Diane steadied our complicated purchase with calm and prompt responses, always courteous and thorough. Streets Ahead are lucky to have her on the team.
Marina Steel was persistent and patient in searching for a suitable property for us. A pleasure to work with at all times, we recommend her for her expertise in the local area and a willingness to persevere for demanding buyers with friendliness and good humour.
Do NOT use these agents!! They lack integrity, professionalism, communication and managerial skills, the list goes on. I lodged a complaint with these amateurs and it hasn't been resolved to my liking, and believe me, I had grounds for complaining.
They don't return calls, their emails are flooded with grammatical errors, they can't pass a message on to their employees. You really have to chase them up. Their mission statement reads, "“To be the most professional, caring and expert estate agent our clients, our community and the public come into contact with, whilst still ensuring that our commitment to staff training and innovation remains second to none enabling every client to have a smooth and stress free move.” What a load of flannel! Some clients may have had a better experience with Streets Ahead, but mine has been a complete nightmare.
The Lettings managers, George Potter and Daniel Woods both refuse to respond to my calls. Highly unprofessional and cowardly. A severe lack of attention to detail is plenty evident in their correspondence. Just an utter shambles if I'm very honest.
For those who have had a positive experience, count yourselves lucky because as far as I'm concerned these guys are complete cowboys. Unethical, unfair and unprofessional
I received great service from everyone at Homecastle. They were patient, helpful and understanding. If it weren’t for Jason, I wouldn’t have got such a great deal on my purchase!
We had the misfortune of asking them for a valuation, and when we chose another estate agents they kept pestering me with weekly phone calls, even after the sale, until the sign was removed. What is ironic is that I liked them as an agency and I nearly used them instead of the others, but because of this my daughter who is seeling her flat, didn't even bother to call them in for a valuation. Stupid way of losing business.
Bairstow Eves have been extremely helpful and professional in my home search. Jake was absolutely brilliant, extremely flexible and accommodating to needs. I'll definitely recommend.
I am leaving 1 star and that is for Maxine Apps-she is their jewel in the crown and worth her weight in gold. I would giver her 14/10!!
So far the rest of my experience has been pretty poor it shouldn't be because I think they are fairly well set up but their communication skills are so poor that I find myself chasing and chasing. It's so frustrating and a total waste of my time and money. I have had contact from the lady who will manage things moving forward and she sounds very hopeful (fingers crossed) but at this stage I wouldn't recommend Bairstow Eves which is a shame because all they needed to do was give me a call and not ignore my emails.
Review for Kelly Walcott at KF&H
Having seen a flat advertised on Gumtree, I called and Kelly was able to schedule me in for a viewing that afternoon. I collected the keys to my new flat the following Thursday!
She was a pleasure to work with and her honesty and professionalism made it easy to trust her throughout the whole process, whilst delivering the quick turn around I wanted. She kept me updated regularly and answered and query I had. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to rent or buy! She has left me with a very positive opinion of Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward.
MONEY GRABBING B@STARDS
Having decided to look for a 1 bedroom flat to rent near Crystal Palace I found a decent sized property about 20 minutes walk away through Kinleigh Folkard and Hayward for £850 per month. Not overly expensive I thought. I arranged a viewing with Alex on the Saturday. She seemed helpful (don't they all) and we agreed on a viewing at 11:30am on the Saturday.
The Saturday arrived and I didn't want to be late as my journey was an hour and half to get to the viewing. Just as I was arriving at just after 11am at the front door I got a call saying sorry but the viewing has been postponed. No prior notice was given and I was pretty annoyed at the time wasted. I was called back again with a further apology saying that if I would go for a second viewing I would get some discount off of the agency fees.
I saw the property for the second viewing and liked it and got the ball moving. NO DISCOUNT WAS OFFERED and I had to part with £656.15 with was for £210 tenant fees and £120 for referencing and the rest towards the initial deposit which still left me with a balance of £2194 before the move in date which wasn't a problem.
The contract was for 15 months which I thought was odd and did query this but was told its either 15, 18 or 24 month contract.
Upon my final visit just to hand in some more papers and fill out yet more forms I was told that mid contract the landlord now wanted to implement a rent rise but also there was no figure as to how much of an increase. I told them no way and if the landlord wanted to increase the rent he would have to do it after the contract has finished. Ridiculous!!!!
Due to my mum's ill health and social services not being able to go ahead with a care package for my mum which had already been agreed with them I was forced to unfortunately pull out of the flat so I can carry on caring for her. KFH still had over a months notice from the date the flat was available to find tenants for this and have so far refused to pay back any of this money. I have been very reasonable with them and said yes they can keep the agency fees and the referencing (£330) and just return the rest (£326.15) which would have gone to the landlord. Instead, they are keeping the lot for their own profit and are showing no signs of wanting to play fair. They are going to find other tenants within the month and charge them another set of tenant fees and referencing so no doubt be quids in.
I am in the process of seeking legal representation on this as I was hoping for at least a bit of compassion and understanding. I haven't cost them any money and in fact know that they will make more now.
In the meantime. I would recommend to anybody to avoid these people as they seem to be up there with the worst of them.
I have viewed many properties, but Anthony Slade is one of the best sales negotiators I have ever met in my life. With excellent customers service skills, works on own initiative and excellent sales Negotiator always kept me updated! Anthony showed us a property even before it came officially on the Market! He went out of his way for us using his OWN initiative phoned the vendor and arranged a booking to view. We made an offer. Anthony and Adam negotiated a very good price deal with us and the vendor, which made both sides very happy. vendor excited to sell! We excited to buy! thank you Anthony showing us this wonderful property.. out of all the 20 I viewed this one was the best and Anthony always kept me updated with the process. highly appreciated! Im sure the vendor must be very happy too. I understand she was trying to sell the property for the past 6 months with a different agency. Im sure she was very happy joining Haart Croydon. Anthony slade sold her property straight away!
"We need more Sales Negotiators like Anthony Slade."
The award for Best WORST Estate Agent in Croydon is definitely theirs. It's been four months and still we are no way closer to knowing what is the actual address of the property we are living at. Yes, that's correct, the address on our tenancy agreement does not exist on any system. We have no address.
To add, we are not the only one who have had issues, our neighbours within this building have had a long battle with Haart.
What's Haart has done about it?
Lied to us and others every time.
Please, please check all the paperwork they provide you with before ou are rushed to sign it.
To add, it's been 6 months and still no resolution.
