I will struggle to say how great Seymour’s were with the sale of my flat. Firstly we all need a Kirsty in our lives to organise everything. Life would be a lot smoother with her calm, friendly, professional manner and her ability to corral all the different parties involved in selling my flat was amazing. The sales team were also wonderful. They got the flat valued accurately, understood what I was looking to achieve and had it on the market very quickly. Only took three weeks to have an accepted offer on it and that included the Christmas and New Years Breaks.
The whole team were kind and dealt with all my basic questions easily, in very clear English. This helped greatly in knowing what I was meant to be doing and at what time.
All in all a very positive smooth experience and I would recommend them to anyone!!

Once sold the exchange/completion process took a while because of Buyer constraints and poor conveying choice, but through this period Seymours (Kirsty) did a great job in managing the process, validating the information and chasing/accelerating it as much as possible

After struggling to get any interest in my property I switched agents to Seymours West Byfleet in mid-Sept, and little over 2 months later the sale has been completed! My initial contact was with Matthew Swing who is likeable and decisive, and although price drops were required, this was a reflection of the market at the time, and his confidence at achieving a quick sale proved correct. My main contact after accepting an offer was Kirsty Haydon, Sales Progressor, and she definitely knows how to make matters progress, and swiftly! It is a long time since I've sold a property, so I don't know if all agents have a 'Kirsty' but she is clearly a huge asset to Seymours, as I have no doubt that the whole process would have taken much longer than 7 weeks without her. I was very lucky to have a lovely buyer, but Kirsty was a great 'go-between', and she chased both solicitors ceaselessly to achieve the tight deadline my buyer required. After trying to sell our house for many months with Purple Bricks, we were approached by Matt who convinced us that marketing with Seymours would find us a buyer. Sadly the general decline in house prices meant that it was many more months and several price drops later before we began to get offers, but true to their word, they have come through.
The team at Seymours are very helpful, polite and professional. They are punctual and always keep you updated on arrival times when carrying out viewings. I wish now that we had put or property for sale with them at the beginning.

As a new comer to the UK, property searching is a really BIG challenge to me. Have viewed lots of property with different estate agents in Berkshire and Surrey, I can say that the team from Seymours West Byfleet really deserves a 5-star review.
The team of Michael, Kirsty, and Vince are amazing. They have clear-cut responsibilities so you’ll always know who to contact during the whole purchasing process.
My experience was wonderful from the first telephone chat with Michael. I asked to view a property advertised on Rightmove, but after listening to my requirements and expectations and budget, Michael proposed another property to me, which will be ready to go live a few weeks later. To be honest, by his description over the phone, I did fancy that was my dreamed house. And it REALLY was. He did a PERFECT property match.
Vince then helped us making the offer to the seller and the offer was accepted in 2 days. Starting from conveyance, it was Kirsty who communicated between the seller and us, following all the documents, monitoring the whole process, ensuring the time frame to be met. It was really amazing that we made a completion in 50 days!!!
Their service didn’t stop after passing the keys to you. Whenever I have questions about the house, Kirsty is in no hesitation to help getting the answer from the seller. That’s what “peace of mind” really means.
We are so happy with our dreamed house, and will highly recommend the team to people who are still in the mist of searching property.

After no luck with our current agent, we received a door knock from Jake @ Seymours, seeing if he could help with our sale. We were still in contract with the current agent but loosely stayed in touch with Jake until the term ended, at that point he came to value our property and advised the previous agent had marketed our home too high.

Think nothing of upsetting elderly sellers or applying undue pressure on them.
Will then try underhand tactics if you sell with another company after calling them out on the above.

The staff were unsurprised by the allegations of underhand tactics being put to them.
The guilty smirk of one of the office juniors and the arrogance of Matt who has previous for dishonesty and poor service, seeing the demise of his own agency, and the false denials of Vince who has a local reputation as being dishonest speak volumes in their deflection of this review.

Avoid like the plague if you have a fairly low value house to be sold, when buying a house as a first time buyer, with a 50% deposit, I found their sales skills to be nothing short of dreadful.
Especially if you view at weekends, but at other times too, you tend to get part time sales people who know absolutely nothing;
I had one who was firstly very late, then secondly said "you have 5 minutes for this house as I'm running behind", and thirdly when I asked general questions about the house and area she actually said "I don't know, if you want to ask questions you can call the office"! I actually felt sorry for the poor person who was giving them probably £3000+ to sell their house!

After a vile misadventure I took part in I had to sell my family home. In this day and age I’m astonished how superficially some people take commitment. I was to be divorced from someone I realised I didn’t know at all.
With this sort of atmosphere you can imagine how difficult it would be for any poor soul getting involved between me and the professional victim.
However Seymours did themselves proud throughout their dealings with this marital thievery. Vince, Luca, Marcus, Lucy, Kirsty.
Organisations are made up of people … it is them who make a service shine. No doubt I’ve left someone out (and if so I’m sorry) but this team shone. Both as a professional team but also as individuals. Vince has got the touch for recruitment.
We had 15 viewings over three days and got three offers. Seymour’s did their due diligence and an offer was accepted.
Then the fun started. The buyer knew his stuff better than me and Seymour’s helped with the necessary negotiations after they had three different surveys. Who surveys drain fgs??
We agreed a final price and then we all had to wait while some rather painful divorce negotiations took place. And wait … and wait.
During this time Kirsty took over the driving seat from the sales / viewing engine of the business.
Being older I did wonder as Kirsty seemed young for such responsibility. However it transpired very quickly that my ageism was simply a negative perception and Kirsty not only knew her stuff but could tap dance with delivery like a good ‘un.
When you’re going through ‘stuff’ it easy to forget others are waiting. It was Kirsty who had to give me the ‘cut the bullsh1t Alastair, you’ve got a week to sort out this stuff or lose the buyer.’ It takes courage to say something like that and call a spade a JCB. However to do it with grace and empathy is a true gift. Well done Kirsty!
So if you’re going with this office of Seymour’s good for you. Yes they are a franchise but a bloody good one. I’ve been on both sides of buying from them and now selling.
They do have the special list of people waiting for the right property. They can deliver within expectation and they will support you with their specialist knowledge.
If you are just thinking of Seymour’s. Consider that they are not just local but have good contacts with other Seymours offices to generate more contacts as well as really knowing this locale and all its nuances.
I leave Seymours safe hands to move away from the area. But if I was ever coming back …. Guess who I’d be using??

I’ve called them on a Thursday midday and made an appointment to view a house, which we really liked, 48 hours later on the next Saturday midday.
There was no email to confirm the appointment, just different emails advertising other houses in their portfolio, which I found somewhat strange.
But as I had made an appointment over the phone i didn’t thought too much about it.
Wife spent the next 48h planning out and decorating our future house.
On Saturday – the whole family (me , wife, 3 kids) drove 1h from central London to greater London and arrived very excited and on time – but no one to be seen.
After a little wait I called their office. The person on the phone which didn’t showed any interest just told me “ Oh – this one has been sold”.
They knew my email and mobile no - but no one contacted in any form to cancel the appointment or give me an update on the house.
(As a side note - I was called back shortly after initial call on Thursday - to confirm my email as there was a typo – so they definitely knew my email and mobile no)
Furthermore - I honestly don’t believe they did sell the house in between. I’m just baffled and disappointed.

Not only did they manage a long and arduous chain, they helped us with our purchase through another agent, in another location! Having bought and sold numerous properties; this team have a great spirit. They work as a team and we can't thank them enough for their efforts and hard work and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to purchase or sell a home. Really poor and uncaring estate agents who treated us terribly. Seemed to petend to care about us as buyers and gave us certainty that the house was ours whereas in reality they were just using us as a pawn to get another buyer to offer more. Promised to help us out at afterwards to find other options and then never heard from them again. Don't go anywhere near them.

We wanted to sell our house and did the usual of selecting three local estate agents. We had a rough idea of what our property was worth in comparison to similar sold properties in the area, and were keen to sell. Two of the estate agents valued the property, in our opinion, too high and we would not have sold, or sold quickly, had we opted to go with them.
Vince from Seymours however valued the property at a more realistic price and on that basis, we engaged Seymours services.
In less than a month the house was sold and at a price we were happy to proceed with.

The staff member Tonya listened me and quickly came up with potential properties, also keeping me updated and showing me around the homes. The brochure contained a well written description with good photos which really enhanced the features of the property.
