Would love to give them a 5 star. They do work hard in chasing up information. Yet Towards the end, we found Leanne rude & hostile. Very sad. All our removal men were shocked. They heard everything…as I had my phone on loud speaker. Our lovely buyer came to the house to reassure me. She mentioned some of the comments she made to her. Moving day is not the time to let your professional approach slip so badly. Wish I had paid them after not before. It’s not always what you say but how you say it…that causes offence.... Read more

Fantastic work from Leanne and colleagues! We appointed whitakers to oversee sale/purchase of our house and the new one and they are brilliant. Utterly useless! Attempting to organise a viewing with Whitaker's is like trying to replicate the D-Day landings. They don't tailor the time and date to suit you but bizarrely to suit the house. They only do viewings of a certain house on one day, another on a different day. I work full time so took a day off especially to view houses. The girl who showed us around early in the morning (I say showed us around, she opened the front door and stood outside on her phone and couldn't answer a single question) admitted she didn't have much else on that day but for reasons unknown to man couldn't show us around any of the other properties we'd previously requested to see. I contacted them to say I was interested in the property we did view but I needed assurances some repairs would be done. I was told they would contact the landlord. I heard nothing for a few days and asked again to be told they had contacted the landlord but were awaiting a response. I waited another few days and phoned them to be told by a very rude woman who expected I should know the ins and outs of property law that I have to send all of the documents to them and pass the credit check before they can even speak to the landlord to see if they're going to make the house safe enough to live in! I managed to find the documents hidden on their website and sent them. I never got so much as an acknowledgment of receipt. After a week I gave up and went to someone competent. AVOID!... Read more

Whitakers make moving home how it should be and certainly break the stereotype of estate agents. Andy came and gave a realistic valuation, not too low just so they could look good selling your property quickly or too high to make it seem you’ll get more (who wouldn’t want to sell their home for more). This was because Andy came well prepared, bringing details of comparative properties and recently sold properties to back up his valuation to provide that balance between selling quickly but also maximising the potential return. Within a couple of days of instructing Whitakers, we had photographs taken, a draft brochure and the listing live - the premium package also gave us additional exposure and worked as the social media package is what actually prompted the viewing. Throughout the whole process Leanne kept us up to speed - she made the whole process stress free. Considering this is the biggest move we’ve made and were anxious about - she put us at ease. She chased the buyers and their solicitors for updates and then our own Solicitors and provided us with regular updates - having moved twice with two other agents before, Whitakers communication was superior and even when we rang the office and Leanne wasn’t free, you didn’t have to leave a message, the other team members seemed to understand the status of all their clients. Things go wrong and not all things are plain sailing, moving day came and once Leanne knew we were exchanging and completing on the same day, she stepped in to make sure we had regular updates through the day - again letting us focus on moving. And the morning after we moved into our new home I even received an email from Andy wishing us all the best in our new home. These small details made a huge impact. The staff in branch are a credit to Whitakers and Andy has done brilliant building a team that put the customer first. I’d have no issues at all recommending Whitakers. Great service and great value - you certainly get what you pay for and more with the team at Whitakers. It’s a huge thank you for us.... Read more
