonee is the most knowledgeable letting agent in the Croydon area. I rate her service 10/10.

I have recommended to family and friends already purely based on the gentleman I dealt with. Addy Malik was highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and he really does put the client first. I have been to a lot of other offices and companies; his service is first class and this is so rare that it deserves a huge recognition.

Was in this store on Saturday 20/04/2019, someone with me requested a house quote for the current house, person on reception took all the details and set our expectations - a call within 3 days to set up an appointment.
Still have not heard anything from them. Don't think we will deal people again, if you can't follow up and deliver...then you lose out, we have plenty of other options out there.

Like another person stated they are very friendly but that's about it. 1st dealings with Foxtons Croydon branch was last year, it went well enough but refused to budge on my maximum rental budget, additionally discovered the agent lied about the monthly price, one price online but she kept quoting me a higher price, asked her about it was told it was a different unit although 2 days prior she clearly stated this was the Last unit. Subsequently and intentionally avoided her this time. Went through various searched with a different agent this time, he appeared nice enough, finally found a property that I loved, put an offer in £100 below the asking but still high solely on the location despite the small size. Made it clear I ddint want to be messed around as I had a subject to viewing offer on a different property 1 minute away. Was told Landlord was happy with the price no issues however could I reconsider 1 Yr break clause rather than 6months which I accepted, asked them what bedded to be done to secure and stop viewing at 11am, was told paperwork will be sent out, was also told many times they had no viewings since the property was listed. 11am accepted counter offer, cancelled my offer on the other property which released it to another renter. To my disbelief recieved a call from Foxtons at 2pm telling me an offer was on the property can I increase by another £50 Apparently the landlord liked my profile etc if I went up he'd sign immediately. All this while I recieved an alert from Rightmove of a price drop for the property from £1500 to & £1450 .. Asked immediately why the price was dropped, he pretended he didn't know about it, also inferring the landlord must have changed the price online I.E. Logged into their website changed the price and Also ALL the property listings on various platforms all the way from shanghai too.. INCREDIBLE. Infuriated at the audacity of them, I pulled out and told them freely to let the 'OTHER PERSON' have the property! 3 days later a friend of mine called in for the Same property she was offered a viewing for the FOLLOWING Week! I don't trust Foxtons I believe they use little dirty tactics to get more money out of you at the last minute, I also don't like bare faced lies in business. If you're reading this look for the negative reviews you'll see a pattern. Would have happily increased my offer, but didn't on principle. Should have gone with the other property listed with a different agency, they had more integrity but hey learnt my lesson! thanks!

CAUTION to ALL potential users of FOXTONS. Once you register at FOXTON, it's the end. They will call you EVERY MORNING for rubbish conversations. On the calls, they will NOT introduce available flats but inform you that you cannot rent any property with a pet! EVERY MORNING, I was made to listen to their grateful preach and got nothing! Thanks Foxtons, you wasted my time. I hope no potential tenant will experience what I did.

I would give it half a star if I could. Team were very friendly, but that was it. The service was disgraceful. At the time my partner and I were desperate to find a house to rent within a certain amount of time and we were assured that Foxtons would be able to find us a place with no problems.
The person that dealt with our case was quite young, inexperienced and unprofessional. We viewed a property that we were interested in and was asked to bring along documents and forms of ID so we could quickly get the ball rolling. After viewing the property our host was kind enough to drive us back to Foxtons so we could fill out forms. Throughout our journey she none stop talked about personal problems which I found unprofessional, alongside that she was constantly beeping her horn at other drivers.
Before we got to the estate agents she told us there would be no point in us filling the forms out and we didn't need to show her our documents which we found strange. She told us that Foxtons would be in contact with us the next day regarding the property we were interested in. We didn't get a call at all within that week; everytime I called Foxtons no one knew about our case. We managed to find a place at the very last minute with Acorn. They were fabulous. The following week I got a call from Foxtons asking if we found a property and that they would gladly be of service to us if we were interested in buying or renting. I was very annoyed as they didn't do anything at all. I would never go with Foxtons again.

Terrible services. We were treated so badly by Foxtons. The agents are unprofessional. We were stood up in spite of having a written confirmation. The agent didn't even call back to reschedule the appointment. We gave another go, giving Foxtons a benefit of doubt and booked in an appointment with another agent. She was even worst than the previous one. She had no idea about the market, rent prices, bills, council taxes, you name it. She misguided us on multiple occasions and stood up for the second appointment which seems to be tradition in Foxtons.

I met Dipan who behaved very professionally, he sounded extremely well informed about properties and about the property market situation so I felt reassured.

I brought a property from foxtons 2 months ago which was a good service. however, unfortunately they have left a sour taste in my mouth after not removing the "for sale" board and "to let" board outside my house.
I cut the boards down after 14 days as no one came to remove them. 2 months after, the boards have been put back up outside my property without permission and also I have never instructed them to LET my property and they even put a "to let" board up.
They refused to take them down after I explained to them that my tenants were not happy with the boards and there very unwilling to help.

After a nightmare dealing with Haart (who failed to tell me my buyer had pulled out for 2 weeks!!) i was truly stunned with the service i received from Foxtons!
They got my flat sold at the price i wanted within 10 days of coming to initially assess it!
It was ANYTHING but a smooth transaction but Foxtons chased on my behalf with both sellers and buyers to get the deal done.

I have recently sold a property with Foxtons (Simon D) and found them/him to be very professional and knowledgable about Croydon and the property market in general. The advice I have received has been most helpful.
Although I missed out on taking advantage of the 0% offer which was the reason for going with Foxtons rather than another estate agent with cheaper fees in the first place, they sold our property after a slow start for a reasonable price I believe.
Simon in particular was very good at keeping me informed of progress/issues and called me back promptly if I called him. He often made himself available to meet with me to discuss any issues or to give me an update on progress. We kept in touch via different means email, phone and text depending on what was best for the situation or the urgency of the issue.
So far, I have been pleased with my decision to go with Foxtons Croydon.

I have worked with Emlyn, from Foxtons Croydon Estate Agents, to rent out my flat. Emlyn has integrity, commitment, and a great heart, which are qualities I never expected to find in a realtor. He was honest about challenges with and extremely helpful when it came down to getting the nitty gritty done to prepare the place for showings and get the highest bid for my place. Abraham is a cheerful man with sense of commitment to his job. He went with me on few visits and was right on time and showed me round the properties allowing me to make up my mind and never pushing for me to commit myself. It was quite a long way to view the properties but engaged with me throughout going and coming. He even got to sell my property the second time after the first person pulled out. He kept his cool and reassured me he would get another buyer and he did within a week. Pleased with his performance. The entire team in Croydon is superb.

I met Abraham Ekperuoh at Foxtons office in Croydon, he listened to our requirements regarding the type of properties we where looking for. Abraham called me regularly, he showed me different types of properties in the areas we where looking for.

Foxtons initially came to value my house that had recently gone a major Refurb and was advised a good but fair valuation who took on the property to sell and achieved the full asking price!
The sale process was looked after by Hayley Zaire, who was very efficient and professional throughout. Even though there were some issues during the sale process on the buyer side she was able to handle the situation and achieve completion of the sale.
