My wife and I had a great experience with KFH Beckenham. During the sale of our property we were dealing with a team of people who really cared. Despite a few ups and downs at the beginning of the sale Jack Greenhalf was fabulous at always keeping us up to date and returned our calls and emails promptly pretty much the same day. Thank you for all your efforts Jack! It was not easy but you have achieved it.
Don't bother with KFH. They really don't act in the best interest of the vendor. There are far better estate agents in the borough.
Another excellent experience with the KFH staff at West Wickham.
From start to finish they were professional and on the ball. Admin and transactional aspects were handled seamlessly, and they made every effort to accommodate our house viewing times, which weren't always within standard working hours.
The whole team were able to help when we called, and we very grateful that they engaged with the solicitors on both sides to make sure everything completed smoothly and on time.
First rate service.
Many people are uncomfortable to leave a negative review with their names, however, our experience was so dreadful with this unprofessional agency that we would like to share it with others. The property we've recently bought was solely marketed by this agency so we didn't have a choice but to try and work with them. However, the whole office is unbelievably incompetent. First of all, your private details are handled carelessly resulting in us gaining regular access to their other clients' private data (both vendors and buyers) both via e-mail and postal letters. Think carelessly copied in e-mails from other clients, postal letters addressed to other clients attached to ours in the same envelope. Once could be a mistake but this happening numerous times via both methods raises serious concerns.
Second, as we already had our mortgage sorted and our chain was very short and all freehold we requested the exchange date to be within 9 weeks from acceptance of offer (this is a perfectly acceptable amount of time) so we could avoid paying another 2.5 months of rental fee unnecessarily. Vanessa claimed that our request is impossible and set up the exchange date 10 weeks after the offer got accepted. Ironically, about 10 days before their chosen exchange date they started to harass us to exchange asap as everyone in the chain was apparently ready to sign immediately. When we refused to bring the dates ahead due to them being ignorant about our needs earlier we've been put under incredible and completely unnecessary pressure with their constant calls, e-mails (even to our solicitor to convince us!!) pushy attitude and agressive tactics. To the point, that I had to switch phone numbers for a week to avoid repeating ourselves the 10th time about our refusal of a last minute change of the date that they forced on us in the first place. And to the point that we got very close to pulling out of the whole purchase just to get rid of this horrible agency. No doubt, had we found another suitable property at that point we would have pulled out without thinking twice.
Thirdly, despite all the stress they caused to try and bring the exchange date earlier last minute "due to everyone was ready", guess what.. on the named exchange day the exchange had to be cancelled due to the rest of the chain not even being ready with their paperwork. It's a wonder that the purchase actually happened in the end.
Alexandra did an amazing job helping us find the right home for us. She was also very efficient, in the sense, we had our new place within 4 days!! Thank you Alexandra! "Streets Ahead" representatives have always been very helpful too!
One of the worst lettings agency. Property management is as bad as you can ever imagined - Unprofessional, lying. I rented a property from them and they haven't even cleaned the flat when I am moving-in. Inventory check hasn't happened. Flooring is plastered to cover the rot and boiler is broken. Had been chasing up the property management to fix the issues and they never respond. Heavily frustrating and fed up with their non-service. Never recommend this lettings agency to any one.
Jake Moore was great. Everybody should go to him for any advice as finding the great properties. I am definitely recommend Jake to any of my friends who wanna go for fantastic homes.
I am leaving 1 star and that is for Maxine Apps-she is their jewel in the crown and worth her weight in gold. I would giver her 14/10!!
So far the rest of my experience has been pretty poor it shouldn't be because I think they are fairly well set up but their communication skills are so poor that I find myself chasing and chasing. It's so frustrating and a total waste of my time and money. I have had contact from the lady who will manage things moving forward and she sounds very hopeful (fingers crossed) but at this stage I wouldn't recommend Bairstow Eves which is a shame because all they needed to do was give me a call and not ignore my emails.
Oscar Evans at Foxtons in Croydon was simply wonderful. From start to finish Oscar kept me informed very regularly as to what was going on. I met Oscar twice and what a delight. Oscar has impeccable manners, he is approachable and easily contactable and made the process stress free. Oscar was professional throughout and he got me a price for my property that was above the market average. I couldn't ask for better. In short Oscar is a fantastic estate agent and I would definitely use Foxtons again as a result. I dealt with another estate agent for my purchase who were a nightmare in comparison. Thank you to Foxtons but thank you for having such a wonderful member of your team in Oscar. Very happy indeed.
I brought a property from foxtons 2 months ago which was a good service. however, unfortunately they have left a sour taste in my mouth after not removing the "for sale" board and "to let" board outside my house.
I cut the boards down after 14 days as no one came to remove them. 2 months after, the boards have been put back up outside my property without permission and also I have never instructed them to LET my property and they even put a "to let" board up.
They refused to take them down after I explained to them that my tenants were not happy with the boards and there very unwilling to help.
