I think it's a breath of fresh air to deal with people who are friendly, can spare the time and are professional and in a fairly fast paced industry are efficient, Seems like a minimum requirement but it's not amongst estate agents (I deal with a few as a landlord/investor)
If I was selling my house i would want/expect this level of service I received here - these guys (Julie Anne & Maya) do this (night and day compared to others I work with)

We used Your Move for selling (Edinburgh) and purchasing (Livingston). Maya from the Edinburgh branch made the impossible, possible for us. Our offer was accepted for our dream house, therefore, we had to move very quickly with selling our flat. I first contacted Maya on Monday, the same week on Friday our flat was already on the market. Within 4 days she managed to meet me in person at my flat, arrange a home report and media package with a virtual tour, on Saturday we had our first viewing. We had several offers on the flat and we accepted the offer within 9 days from the day the flat was posted online. Maya was very professional, helpful, patient, and prompt with answering any queries, was very transparent about the cost and what was included within the price, so there was no surprise at the end. She made the overall experience very smooth and we cannot recommend her enough.

I recently let a place through Your Move, and the agency is the best I have yet dealt with. The staff are friendly and it was a pleasure dealing with them. Callum in particular is a star, a total professional, who was constant communication during some refurbishment prior to moving in, is always responsive to any enquiries, flexible, friendly, and knows exactly what is going on with the properties he is dealing with.
Letting a place is always stressful, and the staff at Your Move (and Callum in particular) made it a pleasing and friendly experience.

We got in touch with YourMove about letting our property with them, and Callum went above and beyond from moment one, making this initially daunting process feel easy to understand. We felt genuine support and care from Callum, and his regular check ups kept us on track with our tasks. We cannot recommend Callum enough, and only due to a last minute change in personal circumstances we weren’t in a position to let out our property at this stage. This review is targeted towards tenants, I'm sure if you have the money to buy or sell with Your Move you'll probably be fine.

The initial inventory performed was of a very low standard, failing to spot several issues I had to add onto the report, plus others I gradually discovered over the course of living in the accommodation.
I was lied to about the landlord being "really good", as this was something I specifically raised as a concern when moving into the property. Over the course of the tenancy, while I never had direct contact with the landlord, everything that was relayed back to me showed a complete disdain for tenants.
A neighbour notified me of an issue with water damage which may have been caused by a leak in the property I was occupying. I immediately notified Your Move and heard nothing back for almost 2 weeks, before they suddenly got in touch (during working hours) asking for the landlord's contractor to get immediate access to the property so they check for the leak. They respected my refusal, however the fact this even happened shows a clear disregard for tenant privacy.
I was notified that the property I was occupying was to be sold (due to landlord supposedly having a serious change of circumstances) and I received 6 months notice to vacate. When I found replacement accommodation I emailed Your Move with a very simple, 2 sentence question about whether or not my notice period could be shortened. Your Move incorrectly took this as me submitting my notice and almost immediately I received an avalanche of documents about end-of-tenancy, despite me not actually being ready, and no notice actually being submitted by myself. This caused an insane amount of stress, as I'm sure only people familiar with the diabolical renting situation in Edinburgh would know.
The check out condition report felt completely arbitrary, as there was one instance of the "Decorative Order" of a bedroom changing from "Good" at check in, to "fair" at check out. Nothing was changed in that room!
During checkout my opinion of Your Move only lessened further, as the landlord decided to dip into the security deposit to supposedly help redecorate for the upcoming sale, despite the flat being almost universally left in good condition. Naturally, when the flat went up for sale there was no redecoration done.
Your Move were absolutely useless mediating between myself and the landlord when it was time for the deposit to be released. I got the impression that Your Move, and by extension landlords, will happily just do whatever they want in the hope that the tenant doesn't have the time (or money) to appeal, or go to court.
Ultimately, Your Move Leith only care about their landlords, and fail to hold them to any sort of accountability when it comes to treating tenants with respect and decency. If you really need rented accommodation, then sure, go with these people. Otherwise, please choose anyone else.
When you start renting a property with Your Move you receive a lot of pressure to write a Google review, rather than during or at the end of the tenancy when the feedback might actually be worth something. Something to note with the amount of 5 stars...

Your Move have been consistently helpful, responsive and also very personable, despite the stressful situation in Edinburgh with so many people looking to rent and so few flats. Callum made the whole process from (online) viewing to moving in really easy, kept me up to date on progress of applications, paperwork etc, which is a massive contrast to the other estate agents I've been in contact with. A nice balance between attentiveness of private landlords and the benefits/protections of a property management agency. Also the portals that Your Move use are really handy and easy to use. I've already recommended this place to some colleagues in Edinburgh, would recommend them to anyone else thinking about letting with them too.
Oh and the moving-in pack was amazing, it even had a Rituals shower gel in?!

Initially hard to get hold of to arrange a viewing, took several calls before getting through to someone. Weren't very knowledgeable in the property but did take away questions to get back to me, however, I did have to remind them about a few. Constant emails on property's that might suit me even though i had already had an offer accepted on one via them. Tried unsubscribing multiple times and every time i seem to be back on their mailing list even after my property purchase has now been complete for over a month and has led me to actually leave the poor review they deserve. Worst of all, on the day of keys collection I turned up to met by a closed branch an hour and a half earlier than their actual closing time and was left hours without any way to contact someone from that specific branch before finally being told no I would have to come back tomorrow to get the keys. Luckily I had somewhere to go that night but would hate to think what someone who didnt would do in that situation. Tried to push blame to the solicitor but ultimately they should be diligent enough to know when a property they are selling is due to close and give people prior notice they will be shutting earlier than their official hours if that is the case.

I wouldn't normally write a review of an estate agent, but this one needs to be written. The best experience I've ever had renting through a letting agent, with Tony at Your Move. Honestly, a cut about the rest. I also want to give a shout out to Ronan, who helped me throughout as well, and Maya. A really friendly office of people, a really up-to-date way of applying and monitoring your application (with an online portal), and Tony was really friendly and helpful, both during the application, signing the lease, and after I moved in (a few wee things that needed updated once I moved in, and Tony was available by email and got back to me straight away on the day). The flat is a very high standard, and I trust Your Move as a great letting agent in Edinburgh that have a high standard of both their letting process, and the properties they manage.

Best & Most Professional Estate Agent Experience
Julie Anne provides a full, 5 star service and she heads up an amazing team in her Estate Agency on Leith Walk. She and her colleagues provided the best service I have ever experienced through the many properties I have purchased over the last 30 years. They are all genuine, friendly and so helpful and they clearly love their jobs and each other which shines!
I went in for a browse a couple of weeks ago and ended up buying the most incredible apartment, it is an absolute gem and I am totally delighted!
I plan to purchase more properties in the next year or so and am confident Julie Anne will help me find what I am looking for..top marks!

If I was able to leave 0 stars I would. Shocking service. I enquired online about a property they were advertising, no response. I phoned and got a very rude man on the phone. I was given no options for viewing, I was told a time and nothing else. I was also asked a ridiculous amount of personal details to simply view the property and get a copy of the home report. Nowhere else I have viewed through has asked more than my name, phone number and email. Asking about my current residence and budget and other info is unnecessary. It is my information and not information that should concern anyone else to simply view a property. I was advised I could not speak to a manager. I also was advised I would be sent a copy of the home report which I still haven't received which I initially asked for days ago. I have received no communcation, not even an address which the advisor refused to provide over the phone. Shocking service, I dread to think how difficult it would be to buy through them as viewing a property is impossible.

Your Move was the only company we considered to sell our property. Thanks to their connections with other major estate agencies, they offer the biggest, nationwide range of potential buyers. Tomasz and Duncan did something incredible with selling our property within 2 days with the really satisfactory outcome for us. They helped us during the whole process prior to the sale and were always happy to offer us an advice. We never thought that selling the property can be so simple and hassle-free. We believe that for Tomasz and Duncan only the sky is the limit.

Not only the person on the phone (twice we called, hoping a different person would be nicer) was very inflexible for viewing options, but actually rude and arrogant to us: they just did not sound like they wanted to sell anything and when we called them on it, they scoffed and used insults (1st time) and hung up (2nd time).

After meeting three top estate agents , I wasn't happy with their valuation , didn't think they gave its true value, which is one of the reasons I decided to go with U move .On entry I found the staff to very helpful , friendly, making me feel at ease .
