Hebe and Amelia at Luscombe May were brilliant during the recent purchase of our new (old) home near Dartington. They kept everything on the rails, making sure we were well informed throughout. They chivvied when necessary, managed negotiations with the vendor brilliantly, and were always good humoured.<br>Highly recommended.

Our experience with this estate agent was extremely disappointing.<br><br>Communication started off well, but the level of service quickly fell below our expectations. We were shocked to discover that the asking price of our property had been reduced without our knowledge or consent. We also felt there was very little proactive follow up with viewers who had shown genuine interest but weren’t quite ready to proceed.<br><br>Sadly, we came away feeling let down by the service and would not choose to use them again.

Whilst we initially found the staff friendly, unfortunately that’s where our positive experience ended.<br><br>We had several very disappointing experiences with the Newton Ferrers branch. The most concerning was discovering that our asking price had been reduced without our instruction or approval. We also felt that potential buyers were not followed up effectively, despite several viewers expressing interest once they had sold their own properties.<br><br>At the outset, we were told they were confident they could sell our house within two weeks. Twenty weeks later, it still hadn’t sold. To add to our frustration, we were then asked to pay a £200 exit fee when leaving.<br><br>One thing I hadn’t appreciated from the outset was that signing up meant being tied into a 20 week contract, so I’d strongly recommend reading the terms carefully before committing.<br><br>Overall, we found the service disappointing and would encourage anyone considering using this branch to do their own research and proceed with caution.

The rural sales team were friendly, honest and supportive in the sales and marketing of a unique property. Their professionalism and hard work resulted in an excellent response with viewings that led to offers in a subdued market. Throughout a protracted and complex sales process, the team kept us informed all the way through and communicated with all parties quickly and professionally. They have an in depth knowledge and provide honest, practical advice to ensure your property is marketed to its full potential. They worked extremely hard to get this difficult sale through, and we could not have done it without them. I would thoroughly recommend them.
