I used VC Estates Bromley. Louis Bremner being the local agent. By far the best estate agent I’ve used in 40 years . Kept up to date regularly . He also chased the purchaser and both sets of solicitors when needed preempting my queries on numerous occasions. He was focused, up to date and knowledgeable. Vastly superior to the other local agents where you are treated as another number by an anonymous local representative who deals with numerous customers . Louis focus was such that we felt we had a genuine and personal service. Highly recommended even if he is not based in your local area as a lot was achieved by means of social media Nigel Parrington

It has been a pleasure to work with Ben from VC estates. It’s the first time I’ve sold a house which I once called home. Ben was very Confident and Knowledgeable about the marketplace. He reassured me he could sell my property… I like to think people buy from people and Ben is vey much a person you’d be happy to buy from. So I decided he was the person for the job. Marketed our house for 6 months with no success. They did try a couple of strategies and communicated well, but only when prompted, not very proactive. Had to pay extra for photography, had made my own corrections to their floorplan diagram as they'd omitted the garage, asked to reorder key particulars as they'd prioritized shutters over a double drive and garage, and the listing, for a short while, even had a virtual 3d tour attached to it for another propertyin the village. At one point they asked if we'd consider dropping to a previously discussed marketing price, which we had no record or recall of ever discussing, we listed it at their original valuation price. Seem to have plenty of success with other happy customers but just didn't work for us. We chose VC as they are based in the same village as our house but the local advantage didn't seem to help and their area of sales is vast. First dealing with a house sale in many years so took this as par for the course but the difference when we relisted with a Hailsham based company was astounding in terms of contact, proactive measures, quality of listing. Sorry VC, you just weren't anywhere near as good as the other guys.

Starting with a negative view of the state of the market, David was able to show me quickly what a good agent can do even during tough times. Dealing with him and the VC estates team is a breath of fresh air
Whilst he has not sold the house yet, he has got people through the door and each of them a serious prospective buyer. The first of these viewings was even before the property details were typed and approved! David and Alison are a pleasure to deal with and I fully expect he will find that right person and have an offer in place inside the next few weeks with the way in which they are performing. (So no pressure David.)
I receive regular update calls from David and he clearly understand the market in these difficult times. I can't recommend them highly enough.

One couldn't have wished for a more helpful and professional estate agent than when we met David at a recent viewing. He immediately put my partner and I at ease and was able to inform us of every aspect of the property, garden and surrounding area. Ideas of how to change the layout if we so desired were mentioned and he had even gone to the trouble of finding how much this would cost. After seeing all the rooms we were allowed to wander of on our own, which was really helpful and something I'd not experienced before when viewing a property. The seller is lucky to have him. I have been most impressed with VC Estates. David Foley has gone to great trouble to understand my particular requirements and very actively tried to match these to the properties he is marketing on behalf of his clients. This is a quality of service that you don't often find in the modern age and must be of equal benefit to both seller and purchaser. So much more than the usual post it on Rightmove and time will do the rest attitude commonly found elsewhere. He and his company actively market and provide a very friendly and professional service.

Peter and I met David last year at a house viewing - the very start of our journey to our new home. Altho we decided against that house, we were very impressed with his professional approach plus his rather wonderful sense of humour (a necessary ingredient - as we soon discovered - to survive the many challenges of buying and selling your home) and so, when it came to deciding which agent to use to put our house on the market 'Village and Country' was the obvious choice.
Viewings were organised quickly and efficiently and we were very pleased with the level of advice, support and guidance from David and Simon ... especially given that we had lived in the same house for 36 years and so weren't entirely sure what to expect!
What we didn't quite appreciate at that point was that, once offers have been made and accepted the work has only just begun and this is where Alison steps into the picture. We were kept fully informed every step of the way and Alison was always available to answer our many questions and remind us what we needed to do to keep things moving. We were involved in quite a long chain which was very stressful at times but the regular contact, reassurance and constant updates from Alison made the process much more bearable than it might otherwise have been.
We are now happily settling into our new home and can wholeheartedly recommend David and Alison as the dream team you need when you decide it's time to move. Annie and Peter
