UPDATE: About 2 hours after I posted this the rubbish was cleared. It did take a couple of email complaints but it was sorted without further discussion really quickly and efficiently so I have changed my 1 star to 5. Making sure my complaint was dealt with was absolutely the key to a very happy tenant.
I moved into a house managed by whitegates and have complained that there is rubbish in the yard left over from previous tenants or when the house was cleared. I physically can not use my bins because of this, I can't even walk in the yard because of the rubbish dumped all over the floor. I asked them to remove it and they won't schedule a time or date to do this. They say it will be done when some one is passing. Its absolutely disgusting and I have followed all the procedures correctly. They have told me it isn't an emergency and so therefore, not a problem. I will end up having to pay someone to remove it myself because they have made it very clear that they don't care. So, don't bother with Whitegates if you have other options. Their rude and just don't give a damn. I would give them a minus 5 stars if I could.

I have recently completed the purchase of my property with Whitegates Sefton.
My overall experience of this estate agents has been that of excellent practice from start to finish.
Given the current climate in terms of mortgage interest rate uncertainty, I found myself valuing the knowledge and experience this branch has to offer.
James Lacken is the branch manager. What he doesn't know about buying and selling houses isn't worth knowing - his impressive understanding of the conveyancing process was worth its weight in gold, and I can't thank him enough.
I had many questions and needed clarity around several issues. He answered emails promptly, and even if he wasn't in the office (out at a viewing), he was quick to return my calls as soon as he could.
I am so impressed by his responsiveness and readiness with information, but most of all by his attention to detail. The process was not only smooth, but indeed quick - James really gets things done and done properly.
His colleague Tom is an asset to the team - not only is he reliable and diligent, he is also incredibly warm and friendly. I was very grateful for his involvement in the process.
People often say buying a house is the most stressful thing you can do, and yes, it is a huge undertaking. However, James and his team made the whole experience as easy as they could for me. Thank you.

I cannot fault Tom at Whitegates Sefton. He communicated with us weekly as well as the appointment confirmations, which came through this and fast. As we live in Australia, he dealt with our daughter as much as possible. He helped with any additional resources we needed to get through to completion and we managed to settle within 12 weeks, which is amazing based on us being so far away. Would most definitely recommend Tom and Whitegates to friends and family.

We used Whitegates for our sale and purchase. We also used Carl, the in house mortgage advisor. Carl has been incredible throughout. Our mortgage application wasn't the most straight forward due to some recent health issues but Carl kept us informed throughout and remained confident in getting us a product which he did. Carl also arranged our insurance for us and again was so efficient. Would highly recommend

I cannot recommend Whitegates Sefton enough. Tom and James have been nothing but helpful, understanding, patient and efficient since day one. Our solicitor wasn't the most helpful or the greatest at communication at times, however, Tom and James went above and beyond at keeping us updated and ensuring our purchase went as smooth as possible. One of the best companies I have had the pleasure of dealing with in a long time. Thank you Whitegates Sefton!

straight forward enough as a sale. Put pressure to use their sollicitors even though I didn't want to and advised how much quicker it would be so did as told.
Didn't inform when buyers mortgage was not valid and they were shopping around for a 2nd one.
With surveys once again they use their own contractor for quotes when the buyer did not want to pay for specialist survey which causes further delays.
In comparison to the experience I had with another estate agent, it felt like they want their fee and any extras they can.

Overall a good experience and my particular thanks to Tom who effectively ran point on the sale and remained professional throughout. Communication at times was a bit difficult but you also need to consider this against the back drop of a very busy estate agents (understandibly so!) who are working hard to satisy the wants and needs of all their customers.

We have just bought our first house through whitegates sefton, I have to say we didn't know much about what we were doing but Cameron and Tom were amazing with helping us out and talking us through everything. They were always on the other end of the phone if we had questions about anything and went above and beyond for us. Would definitely recommend whitegates!

I have recently just bought a house through white gates! Camron and Tom helped me and got things pushing through! Very friendly and approachable. My only flaw would be the solicitors recommendation I found them super slow and lack of communication between sellers and buyers solicitors which caused a-bit of frustration. But it still went through in a reasonable amount of time after pushing.
