YM became our agents for our property when we emigrated in 2013. Our experience started out great and the member of staff who
arranged our tenancy was friendly,
professional & thorough. Our house was fully renovated prior to renting as we weren’t expecting to move. Our first tenants,
who YM assured us had references, left it in a terrible state. We stipulated none smoking tenants and when we came to visit 2 years into the tenancy, the property was wrecked. The kitchen ceiling was yellow with smoke stains & the tenant had tried to paint over it,
the house smelt of smoke, there was damage to the woodwork by the dog, the spare bedroom mattress was ruined by a child’s urine, there were child’s drawings on the bedroom wall & the list goes on. The property was supposed to be inspected by YM staff every 3 months so why wasn’t all the damage and uncleanliness picked up during inspections. The tenants did a moon light flit leaving rent owed. The second tenants refused to pay their rent on time, removed the bed from the spare room and painted a wall without consent. We were really upset, disappointed and let down by YM in how they managed our property.

Sophie helped me from finding a property to view in my budget, to move-in date and I am very appreciative. A month later and things are still going well thanks to their knowledge and helpfulness.
