They say that moving house is one of the top 3 stressful life events. We wanted to relocate from Kent to Suffolk and 2 months into what we thought was our perfect house, it all fell through.
Then we went to view a house being marketed by Jade & her team at Whitltley Parish. Sally very kindly showed us around & was very patient, answering all of our questions about the area. We made an offer immediately & Jade was supportive from that very first day. Nothing was ever too much trouble & we were kept up to date every step of the way. In a slow housing market, you need an agency that's going to work hard for you.
Whittley Parish in Diss did just that for me; from realistic pricing guidance, through thoughtful and professional presentation of my property, to active marketing of my home. This last point is so important - any agency can post pictures on Rightmove and forget about it - Whittley Parish proactively reviewed and marketed my home until I achieved my sale.
Then, their excellence in communication came through. They kept in touch throughout the conveyancing process and ensured it was a positive (and pleasant as it can be) experience for both me and my buyer.
The whole team are honest, kind and very professional. It's been a pleasure working with Alex, Jade, Louise and Jordan. I can't thank them enough for their support.

I was so over the moon with the Whittley and parish at first but sadly since moving into our new rental property they’ve really let us down.
We’ve had loads of problems mostly because they’ve not ensured this property was ready to be rented and whenever we talk to them the attitude is that of inconvenience. I can barely get through a sentence without being interrupted and spoken over.
I will say that Sophie has been an absolute star though, she’s been apologetic for the problems and sorted whatever she was able to (she’s in admin so it’s not her role to deal with management but she helped anyway when other staff were off).
I’m so disappointed with the property management in WP. They really should have done a proper check of the property and they should show more compassion to people that couldn’t even shower in their new home for two weeks. Even now we are going from scolding hot to freezing cold water and they don’t care to chase up the boiler replacement.
I’d never treat anyone like that. I think this is the fundamental problem that has been forgotten entirely by certain members of WP. We are not paperwork in your 9 to 5 … this is our home and when you leave for the day having been unhelpful we are still left dealing with whatever problems haven’t been solved. And I can guarantee that if it was their private parts being scolded when the shower went from scolding hot to freezing cold they’d care a lot more about getting stuff fixed…
Would really appreciate a little more enthusiasm and understanding from the rental management team. For example, listening to the whole problem before interrupting, saying sorry and reassuring you’ll help solve the problem with a brief explanation of what you’re doing to do, taking responsibility for things going wrong or being an issue, give timelines and updates (even if it’s just a one line email saying we have chased whatever up) and definitely not leaving contact details for me to chase contractors up. It’s not my job to manage this property. It’s yours.

Unfortunately had a very tainted experience with the company. After purchasing a house through them it came very quickly to light that a plumber they recommended to the sellers had faked a boiler service certificate to push the sale through despite the boiler not in a working state. They also failed in the process to disclose issues with the house that they were in knowledge of, only to be told they had forgot to mention it in the first viewings. When speaking to the company owner he couldn’t have cared less that his employees had allowed a plumber to fake something that can be a serious health and safety risk - this plumber we were told also services their rental properties supposedly which in itself is worrying as they are not gas safe compliant at all. Took no ownership and lied constantly so would not recommend and would always use your own tradespeople as you cannot trust anyone.

I had an appointment on September 13th at 2 PM to view a property organized by Whittley Parish. I informed the agent that I was traveling from London and would leave as soon as possible; Google Maps estimated a 90-minute drive. Unfortunately, due to several roadworks, the drive took over 2 hours, and I arrived 17 minutes late.
When I called the agent to explain my delay, I was told that I had missed the appointment and should return back to London. Despite my efforts to reach them, the agent showed no concern whatsoever. there was no sympathy for the the inconvenience caused by the extended travel time. I was left feeling extremely frustrated by the lack of professionalism and empathy. In my opinion, and being friday the 13th, Lindsey needed to get back to her cauldron and could not make any exceptions.
It’s disappointing to have had such a negative experience with Whittley Parish. I plan to share my experience on social media to highlight how unprofessional their service was.

Highly recommended. I had purchased a new build property which was truly lovely but as I'd relocated away from my home town to try to retire, I found very quickly that I just couldn't live in Norfolk. Having tried one agent which I did end up regretting, I found Whitley Parish who managed to sell my new home in a matter of days after having very few viewings previously with the other agent. I did drop my price considerably from what I had purchased it at but that was my choice. Do choose Whitley Parish if you are seeking a good and honest agent who will work with you to achieve what you want to.
