Many thanks to Josh, the lettings manager at YOUR MOVE Exmouth and equally thanks to Esamee, the lettings negotiator.
Both definitely deserve a lot of praise for their help in finding me new tenants for the next year and this for BOTH of my properties.
Not only did they listen exactly to all my various requirements and rent expectations, but also they went out their way to take new pictures and list the properties early in the year and all with great attention to detail. They kept me up to date with all progress made and always acted in a very professional manner.
As a result, in the shortest of time, they got me new tenants for both properties for next season and at the rent levels that I was hoping for.
Also they help me with any potential legal and accounting issues that I may have and do so throughout the year and hence I am really happy with their various services and their can-do approach and would highly recommend them to anyone, looking for help with all aspects of property letting, especially also with these somewhat more complex student rental properties.

Hello, just giving some feedback on service from a letting point of view. Found process very laborious. Had to continually chase agents about things. Sorting out contract taken ages! should only take 1-2 days to sort a contract (standard templates for these things). dealing with different people at the office all the time. contract lots of errors - no standard clause on notice period. would not recommend to a potential landlord looking to let their house quickly.

Efficient when you’re moving in to one of their rented properties, I’ll give them one star for that. When you’re moving out however, it’s the total opposite.
-We had no reply when we submitted our notice to leave except an automated email to advise that another department would be in touch. They never got in touch.
-Your Move didn’t inform our poor landlord that we were moving out, he found out from us just over a week before we vacated the property. That made for a very awkward conversation and neither of us should have been put in that position.
-They arranged several viewings and didn’t inform us until the day that they were happening - despite the fact that legally they are required to provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. When I queried this on the phone, I was nonchalantly advised that another member of staff ‘should’ have let us know. The woman I spoke to could not have sounded like she cared less if she’d tried and provided no apology.
-We handed in the keys over two weeks ago and new tenants have moved into the property. Despite this, we are yet to hear anything about receiving our deposit back, which is over a thousand pounds. We emailed them to chase it and was told another department would be in touch. SUPRISE, they haven’t been in touch and we still don’t have our deposit. It’s inexcusable.
I strongly do not recommend using Your Move, they are absolutely awful.

What a complete shame how things turned out with Yourmove. The staff were very friendly and helpful but the overall experience wasn't acceptable. When i moved in with Yourmove everything went well. First class service. However when I moved out and it was not a good experience. When you come to move out they get the property inspected to make sure its at the standard when moved in. If the landlord wouldn't like to do it then it is down to the tenant to pay for which is unfair. I don't see why its the tenants responsibility to pay for something that the landlord has requested.
I was told by a member of staff that if i move out early enough and return the keys then I will be entitled to some money back on my rent. So obviously I rushed everything and spent all weekend moving and cleaning so i could get as much back as possible. Surprise surprise I didn't get any money back and when i spoke to my landlord he said " Yourmove don't have the right to offer you any money back that is between Landlord and tenant.
Another problem was from the date i moved out to the date the house was inspected there was a few days gap. And i then find out that Yourmove had allowed the new tenants in the house to measure up with their kids. So now if they had brought in any dirt or damage i was responsible as they shouldn't of been let in the house until after the inspection.
When the inspection came back it was worded in such a way that it made it seem as if it was left in a bombsite. They also made a point of saying that there was leaves left in a garden path. I will add that this was October so you can expect to see some leaves on the ground. I was fortunate enough that my Landlord and I got on well and when he does his checks on the house he said from what he read he thought it was going to be a lot worse than what it was.
I had two cats also in the house and when you come to leave you have to have the house fumigated to make sure of no fleas. Which is understandable. What they then add is that they keep some of your deposit for 3 months in case of any fleas. Apparently if any fleas arrive in that time they then investigate to see where the fleas had come from. My advice is.... don't get it fumigated if you know your flea free as they keep hold of your money anyway. Make sure you don't forget about it either 3 months down the line as the landlord doesn't rush to send you the money back. As soon as your move get the chance to abandon you they will and leave you on your own.
Its a shame as i saw them be amazing and helpful but that's only because your giving them business. When you leave they really couldn't care less.

Is there was a 0, I would of put that. Nothing but rubbish experience from the moment I signed up till now. They don't seem like they want to help and never would recommend them to anyone if asked. I have been so patient after so many problems but there is a limit.

Where do I start with this supposed rated company..Having had them deal with renting our property while overseas and having a tenant leave our property damaged and with unpaid bills in April,here we are August back in the country still having to chase our claim of deposit! They have been unhelpful to say the least never returning our phone messages or emails which we left on numerous occasions absolute disgrace!..PLEASE BE WARNED if you are thinking of using this company and branch for rentals.

What can I say about this awful estate agent, well, plenty actually. Having been a student for 5 years and dealt with plenty of letting agents I can say confidently that Your-Move managed to be far far worse than any student letting agent - which is impressive. I was lied to when viewing the property. The property was in major disrepair and all I was told by multiple Your-Move employees was "sorry but the landlord is our client and we act in their best interests". No due care and attention is placed on tenants. Which you would find odd being that their fees are extortionate. I have recently taken their landlord to court and won - it was mentioned that the letting agents role in this case was unimpressive to say the least. I wouldn't sell, rent or even consider working with your-move or any of the countrywide agents of which they are part. The agent is now being reported to trading standards over the tactics they use to encourage tenants into flats - mainly the false promises.

If you like being lied to and miss lead, Your Move is definitely for you!
I am terribly disappointed with the service I have received.
The girls dealing with leasing my property were friendly and professional, I don't want to take that away from them. However, given incorrect information, intentionally or not. It has left a bad impression.
I am a big believer that if you can make things right after any negative situation in any business, you will come out with some credibility.
Unfortunately this hasn't happened. My first dealing with an estate agent has confirmed the stereotype!
The tenants that are now in my flat approached me before they viewed the property and I let Your Move keep them!!
They are happy, they have their paycheck. They don't care about you.
Definitely do your research, there are plenty of other agencies out there.

I viewed a property with these people and I checked with them I had sufficient income, my pensions. I was informed that I was so I parted with £350. A week went by and nothing, so I phoned and was informed I had failed referencing, never happened in my life. I began dialogue with them asking for a report as I could not find any reference to a credit check on my Experian account. I had sufficient funds as I was given a mortgage shortly after,by Nationwide no problem. I never got satisfaction from Yourmove in Exmouth and was treated with indifference, they said I signed to acknowledge that the tenant fees were non refundable. I consider them to be dishonest and disreputable to put it mildly. They eventually returned £90 and said it was a gesture of goodwill, I never did get the report which supposedly said I failed and I do not believe it exists. Furthermore they did not even have the professionalism to notify me, they just stole my hard earned cash, bullies in my opinion.

I have recently been in touch with your move to set up rented accommodation for my brother in law. I can honestly say it was the most easiest, stress free process. All done online and only a total of 10 mins spent in the branch. I have a 1 year old and run a nail salon so time management is crustal and Kayley was absolutely fantastic dealing with everything for me to fit around my busy schedule. Can’t recommend them enough. The house is spotless, tea, coffee, milk and biscuits all left on arrival in the kitchen. I give them 10/10 well done ???? x
