Had a viewing booked in for Saturday. No confirmation but got to the property at the time of the appointment but no agent around. Called seymours three times while waiting outside over 40 minutes and was told someone would call back each time...no one did, even until now.
James and his team handled our sale and the purchase of our new home as the market took a dip, and then coronavirus came on the scene. They were all very helpful and communication was generally good. As the move date drew near with contracts exchanged, lockdown happened. Nonetheless, James and his team kept things moving. They did a good job and we'd recommend them to anybody looking for a reliable and trustworthy estate agent for either selling or buying.
Good overall however there was one thing I asked them to do, that was actually the most important thing to me, which didn’t happen consistently. I moved house, 200+ miles away, 3 months before my sale completed and I was concerned leaving the property empty. Seymours Burpham agreed, in writing, that they’d go in once a week to check the property. To be fair they did this regularly initially, altho not always on the agreed day, right up until I exchanged contracts which was about 5 weeks prior to completing. Every single one of those weeks after exchange I had to chase them to ask them to go in and check and I felt like once I’d completed and they essentially had their fee in the bag, they forgot all about me. I therefore can’t recommend them and have scored them low because of this one thing.
Seymours sold our property at the trickiest time leading up to and during COVID-19 lockdown. From valuation to completion, Tracey and the team were professional, supportive and communicative. We really felt like they had our interests at heart and we valued their local knowledge. They know the market extremely well and we had a seamless experience with them. I found Simon to be really helpful and supportive in this somewhat unusual sale. Originally we were selling to a sitting tenant, but they had problems with their mortgage. Simon helped me to work with the lettings team to support the tenant vacating the property and finding a new home, whilst also picking up the sales process again.
As an owner living at the opposite end of the country, Simon helped me with a house clearance company and some cosmetic repairs that the buyer insisted were done just before exchange.

Every Member of the team that we dealt with from the initial contact to completion of the sale of our property was professional, honest and very good at communicating. Our past experience in dealing with estate agents hasn't been the best. Seymours are what everyone should look to and try to follow, they are a brilliant example of how to run a business and make the buying and selling of properties an easier process than it is with other people. We also used the companies that they recommended for other parts of the sale and they were all equally as good and reliable.
