Visited today for the first time since the lockdowns and was very underwhelmed, there used to be a buzz on a Friday with a choice of 4 auctions but it looks like covid has taken its toll on the place now, my favourite household/general sale has gone and there was only the choice of a sparce outdoor sale and an antiques sale (I am sure a few items were indeed antiques) happily enough the cafe was still as we remembered serving great food, many of the old faces we used to meet up with were missing as well but they may have to travel some distance as we did which makes it unrealistic for what is on offer when you get there, it will be a shame to see the auction go so hope it picks up in the future and we will keep an eye on the website and possibly return when the weather picks up.

If you are an international buyer these guys are the worst. Be repaired for a run around. I have dealt with incredibly helpful and professional houses in the UK these guys aren't one of them.

Went to my first auction, lots of people , although it was outside they should of been wearing masks because they got so close to you. It seemed like a lot of people were there just to socialise which was annoying because I hate people . It all seemed to go according to plan ,the staff were helpful and I would go again

I had a viewing with tw gazes at a cottage in oakley Suffolk, but 2 hours before the viewing I had a call from them saying that we could not veiw the property as the vendor had accepted an offer, I thing this was totally unprofessional of them as they didn't even Want to put our offer to the vendor, so there for lost the vendors proberly 50 thousand pound, glad I didn't sell my house with these agents.

This auctioneers is an absolute disgrace.
I have a large motoring book collection that I wish to sell, so I contacted Gazes and was told that their book 'expert', would contact me.
This was almost two weeks ago, and nothing has happened, even though I have contacted them since.
Someone else eventually phoned, no knowledge of books, he left a message, which I then returned, but he was'nt available, so I left yet another message with the secretary;
I hav'nt heard anything.
Avoid this auctioneers, like the plague !

Nice auction room etc...but be warned if you place a bid via their website: TWG have an ‘Up Bidding’ service in place. This means they will add an extra bid ‘at their discretion’ to your max bid, but they don’t inform you what the increments will be...£10, £20, £30+ who knows.?? So if you place multiple bids and they use the ‘Up Bidding’ service your total invoice will cost you a lot more than you expected.....it could cost you ££££££
It’s in their T&C but it’s not clear at all, and it’s open to debate and complaints if it happens to you.

First time sellers at auction!! Was told items would be put IN CERTAIN SALESROOMS and CERTAIN ITEMS WOULD BE SEPERATED!! none of the above happened. There VALUATIONS were no were near the sold price!!, would,nt go back!!!! thats for sure!!!

Avoid at all costs. I bought 2 items from this auction, went to collect and BOTH were obvious fakes. Not only did the auctioneers lie in their descriptions of the items as genuine, but when I raised the issue with them, they were incredibly rude and refused to listen. I have wasted close to £1000 and I recommend this to you all: do not touch this auction house with a barge pole.

Saff were helpful to me in acessing the building with items to be told as I was on my own and in a wheelchair. Coffee shop was clean, food was good with no access issues.
Only issue was the process as first time vendors was confusing to start the website could be updated with details of registration for a vendor number was required as well as a queue number before being processed.
But overall a good experience.

Went on a Saturday morning to sell some items. You're given a ticket at the gate and told which room to park near. You display your number on the dashboard and wait for your turn. A member of staff will take your items and record them. You also need to give them your sellers number which is obtained from the office. There is a cafe on site. Everything was run efficiently and we were updated by email regularly. The cheque from the sale of our goods was very prompt. We have also bought items in the past at this auction and would definitely recommend them.

Excellent auctioneers but queueing to get seen, certainly on a Sat, is horrendous! That said, I wouldn't use anyone else: they're good, polite and extremely efficient and for those that need a coffee fix, there's a cafe.

Always a large weekly held auction with plenty of choice. Great for garden equipment and tools in the outside sales area. The other sales rooms give you plenty of choice to cover your interest, plus additional speciality auctions held periodically. Great cafe in newly built extension to the auction rooms. Parking charge of £1. Items for auction should be delivered on Saturday mornings for sell on following Friday. This can be a busy affair so suggest you get there early.

Regarding TW Gaze property auctions, Mike Sarson provided the highest level of support and this achieved outstanding ends for me as his client. He was able to have a bit of vision for my plot where not everybody could which was refreshing and all important to me. He also offered a very realistic point of view about worst possible scenario for the sale. But his scope allowed me to importantly secure a safe reserve that was high enough for me to be comfortable with it. I walked away with over double this, so I believe you can feel confident Gaze’s has a strong audience and market. Mike was very discreet and always professional. His expert advice did mean we achieved a fantastic result at auction. I feel if you disagree with him, and want to push forward with something against advice, well, his advice is best. He was certainly right where we questioned matters at different junctures. But such discussions were always very comfortable and to the point and this meant he was approachable and able where others might show frustration. He provided trustworthy guidance throughout. I should also note Mike organised (at a good price) some necessary work at the site (to prepare it for viewings) which was also really helpful. I should note all of this was achieved remotely (at the client's convenience). Other team members provided the same high standards of efficiency and support making it a very likeable firm. I also recommend Steeles Law of Diss (solicitor, Lorraine Olpin and administrator Alison Beales) for ensuring completion within 28 days of the auction (the team worked well with Gazes). Thank you Mike and the team at Gazes and best wishes for continued future success.

Awful experience ! They hold up items for you to bid on let you pay for items & sign that you have taken correct lots then phone you after you have left to say you have taken the wrong lot ! Demand that you take it back saying you must collect what you won which was a box off rubbish not what was being held up when placed your bid. It is very obvious that they favour certain bidders who are regulars . They use the excuse that they are busy I would avoid to be honest a lot off the items are tat you will be better off looking in charity shops I saw someone pay £15 for a bottle you can buy in QD for £2.99 the inteligance of several people there was defiantly lacks not !

Buyers beware - Maybe I was unlucky.
Left an absentee bid on an item. Looked in the results and no show. Telephoned T W gaze to be told there was no reserve price but 'My bid was unsuccessful as the auctioneer felt the item was woth more'. The item subsequently appeared in the next sale and sold for £2 more than my original first bid. I raised an official complaint and the Senior Partner advised that i was advised incorrectly as there was a reserve which was reduced at the second auction. I have no way of knowing whether this explanation was any more accurate than the first incorrect one. The Senior Partner also added that they have sale clients who do not leave a reserve price, however the auctioneer will not sell at a price that they feel does not reflect the value of the item.

Amazing place! Its huge - Always 3 auction rooms full, sometimes a fourth! Outside meadows too! We have won lots of bits here for helping us set up our little Tea Room in a neighbouring village. Now we are open we miss our little trips here every Friday, where we used to spend all day. However we do pop along on Thursday evenings to view still, as you never know what you might find - and there's always something! We just have to bid on line now. Its just a great place to go and have some fun and of course purchase some beautiful antiques, furniture, plants and lots of bits and bobs!
The staff are always very friendly and they make the whole experience of bidding such fun! It can be quite entertaining sometimes too!!
Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Came all the way from London to collect a few items, guy with glasses who helped with getting the items was not friendly....me and my Mrs felt quite uncomfortable while we waited because of one lady who works there giving us very bad looks and stares. Made us feel very unwanted and very rude as we are customers after all. Maybe it was because I wear a turban and the color of my skin????. Will not be purchasing a single item from this auction house again due to this!!
If they really don't like non white people maybe they should have a sign on their door saying no colored people because that's how they made us feel with how they were looking at us and speaking to us!!!!!!. We went to durrants afterwards to collect items from there and they were very friendly!!!! Avoid if you are colored and collecting .
PS when I was given my ITems the man held both swords in his hand with no care for the items and handed then to me to just rush me off outside. Felt very unwelcome throughout.

Many of the working staff at TW Gaze seem to have an obnoxious attitude of entitlement, and only begrudgingly will offer assistance to customers. The are completely uninterested in providing any decent level of customer service. On many occasions, I have observed auction room staff spending most of their time chatting with colleagues and customers who are their friends, and the average punter will receive filthy looks when they interrupt to try to collect their goods or ask a question. Many staff have a haughty, aloof and entirely unfriendly attitude –as if they are the proprietors of the valuable goods they sell, rather than just low-paid auction-house employees. It is so annoying to spend considerable amounts of money, plus the hefty commissions taken from both buyers and sellers, only to be so poorly treated by rude staff in the administration office and especially in the auction halls. I give this business ZERO stars for poor customer service.

I will not be bidding at TW Gaze again because of the way they handle absentee / live bidding. I keep finding I am unable to bid only to receive excuses and apologies afterwards. Apart from the annoyance factor for me, I feel sorry for the vendors who thereby do not obtain the hammer prices they should. If I were to want to sell anything at auction locally, I would go to Durrants in Beccles.
