Be prepared to take legal action trying to get your deposit back from these people. When I left the home I lent through this office, and it was time to get my deposit back. They lied to my wife, saying the deposit had been processed and it had not, and they began either ignoring our phone calls or emails and not giving calls back when messages were left assuming we would stop trying to get our rightfully owed money back. Only until I made an official complaint through the "Tenancy Deposit Scheme" office did I get my deposit back within i think 2 days of them being contacted. Crazy after trying to get my deposit back for over a month did I only get it quickly when authorities got involved.

I would not recommend using this company when you need to rent/let a home while stationed at Mildenhall or Lakenheath.
Yes they are great at finding you a property and at taking the rental money every month. However when it’s time for your rental deposit to be returned - it does not happen!
We have been waiting for our rental deposit to be returned since January 2024 on a property that was rented in Mundford.
We were told that our full deposit would be returned after we did our final walk through of the property.
We still have not received the deposit. Every time we call the office we are told that the deposit is being transferred but it never happens. We have spoken to Daniel Juniper, Richard Thurston, and Aliya Vadillo. It should not be this difficult to get a deposit into our account. There has been zero follow up by this office to resolve this matter.
Every time we call the office from the US our cell phone carrier charges us international rates on an average of $100 USD! It would be great if this company would take the time and spend their money to call us to confirm this has been resolved!
If you are in the US military please Do Not use this company if you need to rent/let a home!!!!

I can’t emphasize how strongly I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS BRANCH! Absolutely infuriated with their service! I made it clear what my criteria were when searching for a residence and trusted that they would honor that. Me and my wife wanted a home that would be pet friendly and they flat out lied. Upon signing the contract and meeting with the land lord they were completely thrown off and unaware that we wanted a dog. Additionally they said that the price of having a pet was already fixed into the rent and deposit which I would later learn to be false. They had absolutely zero communication between the landlord and failed to notify us that we weren’t permitted to enter the residence until a certain time which later became an huge issue! When calling them to confront this issue my agent always seems to not be in and won’t return my calls.

William H Brown agents were incredibly helpful and respectful throughout the house hunting experience. Moving is a dreadful experience, and a logistical nightmare, but they were there to assist me and my family with our needs! They are very quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and are willing to accommodate schedule needs if when possible. Their website is quickly updated to reflect houses available for LET so you shouldn’t be too concerned with lagging data, though they would certainly answer any questions you have via telephone/email. Though my family and I did not find a house that suited our needs with them, they were pleasant throughout the entire endeavor. If they DID have a house I would have no qualms going through their agency.

He spent the time with us at viewings and had a very good knowledge of the properties and the area. We didn't feel rushed, and arranging a second viewing was easy, and he accommodated this around our schedule. Finlay was efficient with putting our offer forward to the seller, and the negotiations were all done promptly. I was impressed with Finlay from start to finish. He worked with us in a speedy manner, and nothing was too much trouble. He would call with updates and recommended we use the in-house conveyancing team, which were brilliant. I also used Ruarai for our mortgage application, and he also made the process easy, and nothing was too much trouble. Been brilliant.
I'm a first time buyer and as soon as I got in contact for a viewing with Cliff (sorry if that's wrong, will update if it is!) I felt at ease, he booked the viewing the same day out of hours and insisted I speak with their mortgage advisor. (wasn't too keen at first)
I got in a meeting I didn't particularly want with Matt (mortgage advisor mentioned above) about mortgages and he explained everything so well and answered questions I didn't know I had which was fantastic. Went out of his way to keep in contact over weekend period and genuinely using his own life experience, made sure I fully understand all that is going.
I am still in progress of buying but at the moment I really think I am in good hands.
If you are thinking of buying in the area I do recommend getting their opinion.

While we assured them we would meet the parameters of our lease, they ghosted us and wouldn’t show us any other properties, even though our rental subjected us to nightly domestic disturbances from our neighbors and stray animals wandering into our yard attacking our pets. From a landlords point of view don’t use William H Brown Brandon. They don’t regularly check your property, rude, we specifically said no pets but I found pets in my property but William H Brown Brandon did nothing about it. At the end of each tenancy it’s cost me a lot of money to fix the property as William H Brown Brandon didn’t manage our property’s as they should even though we was paying them a management fee. If I could give 0 stars I would. We have now had to moved letting agents.

Dan initially showed us a few houses, all good options that met the criteria, and once he understood our needs even brought in other listings we didn't find. Being Americans, he was very patient and helpful with lots of questions and information about letting in the area.
Dan met all of our needs as a letting agent, but he went above and beyond with the little things: with having a dog it was more challenging find housing, but Dan fielded the heavy work, and let us bring our dog to sign paperwork, see some houses, and was generally so nice she now misses him. I listed my property with WHB in Brandon on boxing day 2021, we accepted an offer from an investor on the 18th January, we are now 9 months in and no closer to completion. The service from the branch has been shocking, they show little interest in pushing this through, they have told lies about if Mortgage offers were issued or with the solicitors which delayed us a month. This has literally been a dreadful experience and we are no closer to completion. They sell the "joined up approach" of both buyers and sellers using their panel of solicitors and mortgage brokers to speed the process up and yet they cant get hold of each other. They are a joke and I certainly wouldn't recommend any of it.

AVOID like the plague.
Trying to sell my property. Valuation done ok then I requested they put my property on the market & take photos. Agent came out for another valuation??took photos on I phone which were no good .
1st viewing the agent turned up 20 minutes late by which time the viewers had gone.
Manager states that viewings aren't in the contract!!?
Had an open day & I rejected all the low offers. When I accepted an offer I was told they then needed to verify the man's details!!! After I had to phone the agents 3 days later.
I have told the manager my grievances to which he says I am still liable to pay them William H Brown their fees if I sell through another agent as its a contract.
This company is run by sequence through Mc Connells which is a property auctioneer.
Unprofessional Manager who will not cancel the contract even though he's been told my grievances and a lack of trust.
Don't deal through this company & don't go to the Manager with any problems as he simply doesn't care or accept any responsibility.
And funny enough today my property has been removed from the market with no communication from the Manager about this!

The home is very spacious, in a quiet and safe location, has friendly neighbors, and is close to plenty of delicious restaurants. US military be warned they will lie about the rent price and demand you to pay the new price or cancel the application which will result in loss of application deposit. I spoke to pepa and she basically said “ if you don’t like it cancel the application” they also have fake reviews if they do you a “favor” in exchange they will ask you for a positive review. Don’t get locked in with them they will also take advantage of your lack of local knowledge. They will also charge a hugeeee deposit for no reason, then ask for it on the spot if you don’t have it they will call every day until you do. All they are is Money crazy and just want a check, I am so glad I never went through with the deal, try working with Balmorfe if you want better service and a overall better less shady business. Landlords also beware they will take advantage of you and do all kinda of shady practices in your name and turn the table on you when a problem arises.

This is a Sequence UK Ltd agency branch. Sequence gave me hell trying to move out and it was through this specific agency where I had my issues. During the winter months when my water heater broke (which happened every year due to shoty repairs) I had no hot water to bath my toddlers for 2+ weeks. They wanted me to use boiled water in a tub just so I could wait longer for repairs. The same company wanted to take ridiculous amount of my deposit for issues that had been brought up to management or have evidence of previously existing. But if you try telling them that, they wont have it. The level of mupettry that goes on here deserves a Tony Award.

I have previously used another branch of William Brown over the years, buying and selling houses and they were always professional, efficient, friendly and always helpful.
The Brandon branch are the other end of the spectrum. Underhand, not truthful and will drag you out to the end of any contract.
If you want to waste your time and money and have a very stressful experience use William Brown Brandon.
If not, use any other estate agent you can find, it will be worth it..!!!

And I wanted to be in a brand new home for myself before my first born is born (expected date June 2019) . Recently used WH Brown Brandon to let my property. Upon initial valuation Richard and Pippa both attended, Richard was knowlegable and very informative, he took great care in taking photos of the property and made them look really nice for me. Pippa was very friendly and continued to keep me involved and up to date with what was happening throughout the whole process. Pippa was pro-active and as a result had my property letted within a week. I was very pleasantly surprised by this and by the level of customer provided by her despite being busy. Would definitely recomend using W H Brown, could not fault them!

Buying a house in the UK is not an easy task. For anyone earning their salary in a currency other than pounds sterling, it can mean putting down a 25% deposit, ensuring you have at least a year left on your UK VISA, establishing residency and building a credit history in the UK. As an American teacher employed at RAF Lakenheath, these countless hoops deterred more than a string of mortgage advisors across Norfolk and Suffolk from offering their assistance.
