Agent came and gave market appraisal. He seemed very keen but two weeks later property not photographed or put on Rightmove. A terrible waste of time. Added to which this is my late Fathers property which is emotional and stressful enough. The day before my Fathers Funeral the photographer changed his appointment 3 times followed by bombarding me with phonecalls, of whom I had to block! Terrible experience... Read more

Feel disappointed leaving this review as we had a really good agent (Shannon) at the start of our purchase. She was brilliant and always got back to us promptly, no complaints in regards to dealing with Shannon and this review is no way a reflection of her. If she hadn’t have gone on leave when we were completing, I probably wouldn’t be writing this as everything would have been in hand and our experience may have been a bit more positive and more like 5 stars. Since completion we haven’t heard from anyone in the branch other than a generic email which I find incredibly rude. Visited the Fox and Sons branch in Hailsham as our lawyer said the keys were ready for collection (no one had responded to my email and I’m starting to get concerned as to the whereabouts of our keys) and as expected they have no idea where the keys to our property are. Service from the branch was appalling. Disgusted to be told to get a copy from the tenant residing in the property. Tried phoning the branch to discuss concerns, call not picked up. Have emailed the branch and the branch manager (also on leave) as we would like copies of the keys to our house but still waiting to hear back, hopefully will hear back from them and get given the keys soon. Maybe when the branch manager returns from leave it might get sorted? We have bought property in Hailsham before through Taylor Engley and Angela Marden, both were brilliant, I will be contacting them when it comes time to sell.... Read more

Fox & Sons in Hailsham have done a great job selling our home in Lundy Walk. The first stage for us was speaking with Imran from Sequence Services (returning customer as hes great), Then we met David who valued the property & arranged for it to be listed online for sale. Fox & Sons arranged a photographer and the EPC certificate to be carried out at no extra cost. Every time a viewer booked a viewing, we recieved an email to give details which was helpful! We had 5/6 Viewings on one day (i think only 3 or 4 days after the listing went live online) where the property sold straight away! Claire phoned me the following day after recievng feedback from the viewers to pass on any offers & feedback given. Shannon/Annabel are great & helpful at answering questions & directing you to the correct person if the question needs to be asked to someone else (I had no idea what i was doing as this was our first sale!!) They're also good at giving the solicitors a nudge as/when needed! Its helpful having a team who are on the ball, who work fast when selling the property for you when you work full time & struggle to find the time to do the things/answer the emails as quickly as needed at times! We marketed our property through Hailsham Fox and Sons back in September 2019. As soon as we instructed them, they already had a few potential buyers lined up to view our home before even going to market. Within a few days, we received the highest offer (which we still really can’t believe) and the property was sold still before formally going to market! The entire team at Fox and Sons were just incredible to work with, always had our best interests in mind and helped us get our sale (and related purchase) through within four weeks. WOW- Even during these difficult times the first day Fox and Sons have 3 scheduled visits planned our property was sold for the maximum amount. Fox & Son have been more then helpful and understanding in selling our home in what can only be described as a difficult time for us. Our difficulty was in buying our new home which was under 10 years old and was built by a private builder. Our mortgage company needed an HSBC certificate or an architect certificate, none of which was available so we had to arrange an indemnity insurance which took quite a long time to process. Fox & Son were very helpful in assuring the buyers of our present property that we were going to complete even though it was taking a long time to process. I only have praise for them in making sure everything went as smoothly as was possible.... Read more

Really good service. I was concerned about how long the whole process would take but the staff were instrumental in pushing things forward. The property was marketed within days of meeting for a valuation and following an open day 3 offers were received. As the property was not mine and I lived out of town, staff assisted by meeting other professionals at the property whenever this was required. This saved me a great deal of hassle. The worst estate agents going! Telling their vendors that its best to " keep everything under the same roof" by scamming people into using their services ie mortgage advisor and solicitors so that they make more money and making people think its easier and better for everything to be done via themselves, which I can assure you it is not, from past experience dealing with solicitors and mortgage advisors. This agent did not even want to help me when I walked through the door to view a property, when I finally managed to get a viewing after countless phone calls ignore, I then wanted to offer, I walked into their office again later that day and surprisingly the same man was still not interested, I then noticed that this was the mortgage advisor and he told me that he could not deal with me and all agents were busy, however when I finally managed to get though and make an offer... it was the mortgage adviser who then wanted to deal with me and con me into using their services. he only wanted to deal with me once he knew I may be of interest to his pay packet! Working in the same industry I knew their game! We were the first people to view the property within 10 minutes of it appearing online, we offered £5,000 over the asking price and got told we were out bid by another buyer , who I can only imagine they did scam them into using their services hence why that offer got accepted and not ours. Now after waiting for months for the sale price to appear online, expecting it to be higher than our offer (as that was what I was told) it turns out it sold for the price that we offered anyway! Terrible agents, no common sense, only thing they care about is making money. Luckily we found our perfect home, not through Fox and Sons thankfully! I only feel for the poor vendors and buyers they are scamming!!... Read more
